It's funny how I keep coming back to your videos each time I get a new speaker. 😂 I got a second Maxsound Plus. Really appreciate how open it feels in TWS. Not a setup I'd use for my bass needs (for obvious reasons) but for a nice, airy, large, detailed and neutral sound, without any harshness / piercing treble, man they do sound really nice ! To me it's the perfect setup for serious listening on Bluetooth speakers 😁

I always thought they needed to do exactly what the plus is, a bigger boom with tweeters. I am very interested in seeing how close it can come to our JBL Boombox 2. My god, for the pre-order price of under $150 it looks to be another incredible deal.

I love maxsound plus, idk but it sound so clean to me, i have two i always put them on stereo mode but my phone has a mono setting so what i do is put them facing each other 7 meters apart, i love listening to acoustic becs the vocal and guitar is great
Hey Alan! Thanks to your reviews I have just bought Motion + ! Absolutely fantastic equipment! When you set the EQ it plays really great ! I also have a Fresh'n Rebel Soul speaker at home. I think it is a good competitor for the Motion+. Strong bass, the rest of the range very pleasant to the ear. For those who like strong and soft bass this would also be a good option. I was seriously weighing up getting a JBL flip 6, but I watched your comparison with the upgraded boost and I can't believe I'm still surprised by how good soundcore is. Pulled the trigger for 47 pounds on Amazon, it's unbelievable value. Plus I love how dense the thing feels for its size, oozes quality imo. Already have a boom and a mini 3 so now it's like I'm collecting the whole set 🤣 thanks again mate 👍

The Soundstage is excellent but the Deepbass is the only missing .. nice comparison BTW 👍 At Maximum volume I'd rather get 2 maxsound plus because of its smoothness .. both JBL and Motion plus Ain't the type for me they both sounds screaming for me
Did you hear that Marshall is coming out with micro speaker? The “Willen”. It’ll have similar dimensions to the Bose and Tribit but with 2 passive radiators. You can also eq the Willen from the Marshall app. It’ll be priced the same as the boss 😒 Also, the Emberton is coming out with a second version. V2 will have TWS and eq Let’s hope Marshall comes out with a Stockwell 3 that has more volume 🤞🏾

I was against the mono speakers after having a few small stereo portable Bluetooth speakers in the past. I recently however picked up the Bose Soundlink Flex and have to say it’s fantastic even though it’s only mono. I did consider the Charge 5 and a few of these others but as I will be doing a lot of travelling I just really liked the form factor of the Bose.
2 tiny speakers playing in the same tiny housing such as these blootooth speakers is heard as mono to anyone lager than a pea not sitting 1 inch from the speaker .. To hear stereo requires the speakers to have seperation in differing areas of the listening area to be separated roughly half the distance from the listener .. Otherwise your gonna hear mono ... I've sold these at flea markets and potential buyers in the real world can not desern mono from stereo with these small speakers and that's a real word fact ! That's why now most manufactured produce mono speakers and have a connect feature to connect two together if they want real stereo that sounds like real stereo.. That's how you hear stereo there has to be actual measurable seperation preferably in a separate enclosure... This is just common seance !! Tweeters are another farce because most people find speakers with cheap tweeters and crossovers to screecy / tinny, because generally these are cheap 5 cent tweeters the manufacturers install because customers think they need them so manufacturers have decided give them what they want regardless of the fact they in most cases actually degrade the sound in these tiny single enclosure portable units ..Smart thing to do is but a speaker on how it sounds to your ears and not in what other people tell you have to have like tweeters and multiple speakers in a tiny box .. Get the speaker that sounds good not the one that has the most drivers or the most tweeters because that's what everyone says you need ..

Indeed a difficult choice. I'm missing some bass on the 2 maxsound plus so probably I'd go with the Charge 5 or Motion Plus. The best of course would be 2 Charge 5 or 2 Motion plus for sound, not so much for portability.

