Hand on pump best tune
Dope reaction my dude. Pun very much intended. Cypress Hill been one of the pioneers of West Coast weed rap since the early 90s, and B-Real on 1st definitely got one of the most iconic cadences in hip-hop.
You clearly need Method Man, Redman & Cypress Hill - "Hits From The Bong" in your rotation.
These guys have so many great songs. If they ever come around on tour GO SEE THEM! It's the most fun. Check out "Rap superstar" or "Cock the hammer" or "Dr. Greenthumb" or "Hit's from the Bong" or "How I could just kill a man". Love them.
Hit's From The Bong , Leo you'll love it man !!!!
Stop stealing my Spotify playlist. Seriously though, a deep dive on Cypress Hill is in order.
@@1971tallica and i wanna get high
@@Uthgardloki yes !
@@elementdw They have never made a bad album. Hella underrated. I put on Black Sunday after I saw dudes video lol. LOVE IT!
I made my first water bong after listening to Cypress Hill, 25 tears ago. So please do Cypress Hill "Hits From The Bong". You should have heard it the first day you started smokin.
The beginning jump on the sofa never gets old....LMAO!
The way he was able to foresee the bars and spit out “go out drinking” before it was spoken shows the my mans here @Mr. Video knows how to spit some bars💯
😂 “Caucasian Americans” .... 😂 yeah this song was EVERYWHERE in the 90’s. I remember signing this and I was 6, maybe 7? Had no clue what it was about. But yeah great group!
Classic 90s west coast rap. Always seems that multi-cultural bands/groups etc are always so damn good.
Suicidal for life.
Yeah man, a little latin flavor, a little hip-hop flavor, the best recipes have all kinds of ingredients that complement each other, and when you balance them right, that shit is gourmet deliciousness. Same with La Musica. Seems like music stagnates here and there, starts sounding them same, and then another flavor comes in and it changes the game. As it should, a little change can be awesome, how boring would it be if all music "had" to be limited in some way. The good news is that we can find other music every day if we take the opportunity to seek it out. Personally, music is my spine that keeps me moving and connected.
true
Check out Prophets of Rage. It's B Real from Cypress Hill, Chuck D from Public Enemy, and Rage Against the Machine band members
Meanwhile my all white little town in the cornfields of Iowa knew all about Cypress Hill. Those first two CDs from 91 and 93 are loaded with great songs. I loved them in high school and still love them today and those first two cds are in my truck right now. I keep about 6 cds in my truck and those first two albums are two of them.
Cypress Hill was one of my first concerts... someone threw a joint roller on the stage and the lead singer stopped, picked it up and laughed, said “someone thinks I can’t roll my own?!” and threw it back into the audience 🤣
It was mandatory to burn one down when this came on back in the day.
Chicanos used to get an N pass in the 90s for some reason lol
he's half afro-cuban
B Real Grew up in South Central L.A. & is a Real Member of The Neighborhood Family Bloods
They still do?
@@leemp337 no he isnt. His dad is Mexican and his mom is Cuban
@@Hhhjam1975 yes they still do. My hubby is Chicano & he grew up in the hood every black guy he talks to has no problem with him saying it. It's like they're instantly comfortable with him 🤷♀️
Hits from the bong is another good one from them. I'm mainly a rock/metal fan but this was one of my favorite rap groups.
Check out “How I Could Just Kill A Man” with Rage Against the Machine
Indeed. RAGE is AWESOME!
I'm from that time Lol
It's been near 20yrs since I last saw this video and song...memories *sigh*.
You should’ve seen them live! Bongs and spliffs galore on and off stage, total party days....I’m 54 and soooo happy I was alive for the hey day of great music💜🎵🤘🏿💜
rage against the machine covered their "how i could just kill a man"
Been waiting for some Cypress Hill. Company I worked for in the mid 2000’s sponsored their semi-pro paintball team, The Stoned Assassins.
Hits from the bongggg!
You have got to do “Hits From The Bong” as a cannabis smoker yo!!! Not their best song, but a great chill out and get really really high song
obviously the next song of theirs to react to is "I want to get high" Cypris Hill is fucking epic!
As an uncomfortable with yourself 20 something year old (almost 30 something years ago), one of the biggest highlights of my life was being at an outdoor concert in AZ, walking past the members of Cyprus Hill, and getting "checked out" by them lol! Boosted this low self esteem girls heart right up! Will never forget that! Love Cyprus Hill!!!!
Cyress Hill is recognized as the first Latino hip hop group. Formed in 1988 in South Gate, Los Angeles. Members "Senn Dogg" and "Mello Man Ace" are brothers born in Cuba, emigrating to the US in 1971. Member "B-Real" is Mexican-Cuban born in LA. "DJ Muggs" was born in NY and adopted into a Norwegian family who moved to LA when he was 14. Mello Man Ace left the group for a solo career before the groups success.
wow. memories. i was a huge fan of mellow man ace!
