Leaked transcript of the DAMN. review: Feefo - Now, Kendrick always got me not knowing what to expect and, with this album, that was definitely the case. I did not know what to expect with this. Ever since Schoolboy's and Childish's records, I said to myself, "okay, I gotta make sure these joints bump in da whip," and that's exactly what I did. I bumped this shit in da whip. and I gotta say: this buuumps in da whip. I fuck with this album hard. Bruh, that one track, forget the name think it's called AND or NAD or DAN or some shit. That was a banger. Big up, Kendrick. Kinge - Man this kid amazes me everytime with what he does from Section.80 to good kid, M.A.A.D city to To Pimp a Butterfly to untitled unmastered. This is crazy when you think of this album on a psychological, sociological level. His projects never disappoint. Maybe it's time to make him a GOAT. Beezy - Yeah Kendrick Lamar man. You're batting a hundred with me, 5 outta 5. Myke - This record serves as a prime example as to why we should take a couple eons to review an album and Imma tell you why. I heard it the first time and I was like man the fuck happened to Kendrick. But on the 34,547th listen, the shit clicked for me. He is describing himself - his makeup- and how it makes him him. He be comparing himself to Pac and shit, it's dope. Except it's not cohesive enough. Great album and I support the message 110%. Except for that Rihanna track, fuck that track.
This is a review based channel, not a first reaction channel. They actually listen to the album, multiple times, before putting out their opinions on the projects. Stop asking about albums that just dropped. They'll get to it.
I feel like the people that say that Freddie Gibbs going at Logic was a reach, doesn't know that he did that because their album teaser had the exact same concept of zooming out from the album cover inside of a museum. It wasn't simply because of the cover itself
Tyree Harris it didn't have the same concept lmao. Logics was like hundreds of years in the future where the lady described the album and the kids questioned peoples race. And if you dont think that the album trailed was made wayyy before he released it then idk what to tell you
Literally never said that I agreed with Freddie. I'm simply saying that the people on Twitter or whatever that are saying he's mad about the cover are just wrong.
You have a point but until we know exactly what was in each camp's head about the filming and the timeline of the promos it seems slightly like a jump of a gun, even if there is a point. We all love Freddie's passion but if he's wrong then it just is what it is.
Brah.....wtf DEHH I've been waiting a whole week for Kendrick's Damn album review, I know that may not seem long lol but I've been checking the channel and my recommendations 3 times a day for a week and I cannot freakin wait for the review already GODDAMn. I'll survive but yeeaaaaaaaaaah that's how badly I wanna see the review already
Love you blokes, can tell you are all very passionate about Hip-Hop music. I've been watching your vids for a long time and have enjoyed seeing your popularity increase. Keep keeping it real! Hip-Hop lives!
Yo, I keep forgetting to say something but Ken. . . your beard is legit as hell. Like, from a younger dude I'm telling you that your level of beard swag is admirable.
Gibbs calling out Logic wasn't a complete reach. If he's talking about the artwork, then yes, but the announcement trailers on pretty much the same. I'm pretty sure that's what he was referring to.
Had to stop watching Fist Of The North Star for this shit. Was anticipating this one for a minute, great job guys! Although about the Logic thing, he didn't come at him that hard like that.
Phone Lit clearly like that for the purposes of him being back in LA. Back to the industry, people finally checking for him. That sound made total sense for me.
Myke need to understand that Gibbs was actively fighting his case. Its not like he was just serving his bid and sitting in his cell writing rhymes. He didn't know how long he would be in prison. He wasn't in the best situation to zone in like that so he had to ease his mind back into music with this EP. Hence the album title. PAC came out of jail like YOLO while Gibbs being a lil more patient.
Ayyee! I think You Only Live 2wice is perfect. Even though it was only 8 tracks, it still felt like a complete experience to me, similarly to Earls I don't go outside and Kendricks Untitled Unmastered, which I think takes a certain level of skill to be able to do. Freddie Gibbs is a flat out beast on the mic and I might not agree that he's necessarily better than Jay Rock, I do think Gibbs has his own niche with his lyrical content. Jay Rock raps are about gangster shit all-around, but Freddie focuses more on drug dealing and defending himself, but deciding whether or not which one is better would be a whole other entire conversation, definitely interesting to think about tho. The production fits Freddie Gibbs perfectly and none of the beats sound similar, and the way he flows on the beat, it's almost like his flow and voice are apart of the beats themselves, like if you took away the vocals it would take away from the production entirely. 20 Karat Jesus was an amazing way to open the album, and that beat switch up was incredible. One of the best bars on the album was on Alexys, "Get successful and watch how you immediately become their competition, niggas worse than a side bitch, they can't quite stay in a position, don't know what niggas crave more, money or attention, and these the niggas I'm cool with, my enemies I have yet to mention", that is real as fuck! I don't wanna keep posting quotables, but I think another one of the stand out bars on the album is on Andrea, "niggas always talking about bitches ain't shit, caught a charge, my baby momma was solid as a brick, all the niggas I was feeding, they ain't give a nigga shit", I honestly wouldn't even expect Freddie Gibbs to say anything like that, Andrea is definitely my favorite track too especially with the vintage feel that it gives. I think the last three tracks are the best on the whole album and Homesick in my opinion was a great way to end the album. Sometimes Freddie's flow is real fast so I had to rewind a few times but when you hear what he's saying, the imagery he creates just flips perfectly in my head like a movie bro, I fucking love this album lol, This might be my album of the year so far. I was excited to hear what y'all had to say! Thanks for the review and please stay awesome!
Smh dehh calls us impatient and gets on us for complaining but what do you expect when it's a one week delay? We understand you guys can't review an album the first day but it's been a whole week I'm sure you all have opinions on it by now 🤷🏾♂️
sdghv lvhgngv I am a teenager, 17 to be exact. If a teenager is someone who wants content from one of their favorite UA-cam channels and not have to wait a long period of time for it then I am a proud teenager, not sure what your point is....
Freddie probably has some of the most tangible charisma in Hip Hop right now. Even if I wasn't 100% on the album, it's always a damn joy to here him on a track. Anyways, when are you fuckheads gonna review Super Mario Run?
I love Freddie. I like him on that smooth Madlib production more (who doesn't) but I can get with this project. It's short and sweet and Indiana (even though he claims Chi more) needs to promote good MCs. To the Logic thing I wonder if some internet people hyped Freddie up to make it seem like Logic bit. Judging from his concept I can't see how he stole the idea anyway. (In the end glad they squashed their issues.)
SideEffekt44 Pinata (2014) w/ madlib was my first time listening to him and thats my favorite album from him. You should start there and then go to shadow of a doubt (2015).
I love these recent videos because they're reminiscent of the old videos where there was no structure and it was an actual conversation

