    I’ve skated 100+ miles in a day on multiple occasions, not once have I needed to switch kick
    I run an older Globe Geminon drop deck, with the Paris v2 weed trucks you mention in this video and organatang purple nipple barrels, with the orange orangatang kegels, setup is 7 years old maybe older, have repaired and strengthened the deck, had to resecure my kingpin in both trucks, gone through 5-7 sets of bearings and everything is still going strong
    Hoping to upgrade trucks, wheels and bearings soon

    Hey, Jay. First-time visitor to your channel - liked and subscribed. I look forward to viewing your content - long distance skateboarding/longboarding and racing has always intrigued me, including the type of long-distance skateboarding that Chad Caruso recently completed when he skateboarded across the U.S. and set the Guinness Book World Record, which I think is over-the-top awesome because he skateboarded as fast or faster than some bicyclists.
    Anyway, hope 2024 is a great year for your racing! Cheers!

    I rock it like you. Little tighter in the rear. I go a little softer with the front truck bushings. Gets that rear truck to stabilize and track the front truck and it allows the steering through the front truck to be a bit more responsive to my lean. I do 50 degree front and rear but I know quite a few guys that like 50 for the front and a rear somewhere in the 40's, 43 or 45 degrees. One guy rocks Bear Gen 6 155mm front and Paris V3 165mm rear; offset angles as well as widths.

      Those are good riding setups. The one that would mess me up is the feel my board slanted with the different ride heights on the trucks lol

    So I'm not racing or nothing. But my front truck is tighter for better stability. Curious to try it the other way around tho. Great video mane.

      Ohh okay I gotchu, yeah I think the other way around it would turn a tad better because most of our turning comes from our back foot, so you loosen that and it's gonna turn way more. Glad you found some value in the video 🤙🏾

    I once tried riding with the back truck tighter and since then I haven't gone back. I currently ride a 145mm RKP on the front and a 105 TKP on the back. It makes the deck very stable but also very turny since the wheelbase is around 24"

    How do you feel riding a board that is high above the ground?

    • @Mr.MeetJay
      @Mr.MeetJay  10 місяців тому

      I personally like it because I'm able to get a lot more power from my kick because I'm seated up higher. But for long distances, upwards of 25+ it can take a toll on your legs and glutes

    Hi Jay, I think you need your own boards review channel 🛹👍 what do you think about bustin sportster?

    • @Mr.MeetJay
      @Mr.MeetJay  Рік тому +1

      Lol yeah I probably do. Ive never owned the sportster, but I've had friends that have let me use it in passing and I like it. It's a good distance skating board. I would use it if I had it
