I'll be honest, i think this may just be my favourite incarnation of Zelda. You can see her actually run her kingdom in the end, and even without a body for the entire game she does everything she can to help. After good ol' character development of course.
Lol the only zelda that is actually a legend about her and isn't just a tale about some guy who rescued her who gets no recognition for it in history 😂
Link:Yo! That was pretty sick, man. Me:Well, you're defeating that beast and you sick of it?!?! Zelda:Said a prince to a damsel😏 Me:That's very mean to him, Zelda!!! Zelda:Sorry...😳
That fight was SO epic. And spirit tracks is the only Zelda game where Zelda really matters: she fights along with you and she's a well-defined character.
blueflare you forgot Wind Waker, where she fights alongside you against Gannondorf with her light arrows. Same with Twilight Princess to a certain extent. she is literally the best video game princess, she does her job and does it well, unlike a certain mushroom princess....
To be honest I probably hadn't played neither of those games when I wrote that comment =P but I knew that Spirit tracks was the exception. Now I have played both, as well as almost every other Zelda game, and I can confirm that, IMO, Spirit tracks is the best ZELDA game, the one where she matters the most. Yes in WW Zelda helps you in the final fight, as well as in Ocarina, TP, etc.; but in ST she is along with you THE WHOLE GAME, you control her and she solves puzzles and fights with you. There are no similar Zelda games.
Princess Lucina you're forgetting yourself... Plus, Spirit Tracks has Zelda actively participating of the whole story, rather than just the final boss.
The Chancellor was a fool, he thought he’d escape the same fate as Byrne just by being loyal from the start. Malladus never had any allies, just pawns.
True, but looking at the sheer brute size of Malladus it's funny to think of a 10 year old Link killing him so easily. Demise was a great boss in terms of gameplay though, he really tested whether you'd actually been paying attention to what the game was teaching you
While it absolutely *is* epic, I don't think it's quite up to scale with some of the crazier final bosses in Zelda. Especially if you're looking at 10 year old Link, the Ganon and Puppet Ganon fights at the end of Windwaker have all the scale of Malladus and then some. The sky is breaking and the great sea is coming down on top of you, and Ganon wants to keep you down there with him. And if we get away from "Toon Link" there's also the battle at the end of Twilight Princess, one of the most insane build ups, culminating in an epic 1v1 sword duel while it storms? Yes, please! Not to mention the pure scariness of Dark Beast Ganon and the epic velocity felt while fighting Ganon on horseback. Twilight Princess takes the cake for me, though I could also see an argument made for OoT or SS for various reasons.
AceofBlades X For how it looked, botw had a horrible boss battle. Don’t get me wrong, i loved it on the whole with the exploring and all, but the boss battle was too easy by the time you get to the end. I wish I “accidentally” went to the castle first to compare, but I went for all the machine things (forgot what they were called) and it’s not quite the same experience if you just replay the game...
Something that i loved about that whole game is you arent just alone. Zelda helps you through the entire journey and in the end, you both give the final blow together. And at the end, you're also both still here. Its a game i will always hold dear to my heart.
I bit slow and forgot to do my own research about the timeline of the game. I don't like zelda games until I tried to play spirit tracks and now I'm hooked. Unfortunately spirit tracks is the last out of the three games other being phantom hourglass and wind waker. I just finished phantom hourglass and I'll be playing Wind waker next
Okay personally, this is one of my FAVORITE battles in Zelda. Sure it's really simple and easy but i adore the split screen where you fight as both Link and Zelda, in synch, along with the music and the colors and visual just makes the entire game feel so deserved. Really, Link and Zelda have such fantastic character development and chemistry in this game, I love everything about it anyway. But I'm biased, I grew up with this game, it was the first Zelda I ever finished.
"He'll be reborn someday." -Anjean, December 7, 2009. All timelines except Downfall/Fallen Hero timeline (or whatever you wanna call it has Link's Awakening, the original Legend of Zelda, etc.) have not had a game in at least 5 years..
It's been over a decade since I've played this game and I don't remember a ton of it, but I will never forget the final boss fight. So much about how the scenes and fights play out is amazing. Whoever decided what songs to play and when to play them, nailed it perfectly. Zelda's Lullaby when she's trying to get her body back, the main theme when Link catches Zelda, the overworld theme during the final form, and of course, the title screen's music, a song you heard every time you booted up the game, finally appearing in the adventure itself as the spell that ultimately turns the tides. This fight gave me maximum levels of immersion in gaming and I'm so grateful for it.
Little detail that I just noticed and that I love, when Link begins forcing with his sword at 9:15, there's a little cymbal crash (I think ?) being added to the melody, just to make it a little more epic-like !
