This video is really helpful but I’m still having the hardest time getting it to self thread. I have watched so many videos but for some reason the thread won’t catch the hook

I have this same machine and it's brand new. I did it just like the video and it worked perfectly and a week later the bobbin is not coming up. The bobbin won't come up and instead the top thread gets tangled up in the bobbin holder and the bobbin jumps out sometimes. Can you please help me out?
Hi! If you turn your stitch length dial, you will see an S to indicate stretch stitches. Those are the "blue" stitch. Page 13 of your owners manual will give you a reference for it. Thanks! -TB
