So true! The most important thing when you do your videos is you're enjoy doing it . The viewers and subscribers are right there waiting for your videos.
This has been more helpful than most videos being like “do this specific thing.” I like the advice of just post and be open to failure. I often spend too much time looking at analytics and figuring out what I should do next, instead of just doing it and seeing how it goes. I want to get in the habit of just recording and posting instead of panicking 😅
The only method is to continue creating in your niche constantly. There is vast amount of channels that produce terrible content, but have a huge following. In addition, if you are mixed up within the period when Social Platforms are in a heated competition like 2020-2022, this is where many channels started popping like fungus during heavy rain
Exactly - Stick to your niche as you are growing initially! Don't get hung up by other channels' content quality or subs or views outside your own niche. Again, its all noise.
Thank you- I'm 25 videos short of 100 because all I have been doing is UA-cam shorts... One thing that happened is I am a LOT more comfortable in front of the camera. To me, that is a success 🎉 and also to stop caring what people think - which for me IS EVERYTHING
first advice I learned was you won't see substantial growth until the 1st 100 videos. Make 100 videos and improve each time. Now at 120 videos and really starting to grow now!
I’m not a very confident in-front-of-camera kinda person, and I worry about failure, but after hearing this, I feel like I should just let go of this nervousness, and for anyone similar to this, or like this, just know we all got each other’s backs and that with each other’s support, we can achieve anything! 💯👍🏼
I was someone who just sat and thought about uploading a video, it took me YEARS to upload my first video, I recently started uploading still not sure what exactly I am doing , but I AM DOING IT. AND I LOVE IT.
Point number 3 really hit home for me, I can spend endless amounts of time scrolling through other UA-cam channels (which isn't a bad thing if done in moderation), but it takes time away that I could use to create more content. Many thanks for this video, definitely encouraging.
Fantastic advice! Too many people focus on the "I want views" "I want to get monetised and make money" side of things and expect miracles overnight. The important thing is falling in love with the process of content creation or... you burn out. Definitely need to gear myself more towards understanding the analytics of my content, which will be my aim over the next few months! Thanks for the brilliant video! ❤
Yes, it true.. That's the right word, falling in love. because if your truly in love you don't push so hard, you got to take it slow in order for you to succeed.
There's a lot of videos out there, but this one felt the most real to me in a long time. You nailed what it feels like as a NewTuber and this is really helpful motivation to keep going. 🤘
This is the best video I've ever seen on UA-cam growth In this he is showing reality not tips or tricks etc... A lot of creators need this video I hope they'll get it. Thanks bro.
Man this is such a great video! It really hit home and drove the point of doing what you love and not giving up. So far I've got 17 subscribers and I've put out 13 videos and I'm in the process of releasing two or three more. I'm trying to get to the point of putting out two or three videos a week. Again, thank you for this video, I love TubeBuddy, and your videos in particular are always inspiring and awesome to watch.
I have finally decided to go all out and start uploading to work for my childhood dream of being a youtuber, and all I think about is the next video and what I can do to edit the video and make it more entertaining. I uploaded my first video yesterday and I've got one ready for today and I'm already thinking of what video I can do next and I'm loving the process. I look at the content I enjoy and go back to drawing board and try to make the next video better. how I can improve my commentary, my editing, and my retention. What thumbnail and title will people be interested that doesn't mislead the video I've spent ages on just for views. I want the viewers going out there way to watch my video to want to come back not think I'm another channel that misleads and lies for views.
There is a problem that mr beast don't face. 1. Live in advanced country. 2. Have a good communication with parent. 3. Have friends who support him. He is working hard. But you cannot deny that he is also super lucky.
Thank you for the very inspiring video and the true words! 😃👍 I have now published 486 video and sometimes still feel like a beginner. My first videos were really bad in quality - but are partly more successful like my new high quality videos. You really can't be too blocked by your own quality expectations.
Dont think that its hard. Hope one day youll get what you wanted. Be happy on what youre doing :) as long as you enjoy what youre doin then money will follow
"Remember why you started". I think I forgot this or got distracted by the comments of the people around me. Thank you so much. This video was really helpful. Now I know what I need to do.
I've been critical with these types of channels before but this is REALLY Good advice and powerful to hear...please do these types of videos a bit more often
I like what you said about "Failing early and failing often." I have to learn how to embrace failure in order to be successful! Thanks for all the invaluable takeaways! ❤
As a small creator, I think the BIG thing I’ve realized is that you have to do what you love. I think when you try to replicate what someone else is doing you end up believing that you’ll never match up to bigger creators. I used to be a gaming channel, that centered around playing games with friends. But then life gets in the way of everyone so stoped me from making that content. So I switched to playing horror games, while it was fun, the process became boring. I unlisted most of those videos because of how unhappy I was. Now I’m talking about things I enjoy to talk about
I am literally days away from doing my very first video for the brand that I finally found a platform for so I can now begin launching my Work Hard Play Hard UA-cam channel proper. Anyone got some advice for this older dude, I would greatly appreciate it. Cheers in massive success to you all! ✌️👊
Bro thank you for making this video! All the good advise you're giving and positive reinforcement you share has already been playing in my head. But of course all the negative talk is there also. And sometimes, as you mention, we can let the negative win. All I keep thinking is keep making videos, try your best to live out to your standards, inspirations and aspirations because it's a content based platform, so... make content! And one day when that one video connects with thousands or millions of people they can go into your channel and enjoy all the other content you've shared, created and/or placed out there for the world to see. To everyone going on this journey, best of luck and keep your dreams alive!
I heard a great quote once at a sales conference. Ready, Fire, Aim. Think about it. If you wait to your 'aim' is spot on all the time, you likely won't even get off the ground. Just get started and refine it later.
3:00 i'm kinda happy to hear this because my last video on the channel was a test, and yeah, it did fail... HARD. however the previous one that i thought i would failed horribly also... actually did good, not amazing, but for something you expect to be a failure because it is experimental, gives me insight
i have over 140,000 subscribers & UA-cam was my full time job since 2010, and NOW im about to become homeless, all my time, effort, blood , sweat and tears down the drain all for nothing, all due to youtube changing up the website way to many times, youtube used to send out numerous notifications a day now they only send out 3 a day, plus the algorithm is messed up as well, half my subs dont even get my videos anymore, its sad that this was my full time job now ill be homeless living in a tent in a couple of weeks! Unreal! as much as i love my subs and fans, it goes to show you that it doesn't matter how many subs you have in 2024!
I'm in the middle of making my next video and realize that I hate how I'm making it. Scrapping and starting from the beginning because I know the current version won't get the message across well. I expect low viewership at my stage but I am all about the process. Each video gets me one step closer to my goal.
This video offers invaluable insights into implementing MrBeast's advice for small channels. MrBeast's success on UA-cam is undeniable, and your dedication to applying his strategies and documenting your progress is commendable. As a small UA-camr myself, I greatly appreciate your willingness to share your experience and lessons learned. I'm eager to watch and learn from your journey. Subscribed!
Thank you for this advice!! I am at 49 videos right now, and they are all cringeworthy, mainly because it’s myself and nobody knows who I am yet. I plan on doing exotic challenges once I can afford them and the right equipment.
@@TubeBuddy Just over a year but really making a go of it since December 2022. Trying to convert what we’ve learned about shorts and applying it to long form to help our watch time and build on the growing support in our content.
I'd say the first question that comes to mind is, can the first 100 videos even be made from your content idea? In my case, the first five build videos would be something no one has ever seen before, but the next 95 are gonna look like everyone else's in my genre. This has gotten me thinking and has really put my creative side to the test. My takeaway here is I'm not as creative as I thought I was. At least not so much beyond my first five or so ideas.
Are we talking shorts or long content videos? Because a lot of us can or have (I have) hit the 100 video mark just with shorts. Otherwise, I got 27 long-form videos and it's been about a year since I started posting.
We’re a small channel started by my wife and me, focused on sharing insights from Leadership and Health experts. We’re deeply grateful for our 31 amazing subscribers who support our dream. I should have seen this earlier. I’m on 1 video so far and was so scared of posting the second cause how bad I thought my voice sounded. Thanks for clearing that up and a lot more.
Awesome video. I have made 16 full length videos over the last 3 months. Currently at 330 subs and almost 3000 watch hours. I totally hear you about “just create”, make something. I personally just love creating, telling a story and let others just escape with me. Plus I love to mentor too. Keep the vids coming!
This works! I planned and planned and avoided clicking submit. Till one day I did. I nearly threw up I was so nervous. But that faded when the first likes trickled in. And within this time period I gained 90k channel views and 409 subs so far. So I can attest to this and say yes press record. Upload and you’ll be amazed how at the end it was just noise. 👍 great video!
Well, I started from 0 ..like anyone else , right :D and gained bit over 1000 subs in 4 month. Bigger problem is for me to get 4000 watch hours since most of those subs came from shorts. ..and time from shorts doesn't count for monetization. so ..cross fingers for me :D