Soundcore Motion Plus sounds best, but you've EQ'd it to sound better. Couldn't you also EQ the Maxsound Plus to sound better? Using the music player app's EQ or bass boost.
I only use eq where the app is designed to work with the speaker and the eq gets embedded. This is because only embedding allows device to device use. also using third party apps means you have a good chance of bricking the speaker or reducing its life due to boosting areas already boosted. this is why 3rd party apps have safe headroom which means loss of volume. i also only use eq where it makes a significant difference to the sound in a good way at least for my ears. own party apps already work within the safe limits of the speaker, mostly.

I'm not into TWS for small speakers weirdly enough. In my experience, they sound more bass light when I use two for some reasons, maybe because it's louder, it highlights the fact they don't go deep enough 🤷♂️ Nice hair BTW 😋
@@alanrossreviews I have no issues using my Motion Booms in TWS, but anything smaller makes the sound bass light and that's not something I want, even Motion+ is not that great in TWS to me. 😝 But hey, larger stereo, louder and better soundstage, I can understand that people still like to use TWS on small speakers 👍

A cousin of my just bought the mifa wildbox on a bargain and is pondering to get another one to pair in stereo for parties with friends for backgroud listning, so we have to consider distances and obstacles and distance in between, do you know if its good for that?? What about the same case with soundcore speakers(boom preferebly) or tribit(xsound mega preferebly). Great review like always.
i dont know about the mifa but in general it is so hit and miss and different people will claim different things. a lot depends on your home and what types of interference may be about.

Soundstage on maxsound plus in TWS is great, but it does lack some deep bass, however, at BBQ's and garden party's I'd rather have nice clear sound and not have bass interfering with the flow of conversation. However, how do they perform in an outdoor environment against each other? I only have my BT speakers for outdoors in the garden or by the pool. BTW, loving the hair implants :-)

yes ive done a pair of pluses way back. are you thinking of pairing two speakers in tws and connecting to one via aux? this will introduce lag. and not all speakers cna be hooked up this way. you can with the plus but there will be lag.

in the modern digital world crossovers have become easier thanks to digital crossovers but yeah, still has to be well implemented which takes time. not sure what else they call put out to make the charge 6 standout. i guess it will be slightly bigger with slightly bigger drivers going slightly deeper in bass and job done? 🤷♂️
Dear Dude, I am using 2 Tribit Maxsound plus in TWS, BUT I realize that despite their precision an balance sound (at a ridiculus price), as you know, it still lack the bass that makes a general listening, e.g. around the house, more ambiance full and enjoyable. SO ! considering a Total price around 300$ USD, what would be you suggestions to get a clear, balance sound (like the Tribit), but with a little more punch to fill the house ? It's possible to fiddle with Maxsound Plus's sound signature with parametric EQ on your phone, but it's impossible to programmatically add soundstage to the single Soundcore... hm...

I become very aware where it is when I'm just walking around it. And so I'm now thinking whether I should exchange it for Soundcore or get another Maxsound... There are also some sound signature issues in mids and a weird resonance at ~130 hz in Xbass mode, but those are (probably) fixable

you Always speak custom equalizer on motion+. I have tribit xsound go, i use poco phone which has custom equalizer for Bluetooth phone, and i use your motion+ equalizer on xsound go. dam xsound for such small size it bad asss. mind it i have mounted this speaker on my motorcycle. i just waiting for version 3 for maxsound plus with Bluetooth 5.3, aptx and 30 watt speakers as said by one of the support team.

Yes, two Maxsound Plus v2 will lock in stereo pairing mode. They call out "left channel" and "right channel" when the second one is powered on.

the overall balance does change especially as you now get more peaks and nulls as the sound waves merge. first again wow 👍👍
@@alanrossreviews I have no issues using my Motion Booms in TWS, but anything smaller makes the sound bass light and that's not something I want, even Motion+ is not that great in TWS to me. 😝
But hey, larger stereo, louder and better soundstage, I can understand that people still like to use TWS on small speakers 👍

hey mate i saw an article about motion boom plus gave me goosebumps a bigger motion boom with Twitters i think it can compete with jbl boomboxes and the new tribit also if you can have ill wait for your take on that l.. 😀
but if its just the boom with tweeters it wont be going any deeper so wont compete with boombox 2 for deep bass. but lets see! 😁

