LOVE how Charlie is respectful and did his research on Tim...Alotta interviewers are quick to call Burton wierd and start asking him questions about his childhood...Here, Charlie does that too, but doesn't come off as condescending and is able to segue into relevant questions and topics that focus on Art and Tim's inspiration behind it (and isn't quick to dismiss it as wierd)... Charlie reminds me of all the cool Professors at my University who were traditional in their teaching methods, but respectful of the changing times and ways of thinking...
@@blu3_enjoy I did think he was a very good interviewer. It's a shame about the sexual harassment controversy, which ended his career. But he had a good career prior to the scandals.
I love when he shows his art and everyone love that is winning for all the people feels like an outsider o people who everyone think they are kinda weird so that's awesome , is ok to be different is ok to be weird
I love it when the guy introduces Burton and his movie titles, "Edward scissors hands" Burtons thinking should I correct him 😂 but the guys right Edward has Two sets 😂So Tim got it wrong 😂I love Tim though, theres always a moment when he's quiet where you're thinking is this guy ok? Then he speaks and comes to life like a cartoon character 😂
You know.. Tim Burton is a rather twisted man. Even he says that, now I don’t it’s a bad thing that he’s so twisted I mean his movies are impeccable. Especially, I know it’s not original, but especially Charlie and the chocolate factory is one of my favorite movies of all time. As an adult, I quite enjoy Alice In wonderland. To wrap it up, i have always enjoyed the Tim Burton content, though I’ve always had a certain kind of creep from the man, again it’s not uncomfortable or an icky feeling but there is something that doesn’t sit right with me! Love Tim, thank you anyway
@@ZoeChan-s4j I feel so bad to burst your bubble but Tim speaks openly about his twisted thoughts, his wife, maybe ex wife? Helena something, she also talks about how… strange. Of a man he is. Look it up bruva

16:27 it’s not “Ying and Yang”, there is no “G” on the first word. It is “YIN and Yang”. Minus a couple cool points for Tim Burton. But he’s still plenty cool because he made Nightmare Before Christmas.
I innately understand a lot of where Tim comes from, he’s probably one of the most successful autistic people of all time. His entire body of work is made through the lens of experiencing the world as an autistic person.
He did not direct Nightmare Before Christmas but his the artist creator. Tim Burton is painter/artist too and not just a Director or producer. He sketched out and made Jack and other characters with clay(?).

Six seconds into it and I'm already dying of laughter because of how he butchered "Edward Scissorhands".
You can just feel the intense hatred in Tims cold dead stare when he says the title wrong.
Omg I know lol. He said it like Edward’s Scissors’ Hands. What??! Lol
EDWHUD SCIZZASHAYNDS
Edwards Scissors hands
Same I laughed so hard at that wth.
Ironically Tim Burton seems more "normal" than most people in Hollywood!
I love how much he talks about the subconscious. He's basically a surrealist when you think about it.
Johnny Depp and Tim Burton are so in synch. Two geniuses at work.
soulmates you can have it in your friends to

who is this interviewing tim burton?
@@1970avalles Charlie Rose

Honestly though I really like this interviewer. He asks good questions.
charlie rose is great, and its nice that he interviewed so many people

He's feeling good about what he has done. Timeless.
His passion makes it an art, if no passion generic film.
Very interesting interview ,Tim burton's such a genius
My dad always said “Edward’s Sissor’s Hands” and “Jurastic (Drastic) Park,” the latter I think he thought was the actual movie title.
An icon and a genius...
I love him!

edward scissorshands lmao

I wish he would make his version of 'Something Wicked this way Comes' I think he would do a great job!

He's a genius.
He said “surreal” more times in this interview than I’ve said it in my 52 years of living 😂😂😂
At least not abusing the word like like like
I like how he said that nothing is normal. Which is true. what is normal?
I grew up watching super heroes and I grew up to be one and now I am a Titan!
Charlie Rose is on the complete other end of the intellectual/creative spectrum than Tim Burton. It's kinda like an earthworm interviewing Tom Waits.
Tom Waits is probably the Tim Burton of music industry
Tim Burton is a good creator that’s all mom is my favorite movie
Best Batman ever
Great interview, but the thumbnail is not indicative of the content of the video. Why use an image of an older Burton to represent a 1999 interview?