I didn't get many views on my first video and basically gave up right there and then. Just recently I decided to try again. Mostly doing shorts of our everyday life. It is not great but we are learning as we go. And some days we don't get any views at all.
Great advice and well presented. Thank you. Craving Canada is basically a food review and vlog channel. I’ve not uploaded in a bit for personal reasons but plan to get back to it.
I'm pretty sure I've made 100 or more videos over the course of six years I simply deleted some of them hence my account currently reads 50, it might read 40 next month as I tend to analyze the quality of my videos it could be weeks and or months later I'll study the video and realize I don't like one of them and private the video, aside from this my art style changed hence I didn't want to confuse anyone via leaving a bunch of my old videos up on the channel should I leave them up? UA-cam is tough not gonna lie but hanging in there ☮️❤️
I've been posting videos since 2017. While I have over 3.66K Subscribers, some of the content doesn't get as many views. I don't care what my viewers think, I'm staying true to myself!
I counted the dislike number on my video today and start thinking about giving up everything 😢. Then I saw this video and you said remember why you start your channel. This sentence means a lot for me. Just a great content I ever watched. Thank you!

Inspiring video, thank you 👏
I counted the dislike number on my video today and start thinking about giving up everything 😢. Then I saw this video and you said remember why you start your channel. This sentence means a lot for me. Just a great content I ever watched. Thank you!
Don't worry
Dislikes mean nothing
What a great message - thank you!
A very helpful video for us who have new channels and are struggling. I started my channel two months ago and I only have 66 subs

Thank you for this video! It was what I needed to hear.