Deodat Lawson lmao
Deodat Lawson 😂😂😂
Deodat Lawson and just like that, we don't even need a DAMN. review any more.
Robert Lucero You already know Feefo didn't know what to expect
Feefo be like "this wasn't your prototypical Kendrick album"
This is a review based channel, not a first reaction channel. They actually listen to the album, multiple times, before putting out their opinions on the projects. Stop asking about albums that just dropped. They'll get to it.
They'll never get it at this point.
This Freddie Gibbs album is good! Not as good as Piñata or Shadow of a doubt. But damn, 20 Karot Jesus is AMAZING
Amazing review as always
Backpack Guy! agreed
I couldn't get passed Amnesia, that shit too hard 🔥 so glad gangsta Gibbs back
Blank Face Amnesia was 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Blank Face "girl search thru a nigga phone I caught amnesia" haha shit had me rollin 🐐
+Marcus Mosley "feds snatched a nigga up I caught amnesia"
Freddie Gibbs = GOAT
Gibbs just posted a picture to Instagram of him face timing Logic. they are cool
"20 Karat Jesus" and "Amnesia" is Napalm in a Vietnam Rain Forest Fire.
We all want damn but Freddie Gibbs go hard asf still
Fuck damn that shit trash this album harder than Kendricks whole shit, and this isn't even Freddie's best work
I'm kinda disapointed Dana Williams wasn't on a track. I always look forward to them. You heard McDuck? it's amazing.
Cool review, I might have to check out Freddie Gibbs for the first time.......thanks for the upload :)

