The feeling of saving a plant is delightful bit of dopamine
rescuing plants from the clearance rack is one of my weirder hobbies
Mine, too...but-be careful bringing them around your other, healthy plants...they typically have issues that may harm your other plants.
@@jenniferwelsh4017 Oh yeah, definitely quarantine them first.
At one point my Calathea Musaica was nothing but a pot of barren soil and few dried stalks. I started watering the empty pot, because i hoped that the tuber-like roots were not dead yet, and after 3 Months or so i saw the first green shoots again! Its incredible ☺
Speaking of aroids...
The first time I tried to compost pothos, I gained dozens of pothos instead. Though great I am still overrun with those cuttings. The best way to compost their cuttings is putting them into opaque bags that will not let light in at all.
That's a bit hilarious
I have industrial compost in my area via trash service, so my plant trash goes there, I only put veg trash into my personal compost. Iirc people can pick up processed compost from the city sometimes, but not sure if that's from that or another program. Guessing that's not usual in most cities.
We just love playing God with these plants, bringing them to brink of death and then back to life, some sort of weird unintended abusive relationship for the poor plants 😂😂😂
thank you. literally having someone stay at one of my condo's and just did a plant check and few of them look neglected. hoping I can save them after watching this video!
"turbo rot"
“Pretty much every plant in my collection is always fighting for its life” 😂😂😂
Your garden looks amazing! I have the exact same raised garden bed and I can attest that they are super nice and my garden did AMAZING this summer!! Would definitely recommend them! Thanks for "saving" and sharing how to save a plant that most people would have just thrown out!
2:46 I'm a root trimming fiend-any time I can see their "bum", I give them a snip 😅 6:32 Great, 1 out of 3 free plant survivors is better than none😉 Do you just reuse the dead plants growing medium, or is there a cleansing process of sorts? 7:59 Have you seen your grow closet?! Chin up pal, unless I missed something cataclysmic, you've got some seriously stunning plants in your collection, lol 😂 Now I gotta double check to make sure I didn't miss anything, haha!
No nutrients reached up the stem.
I try also to save my dying plants
Impressive 👀 garden beds.
