I have done BOM quilts in face to face classes which were enjoyable. Having each class clearly presented here is very helpful . Thank you for doing it.
My local quilt shop started this block of the month in March instead of January. My goal is to stay on pace with my local shop and not fall behind during my first block of the month project! One advantage I have found is getting everyone's feed back from doing them a couple months earlier. Now I have found your channel and will be watching the video almost as prep homework before the next class!
Do you have any suggestions for sizing up the pieces so we have a little wiggle room to trim? I am afraid to run out of fabric but I also am not the best quilter and there seems to be no room for error when using the 3/8th 5/8th 7/8th measurements
Hi Frankie! Great question! 3/8, 5/8, and 7/8 cutting/sewing can be tricky, and there's lots of things you can do to help with accuracy. Here's a few things I do personally to help with accuracy. I completely read the directions and make notes before cutting any fabric. I press and starch before cutting, and press and starch as I piece. (Your iron should be your best friend.) I have tested my 1/4" seam several times, and tend to sew at a scant 1/4" seam. And lastly, fresh rotary blade, fresh machine needle and quality thread does make a difference. One more thing - don't beat yourself up if you make a mistake; using a seam ripper is part of the process. And if you need extra fabric contact the store you purchased your kit through. (Or call Adirondacks Quilts - we ship.) Good luck and thanks for watching!!!

Thank you for a great presentation. I appreciate the visual.
Thank you for dropping by!
is very helpful 👌
Your presentation & Instructions are so much better than the UA-cam video by the quilt designers.
Wow, thank you!
So glad you're demonstrating this BOM! Currently working on it through local quilt shop. THANK YOU, I sincerely appreciate it!
I'm glad you're enjoying it!