A cousin of my just bought the mifa wildbox on a bargain and is pondering to get another one to pair in stereo for parties with friends for backgroud listning, so we have to consider distances and obstacles and distance in between, do you know if its good for that?? What about the same case with soundcore speakers(boom preferebly) or tribit(xsound mega preferebly). Great review like always.
i dont know about the mifa but in general it is so hit and miss and different people will claim different things. a lot depends on your home and what types of interference may be about.
@@alanrossreviews yeah now u got a point really i tell this by experience, i use a raspberry pi as a mp3 bt dac on 30yr old sharp hifi system and on PC connection was bad, while on phone works really well, weird but yeah. Well thanks anyways.

Soundstage on maxsound plus in TWS is great, but it does lack some deep bass, however, at BBQ's and garden party's I'd rather have nice clear sound and not have bass interfering with the flow of conversation. However, how do they perform in an outdoor environment against each other? I only have my BT speakers for outdoors in the garden or by the pool.
BTW, loving the hair implants :-)
yeah im not sure i would use them outdoors, i think they are too subtle for that. would be looking for something with some energy 😁😁

What about pairing 2 of the Anker Soundcore Motion Plus !! BTW I am here because I am looking for a Nice Bluetooth Speaker with AUX ( Charge 4 has AUX ) for connecting with a DAW on my laptop. I think I have decided to go with the sound core motion plus, thanks to your wonderful detailed reviews of all the speakers that have "AUX" in your little chart ! but I am still considering the Charge 4.
yes ive done a pair of pluses way back. are you thinking of pairing two speakers in tws and connecting to one via aux? this will introduce lag. and not all speakers cna be hooked up this way. you can with the plus but there will be lag.

in the modern digital world crossovers have become easier thanks to digital crossovers but yeah, still has to be well implemented which takes time. not sure what else they call put out to make the charge 6 standout. i guess it will be slightly bigger with slightly bigger drivers going slightly deeper in bass and job done? 🤷♂️

Dear Dude, I am using 2 Tribit Maxsound plus in TWS, BUT I realize that despite their precision an balance sound (at a ridiculus price), as you know, it still lack the bass that makes a general listening, e.g. around the house, more ambiance full and enjoyable. SO ! considering a Total price around 300$ USD, what would be you suggestions to get a clear, balance sound (like the Tribit), but with a little more punch to fill the house ? are you just looking for tws? a pair of motion pluses would be a step-up. cant dismiss the uboom l either. for the money you could go large and get two motion boom pluses

It's possible to fiddle with Maxsound Plus's sound signature with parametric EQ on your phone, but it's impossible to programmatically add soundstage to the single Soundcore... hm...

@@alanrossreviews I just bought one V2 Maxsound Plus, and I think the main thing that bothers me is how "mono" it is unless I literally get my face into it. I become very aware where it is when I'm just walking around it. And so I'm now thinking whether I should exchange it for Soundcore or get another Maxsound...
There are also some sound signature issues in mids and a weird resonance at ~130 hz in Xbass mode, but those are (probably) fixable

To get deeper bass you would have to reduce the mids and highs and kill your volume
Have you tested how far can the soundcores play in sync reliably? Like, can they play in the opposite sides of a room or even in adjacent rooms?

I have 2 MSP. V1 and V2. I have them in TWS at opposite sides of a 400 sqft room and they play perfectly in synch, at least to my ears.

you Always speak custom equalizer on motion+. I have tribit xsound go, i use poco phone which has custom equalizer for Bluetooth phone, and i use your motion+ equalizer on xsound go. dam xsound for such small size it bad asss. mind it i have mounted this speaker on my motorcycle.

Well I think motion plus is much better all alone compared to both JBL and that other speaker.
I think they all have a place, just different prices and different characteristics
only if the tribit can match the bass of the jbl...but sounds decent for its size
outside of an a/b there is enough bass to satisfy. 💪
Why does my $10 kmart bluetooth can tell the difference between the speakers? I would have thought that a junk speaker would of sounded the same.
depends in what part of the frequnecy range the differences are. you are not going to hear bass differences but some mids for sure.