There right up there with Sublime..
Well said.
You’re invited to our Latino parties every time bro! You FAM!
The moment when you hear your very own theme song for the first time.
You always put "Why didn't y'all tell me" when you finally react to something we've been trying to tell you about... case in point, Arrested Development - Mr Wendel, Tennessee, People Everyday
Been trying to tell you...
Cypress Hill is great so check out "How I could Just Kill a Man" "when the shit goes down" and I'm sure your next fav "Hits from the bong".
"They had to be popular because I've seen this on a lot of 'the other people's' shirts. Caucasian Americans" I fucking love your reactions 😂😂😂😂
As an American whose ancestors are from Caucasia, I endorse this comment.
@@arcanewyrm6295 I second this.
Would love to get a few seeds again!
Back then was live concert love!
These homies scared ice cube so bad he went into the movie 🎥 business, he messed with the wrong ones!
I was 13 when this came out....and it was that time period when your music, as a kid, kinda of dominates the house and you argue until your parent's put on your radio station (I feel old just saying that)...so my MOM knew this song....and loved it......and STILL SINGS IT (minus the N word). She remembers this and Wu Tang Clan. Lol
I remember when this came out and my friend had the cassette, I borrowed his Walkman so I could listen to it on repeat. Finally saw them in concert in 2004, San Diego Street Scene. A cloud of smoke rose from the crowd so powerful I had to stay in the back!
I saw them in college. (90's) An outdoor show with a lightning storm in the background. Amazing.
"When the sh*t goes down" very underrated cypress hill song
Better be ready
Digital Underground - The Humpty Dance
Lol
I’ve seen Cypress Hill at least 4-5 times in early 2000’s my homeys use to book them at their shows and then seen them couple times at the Annual “Cypress Hill Smoke Outs” in SoCal. Always rock a show!!! 👏🏼
Cypress Hill was the shit back in the day. They had a lot of hit songs. And collabos with many artist. And they are unreal live in concert
Cypress Hill is the first Latin-American hip hop group to have sold multi-platinum and platinum albums, having sold over 20 million albums worldwide.
Thank you for letting folks know these are Spanish American aka Spanglish
Rock Superstar - Cypress Hill. IMO thats their most badass song, and was a huge hit in the early 2000s. Also, "Roll It Up, Light It Up, Smoke It Up" is an epic smokers anthem.
One of THE MOST INSANE FUN concerts I been to back in the late 90s/early 2000s (i forget the year...smoked a ton..I digress lol..) Cypress Hill had a 20+ foot bong, they would bring out on stage and people would literally try to clear that shit and be dyinnnnn 😂🤣
I miss THOSE times!!
B-Real is Mexican and Cuban, Sen Dog is Cuban, DJ Muggs is Italian. A lot of Cubans have some Black ancestry (Sen Dog does for sure). Cypress Hill was and is loved by all kinds of people.
The only group able to sample "Mr. Ed" neighing and make it fly.
Only a true fan knows, you awesomeness!
“Headed up the creek with a boat and no paddle...and I’m handing out beat downs..”
“Light it up” inhale exhale, just got a ounce in the mail. Hehe this weed smokin music!...wait that’s “hits from the bong”
HUGE club hit in NYC.
I love that you spend time with us old folks. Who knew that it would be so entertaining to watch youth experience our era of stuff. You're amazing and have a special essence to you that make people want to hang with you
Hi Leo! I hope you had a good weekend. I've been offline for a while and the first thing I did was come hit my favorite channel to see what all I missed. Thanks for leaving a bunch of new vids for me to binge while I recover.
Also, for your own pleasure (or ours if you decide to record it for us) I would suggest you check out Pinky and the Brain version of this same song
As a white Canadian I definitely approve and love the term “caucasian American”.
Listen to their album temple of boom from start to finish. Their best album imo.
“How I could just kill a man” off their self titled album or “I wanna get high” from black sunday
Yea for whatever reason Cyprus Hill really took off with the 90s grunge/ altrock crowd, anybody from DC knows they were all over DC101 back in the day
Saw these guys open up for...Slipknot last year. Incredible show!
"the other color people's shirt" I'm using this from now on.
If you make it to CA, hit up a Dr. Greenthumbs dispensary. It's owned by B-Real...awesome artist, businessman and cannabis advocate!
B-Real, the guy who's "on the border", is half Mexican and half Cuban.
Dude... loved the energy in this video. And yes... B Real and Cypress Hill is fantastic! Grew up listening to them.
B-Real is Cuban. Depending on who you ask, it counts. Depending on Cypress Hill's reputation, it definitely counts.
