My one just snapped. I hope I'll be able to remove it easily. Thanks for the video.

Mine snapped as well, did yours new one hold well ?
Hi, thanks for this video it's a good length and shows all I needed to do (mostly).
Just changed mine as they were an advisory on the last mot, the driver's side was massively corroded with the 2 bushings just crumbling away. Had to get a hammer on the pin to free it from the middle bit.
The passenger side kinda exploded off when I applied pressure with the wrench snapping the pin in half, should this be a concern i.e. something else wrong?
Unfortunately, according to the description, it is difficult to advise anything, we recommend contacting the service.

When snapped just hold the remaining rubber with pliers and put a drill on the bolt. It will melt the rubber and drops out easily. No need to take the wheels off. Torque properly?
Mine snapped. Top is missing. Surely I can just pull the remaining part out of the bottom?
We do not have such information, we recommend that you consult your mechanic.
Is this the proper way? Some friends suggested that the wheels should be holding the weight of the car like on the ground (or on one of those lifts that you drive the car on) while you change it.
Thank you for your comment!
For easier replacement, we recommend replacing when both wheels of the front axle are raised, otherwise, the stabilizer will be skewed, creating a load on the replaced rod.

@Midnight Dreary they say it's bcs when you over tighten it and after the load of the car pushes it more it stresses it beyond spec. the mechanic changed it the way it's shown in the video but i insisted on not using a power tool to tighten it, so he used a hand wrench and there is no problem.
As far as I know for lancer links, which are same principle of a bolt and spacers- you got a measurement for nut to bolt top, as for tightening to spec shen car is on ground, that is for wishbone bushings if you tighten with suspension unweighted and then lowe the car, youre basically going to have the rubber constantly twisted and just have it die much quicker
Hi did u get the answer to ur question?
Mines always knocking over bumps been doing it for 3 years now but not gonna waste cash fixing up such a terrible car, its a bargain basement shitmobile , the plastic interior is ghastly the ride is awful so bad over pot holes, the handling is like a lorry and as for speed , it takes a year to get up to 70mph lol i only paid £600 for mine, it is reliable that is the only good thing about this car but if i was a stronger man the car is made so badly i could punch a hole through the side door as its like 1cm thick steel very poor even Renualt have better build quality lol