I love how all these comments are telling people to stop asking for DAMN. but there's no comments about DAMN.
love that you guys changes the setting! reminds me of the classic reviews
Glad they're taking time with the Damn. review. This is honestly one of his most dense projects.
Great to see this, it's like a video from the old days outside. Proper conversations.
I feel like the people that say that Freddie Gibbs going at Logic was a reach, doesn't know that he did that because their album teaser had the exact same concept of zooming out from the album cover inside of a museum. It wasn't simply because of the cover itself

It doesn't matter at all now, Freddie posted a picture of him and logic facetiming on insta. So the Freddie fans can chill
Can't wait for the DAMN review, they help me find out so much more about an album lmao
Brah.....wtf DEHH I've been waiting a whole week for Kendrick's Damn album review, I know that may not seem long lol but I've been checking the channel and my recommendations 3 times a day for a week and I cannot freakin wait for the review already GODDAMn. Dont fill the comments with shit related to the kdot album, everything in due time, respect gibbs
Anything Freddie put out has been fire.
Love you blokes, can tell you are all very passionate about Hip-Hop music. I've been watching your vids for a long time and have enjoyed seeing your popularity increase. Keep keeping it real! Hip-Hop lives!
I like that they are waiting to drop the Damn album review. It takes more than 1 listen
Yo, I keep forgetting to say something but Ken. . . your beard is legit as hell. Like, from a younger dude I'm telling you that your level of beard swag is admirable.
What I also find interesting about Crushed Glass is it's sample of Sade's Fear and how the concept relates to freddie gibbs' lyrics
feels like summer again with all these outside shoots
Gibbs calling out Logic wasn't a complete reach. If he's talking about the artwork, then yes, but the announcement trailers on pretty much the same. I'm pretty sure that's what he was referring to.
Patreon up in this 1st!

Great review! BTW Myke IMO Freddie Gibbs sounds a lot like Trae Tha Truth more than Scarface

Had to stop watching Fist Of The North Star for this shit. Was anticipating this one for a minute, great job guys!
Although about the Logic thing, he didn't come at him that hard like that.
I was digging this Gibbs. Now I want Piñata 2.
Y'all deserve a million subs
I am super fucking interested to hear what Myke thinks of DAMN. But Gibbs is one of my favorites of the year
I miss these outside & public reviews.
Nobody better e like "Need that BAD review" shits so deep and IT JUST CAME OUT, give it time damn.
at this point there are 3 things I need to complete a Kendrick project release.
Kendrick Album
Big Quint - Review
Dead end hip hop - Review
This video has a different feel to it, yall should def do a vid or two outside once in a while good stuff
He didn't know how long he would be in prison. mike c town really thought that kickin it like solange in an elevator line was sooooo dope and creative
Shawn Brown I liked the line. So?
Whats good myke. I thought the line was so simple so I'm just shocked at your reaction to it.
Comment section about to be all DAMN. related
Mike With the Entrance! hit em with the 180
I'm ready for that Kendrick review God dam!!
I much prefer the outdoor setting for reviews :)
this album reminded me of his BFK mixtape which was one of my favorite projects from him
i agree with myke tho about phone lit..terrible. he's always got one bad one
Gibbs should still drop both of those 'Lifestyles of the Insane' & 'Eastside Slim' projects.
Money made me forget guess I got amnesia
I like the outdoor scenery, but why the sudden change?

Freddie probably has some of the most tangible charisma in Hip Hop right now. Even if I wasn't 100% on the album, it's always a damn joy to here him on a track.

Two of the best MCs named Don Trip and Starlito has yet to be reviewed by you guys. What's up with that?
Where's the damn review?
I completely agree, I enjoyed this but it did not feel like a album to me at all.
I love Freddie. I like him on that smooth Madlib production more (who doesn't) but I can get with this project. Crushed Glass my favorite song so far

Is this a good project to start listening to Freddie? Or should I go back to his older projects first?
SideEffekt44 Pinata (2014) w/ madlib was my first time listening to him and thats my favorite album from him. You should start there and then go to shadow of a doubt (2015).
Cold day in hell straight killa no filla baby face killa piñata shadow of a doubt
