When you install the huntsman tyres , if you take the rear mud guard stainless steel support and under fit it iinstead of it going on the outside as from the factory you get the clearance needed and no extensions needed it all just fits neatly 😊
How many hours of riding and doing deliveries around town, before the planetary hub eMotor seizure / FAIL ? What did the LCD das kit digital odometer read when it failed ? Where were you exactly when it frooze / seized on you ? Rough estimate on how many Kms or miles did it read, when it "shit itself " ? How much did MoveBikes charge $ you, if they did not supply a complete new exchange Bafang eMotor ? Was your F1000 out of the limited one year warranty period ? I see typical gear race & epicyclic with lack of proper grease & lubrication.... Do you think Bafang OEM did not charge the eMotor epicyclic with substantial LUBE in the first place ? The mehanic in video, examined teeth&race but did not exchange or condemn the whole assembly. Why ? What type of grease did that mechanic actually apply....general or something specialized with your heavy duty wear & tear demands in mind ? Have you noticed changes for the better or WORSE ? Has the new epicyclic RATIO gear teeth : gear race... increased the TORQUE or SPEED of your eBike ? Reason is I'm interested and thinking of purchasing this particular folding eBike F1000 model. Need to know that it will not FAIL just after the 12 month warranty period. Cheers R :*)
How many hours of riding and doing deliveries around town, before the planetary hub eMotor seizure / FAIL ? -- lots of deliveries.. and lots of inclining climb as well.. and it fail because on 1 rainy day, i push it too much like almost 10 hours without stop. suddenly it breaks the gear like 20% i think.. cause i can hear the sound but it still working. and then 2 weeks after it fails totally on a climb. What did the LCD das kit digital odometer read when it failed ? -- the Das Kit works perfectly. Where were you exactly when it frooze / seized on you ? -- on kent street bike path to millers point. Rough estimate on how many Kms or miles did it read, when it "shit itself " ? -- i would say if you use it normally, it wont break that easily. it did on mine because i overuse it How much did MoveBikes charge $ you, if they did not supply a complete new exchange Bafang eMotor ? -- they dont have the replacement gear at first. and if i want to fix it.. need to buy new motor $500, but i found it online and bought it for $75 and they charged my $50 so in total it was $125 Was your F1000 out of the limited one year warranty period ? yes, its like 1 year and 5 months i think when it happened I see typical gear race & epicyclic with lack of proper grease & lubrication.... Do you think Bafang OEM did not charge the eMotor epicyclic with substantial LUBE in the first place ? -- i think they did. but i just rode it on super duper extreme heavy rain.. maybe the rainwater get into there. The mehanic in video, examined teeth&race but did not exchange or condemn the whole assembly. Why ? -- because he know the gear was broken.. i went there 2 weeks prior and they already know what the problem is. so they just need to change the gear with the new one. What type of grease did that mechanic actually apply....general or something specialized with your heavy duty wear & tear demands in mind ? -- this one, i'm not sure Have you noticed changes for the better or WORSE ? -- it is the same.. totally 100% same.. no change Has the new epicyclic RATIO gear teeth : gear race... increased the TORQUE or SPEED of your eBike ? -- nothing change at all.. because if the RATIO is different.. it wont fit on the first place. Reason is I'm interested and thinking of purchasing this particular folding eBike F1000 model. -- no, it wont break like mine.. this is the super monster heavy world class e bike. Need to know that it will not FAIL just after the 12 month warranty period. Cheers R :*) -- it will only break like mine, when you use it like me.. 10 hours in SUPER DUPER EXTREME HEAVY RAIN..hahahaha yes i'm crazy.. thanks ;) Cheers!
I found the sequence where the MoveBikes mechanic disassembles the hub and ! YES !...I was correct in saying that the eMotor has very little protection against FLOODING. Reason is the the ORANGE O-RING seen in your FAB VIDEO. The O-RING is not an o-ring anymore and is probably FLAT SPOTTED plus these mass produced eMotors have dedicated MANUFACTURING ENGINEERS that work out how to MAXIMISE PROFITS by CUTTING CORNERS literally in this case. It's about targeting the O-RING & SEAL/ HUB HOUSING....there is no o-ring KEY. What was a circular O=Ring is shoved up into hub corner and the FLANGE has no gasket at all. The flange itself should have a dedicated GASKET ...making a SEAL against dirt -water ingress----purpose built for it. I see none at all ! The MoveBike mechanic did not replace nor make-good a proper seal and put it back the way it came....SOOooooo CONSUMER BEWARE that it will probably FLOOD again and waste LUBE from the STAR-GEAR / EPICYCLIC and SEIZE. Could be over the handle-bars at downhill speed and another long walk, legging it back with that 34KG = 75lbs = I 1/2 bags of portland cement. The ET Cycle F1000 is a heavy weight unit another spec people over-look. Do the recording of Kent St to Millers Point now its operational. All the best noisy neighbour....Robert a very experienced applied science & engineer :*)
PS....why don't you take the opportunity of using your camera at work during interesting delivery runs and shoot the complete Kent St to Millers Point run on the repaired ET Cycle F1000. I know that route runs over the Harbour Bridge. Point out to your audience using AUDIO like my RODE PRO Wireless mounted on your helmet etc to describe EVENTS and all the 10 : 1 HILL CLIMBS & STAIRS that the ET Cycle F1000 had to perform & manage on that SUPA DUPA RAINY NIGHT....before F1000 went " BUNG ". Did you have to walk the ET Cycle back to Kiribilli / Milson's Point Railway Station and then back to home base ? R
i couldn't even think about recording when it happened. what on my mind was how to get that heavy bike back to my home first. and yes i walk it back like about 2KM :)) and i went to the shop on the next day to get it repaired
Hi Noisy Neighbour....so you're firm on WATER INGRESS....that's water entering the interior TRANSMISSION gearbox--- inside the rear eMotor HUB and washing out all VERY IMPORTANT LUBE inside----which according to your experience riding it... is the main cause of FAIL ?...... NO LUBE !!.....How the heck did water get into a highly developed eMotor that they are mass producing in China by the hundreds of thousands ? I'm going to ckeck your video again and see if I can spot any SEALS built into the hub motor D&C transmission. I'll post a TIME sequence if I spot any....but I reckon it has NO SEALS !! from the " Made In China get go ". Proper solution would be a bead of GASKET / SILICONE GOO around the hub assembly to SEAL it. Do you think MoveBike mechanic has sealed it properly when he repaired ? Can you make a list of replacement hub eMotor and transmission(s) that you researched prior to sending F1000 back into the MoveBikes workshop at Surry Hills....post up on comments, please ? What is the actual brand of eMotor that dodgy LEON Cycles / MoveBikes are putting on the F1000 eBikes anyhow....please list. R :*)
yes, the Lube washed out because of the rain i suppose. and that might be because a few week prior i went to the shop trying to replace the gear, but they didn't have the replacement. thats why they need to open it and re sealed it again.. maybe that's when the SEAL fail somehow. but anyway.. if you don't overdo the bike, this is the BEST BEAST you can get ;)