During the part where Maladus says “I will destroy the world in the time I have left” his music sequence gives me goose bumps. Sounds so evil like it used to scare me as a kid. And everything about this game is so good. I’d give it 11/10
I definitely think this Zelda worked the hardest in the final battle, and then she helps to deliver the final blow, and it just makes it so awesome that the two friends work together to drive it deeper
14:30 Link fights menacing enemies throughout the whole game, enemies that even knights won't face yet here you can hear him presumably get his ass handed to him by another knight while training
Still the uncontested best final boss theme and a high contender for the best song in the entire series in any Zelda game there’s nothing that even comes close
and without those stupid mandatory mic sequences, i tell you i dreaded those sequences and they are they i couldn't finish but i love this GAME ITS SO GOOD cant wait for the remake, when they make it hopefully
6:05 Imo, the best final boss theme out of the whole Zelda franchise. It sounds so beautiful and gives you that feeling of: "Aight that's it, your fuckin dead." without having to go all out. Ik they could've made this theme 3x more grander with the hardware they had, but they didn't need to. And that's why I love it so. Sucks they couldn't make the actual boss fight match the scale of the song, but to be fair thats how the whole game played.
Zelda: Hey, Link! I have an idea for an attack that should take out Malladus. Upside is I can go Super Saiyan! Link: Cool! What's the downside? Zelda: You'll have to distract him while I charge it. Link: That's not too ba- Zelda: For five minutes. And, considering that all our lives depend on how well you can use a stylus...Aw, nevermind! I'm sure you can handle it! Link: ...Whatever.
Whatever you say Spirit Tracks Zelda and Spirit Tracks as a whole is the best Zelda game in my opinion. Not only this incarnation of Zelda has the same amount of expressiveness as SS Zelda. Not only does she gain a relationship with Link over the journey, she plays a big role, and is needed to beat the game in the Tower of Spirits. She also gets a whole scene to herself, each with a different outcome on your answer to her question: "what do you want to be after this all is over"
This entire part from beating the Demon Train to the credits is in my opinion the best part in the entire Zelda franchise. Amazing Soundtrack, Story telling in the end and so many different emotions from Byrne's death, the joke with Zelda falling on Link, to the hype music, to the very satisfying kill on Malladus/Cole into the happy ending, together with the single best Zelda incarnation in this franchise. It makes this moment just beautiful and amazing. I absolutely love this part. It also has the cutest moments, Zelda cares about Link when he fell to the ground, Zelda helps Link to defeat Malladus by sticking the sword deeper in his head together and they are holding hands in the end. It's so cute and makes you care about them more than any other Link and Zelda in the franchise.
TWO BEST L.O.Z GAMES ARE PHANTOM HOURGLASS AND SPIRIT TRACKS SIMPLY BECAUSE OF THE MUSIC AND THE EMOTION, THESE GAMES HIT ME HARD AND I ADORE THEM.... :)
Transport Videos Australia out of the 3 timeline splits after oot child adult and death the adult spilt (wind waked phantom hourglass and spirit tracks is by a far my favorite) the controls aren’t bad just takes an hour or two to get used to for me especially after replaying console Zelda’s if I do a marathon
I wonder if most people would have relized that the epic scene in Breath of the Wild in which all the tribes attack Ganon at the same time, weakening it so Link can defeat it, is actually a very inferior copy of this scene, with the Lokomos playing the song with Zelda and Link, to mark Malladus's weak point on it's back. I wouldn't say these are the best games, but they are undeniably underrated, specially their soundtracks...
This is easily one of the best final bosses I’ve EVER SEEN... why? The build up by you having to beat the evil lord that isn’t Ganon having that first phase in having to protect Zelda and the music gets quit with the glowing sound then the SPIRT FLUTE MUSIC AND THEN *BOOOOOOM!* EPIC MUSIC AND AN EPIC FINISHER AWESOME MECHANICS OF YOUR SKILLS AND ENDING IT ALL OFF!... this fight is awesome from the emotion and atmosphere ALONE easily one of the best final bosses in the history of video games!
This is my #1 favorite incarnation of Zelda and not just because of her beauty but also how she contributes herself as the true princess of Hyrule in more ways than one.😎
I look at it differently, he got his body snatched, he's trapped in his own head as malladus is about to be slain, he dies unable to do anything about it.
@WordenProductions1 that's still a mystery in most of the zelda games...but the connection between Zelda and Link in Spirit Tracks is very strong, more than just their roles as "the princess and his hero". You can also feel a romantic atmosphere between the same characters in Skyward Sword, with the difference that Zelda is not a princess and Link isn't recognized as the Hero of Time yet. But they never get married officialy
Eh a remake of Spirit Tracks would be hard. The devs would have to change the Spirit Flute to use buttons since the Switch has no mic. Though I really want a 3D remake of PH and ST, and while I love ST much more than PH, PH will be much better remade in 3D.
@@molduga changing 2d games to 3d is pointless imo these games are built around being 2d Changing them to 3d gives them nothing. 3d games are not inherently better than 2d games. Also prior to ss being remade several head developers said it would be impossible without motion controls. When ss was remade it was stated that perfecting the motion controls took over a year and a half if that was possible surly this can be done.
Oh-whoa- OKAY, NOPE. Okay, screw Chancellor Cole. First, he 'kills' Zelda (separates her spirit from her body, so basically killing her), then steals her body. Then he throws Byrne under the train (pun intended) like a freaking animal just because he used to serve the spirits of good (even though he betrayed them), then LAUGHS as Byrne IS FREAKING DISINTIGRATED?! If I were given to choice to torture Cole for all of eternity, boy would i take that chance. In my opinion, for my top five cruelest video game villians, he takes the cake. Also... was I the only one who kind of grinned madly when Malladus ate Cole? Because after that cutscene with Byrne, that was the highlight of my day.
Arctic's Den I love that part because its sort of a reflection of how Cole treast Bryne. Bryne helps Cole with everything then is used and tossed aside, so its a very satisfying fate for Cole Part of me thinks that Cole is still somewhere in his vessel, and in reality, wanted Malladus's powers, and so thats why his vessel is so weak.
In my furious scribbling to shove the sword in at the end of the fight, I didn't even notice that Zelda runs over and joins Link to shove the sword up the baddie's face. That's so awesome!
This game is sadly underrated. It's one of my favorite Zelda games and this final battle is among the best! The train is very exciting as well. You know, chuggachuggachugga (conroy?!)
I'll be honest, i think this may just be my favourite incarnation of Zelda. You can see her actually run her kingdom in the end, and even without a body for the entire game she does everything she can to help. After good ol' character development of course.

Most of the final fights are.

Cmon Malladus, for a demon king you somehow think it's a good idea to push against someone trying to stab your weak point?
So beautiful D,;
Seriously, Spirit Tracks has like the best story of all the Zelda games.
This game deserves a remaster, along with Phantom Hourglass
Super Underated
This is my #1 favorite incarnation of Zelda and not just because of her beauty but also how she contributes herself as the true princess of Hyrule in more ways than one.😎
Cole's last theme, I could listen to it for hours
This video is making me so nostalgic, I'm so happy right now XD Even if it isn't considered one of the best it will still be one of my favorites.
The worst of all is that we never directly kill Cole. He, like Ghirahim, died when you killed his master.
I look at it differently, he got his body snatched, he's trapped in his own head as malladus is about to be slain, he dies unable to do anything about it.
This game is such an underrated masterpiece
This would have to be my absolute favorite Zelda game ever made. I have to agree it is underrated and if it got a remake omg i would buy it :D
Ues
A switch remake of this game would be lovely
Best. Ending. Ever.
@timebomb281 A shame that your opinion is invalid. It's a great Zelda game, fact.
you nailed the flute part! way to go!
Bryne helps Cole with everything then is used and tossed aside, so its a very satisfying fate for Cole
Part of me thinks that Cole is still somewhere in his vessel, and in reality, wanted Malladus's powers, and so thats why his vessel is so weak.
Why does Byrne remind me of *BUCKY?!* 😭💔
Cole is officially a worse Ganondorf.
Ganon has never gone to those extremities.
In my furious scribbling to shove the sword in at the end of the fight, I didn't even notice that Zelda runs over and joins Link to shove the sword up the baddie's face. That's so awesome!
I feel like this is some of the best music in the series
still respect Byrnes sacrifice to this day
This is the best final boss in any Zelda imo
opinions, i think bellum from phantom hourglass is
You mean bellumbeck
6:46 6:49 Goosebumps.
Every time.
The buildup from emotional to boss is so amazing.
And the theme is so good ❤
Godlike theme.
Brings me back ❤
Byrne never got to live out his redemption!! NOOOOOO! *cries*
My god. You played the flute so perfectly
It sounds perfect to me
This game is sadly underrated. It's one of my favorite Zelda games and this final battle is among the best! The train is very exciting as well. You know, chuggachuggachugga (conroy?!)
honestly the beginning of this video has probably the most fire rendition of zelda's lullaby i have ever heard
Unpopular opinion: out of all of the legend of Zelda’s. spirit tracks has the BEST ost
Shouldn't be unpopular. Malladus beast has easily the best final boss theme. Actually both Malladus beast parts have the best
nah that's a fact
2:40 looks like you're going to the shadow realm, jimbo
The music T^T
+Reaper So good
