There was just something about this level that fascinated and scared me as a kid. I'm getting a bunch of nostalgia just watching that boss fight. That drill is just so terrifyingly designed...

Nostalgia hits so hard. I miss being a kid and playing Skylanders all day like an innocent child. Skylanders will always be my biggest thing, I love this franchise no matter what.

I sincerely feel bad for Drill X! You know, I was thinking that maybe he didn't really want to find Arkus or even enslave those Molekins, maybe it was Kaos who forced him to do it! Yeah! Because in a cutscene he talked about stealing a drill bot, and that was basically what he did! And we have to remember that Kaos could be a great blackmailer sometimes, so maybe Kaos has blackmailed Drill X in order to find the city of Arkus! And maybe Drill X refused at first, but then Kaos threatened him to dismantle him, so Drill X had no choice but to accept because he obviously didn't want to be dismantled! And as you can see, he accept his defeat when we beat him, while a real villain would never accept his defeat so easily, but swear to come back and taking revenge! Drill X didn't swear to take revenge, he simply said that he was feeling defeat and his systems were shutting down, so this means that he was not a villain at all! Poor Drill X! Goddamn Kaos! Blackmailing a poor innocent drill bot, I'll never forgive him for this! So, stand up for Drill X, he was just a victim, he didn't want to hurt anyone, it's all Kaos' fault!🥺

That is not how it went at all, he was a villain and was helping kaos on his own account.
The music is the coolest part of this whole operation. Little bit of drill x's theme in there as well
I feel like I was the only one who was scared off drill x like so scared I cried and ran into my room and my dad had to finish the boss fight for me
I was scared of him too but I built up the courage to do the Battle.

turns out there’s a story scroll in kaos’ kastle that speaks about drill-x stealing some of the valuables from his work for himself, so i think saying drill-x was programmed is a bit far fetched
These boss levels were masterfully designed. The fact that the developers were able to cram this amount of effort into these boss fights in a kid’s game is still incredible nearly 10 years later.

Memories. Defeating Drill-X was the best. My Mom bought this game for me as a Christmas present. I was 9 at the time. Now, I'm headed into my second year of college. I still have all of the Skylanders. If I have kids in the future...they'll definitely get introduced to this game.

this is so nostalgic man, i just loved skylanders so much. In fact i love it so much that i want to buy a new ps3 and skylanders giant just to play this level

You should try it. I for example am recollecting Skylanders and the games to replay them myself, since years ago I gave them all away to younger family. It is so much cheaper now than back in the day, which makes the collection grow substantially faster.
Even the games themselves are cheaper than the original prices for the Skylanders figures themselves!
P.S. The games are just as fun as they were back then, and the music just as good ;)

Listen to the backround music. Disney infinity stole the legendary music and put it into the Spider man play set in 2.0. I cant remember which level they put it into in disney infinity, But they sure did it. I recognise the music. How dare they.

Thanks. I'm hoping to have a Swap Force walkthrough before Trap Team comes out, but I won't be playing on Nightmare like this game. I try to show off the different characters that are introduced in the game while collecting everything and having a no-death run of the level, but it is difficult to play as some of them and others are killed in a single hit. Still working on the last few levels...

Yes, the last two should be the only difficult ones left. The extra levels revamp from the first game should be really quick after that.

I always thought drill-x was like really big and you couldn't see his legs. but in reality he has small little feet and is small

Smart choice bringing in Hot Head, he does well against Drill X when fully upgraded. It’s interesting to hear that Zook is Jamaican. Since Kaos’ minions “stole” Drill-X, where do you suppose he came from? Oh my swirls, Sandy is Komasan from Yo-Kai Watch.

I love Drill X's singing especially how menacing it sounds.

Oh yeah the drill x I love this boss it’s really tough laser coming to you his drill makes fire drill and splits off drill and not gonna lie his song it’s amazing
Playing this level as a kid always fascinated me but also kinda creeped me out. It’s still one of my favorite levels and parts of Giants but I’ve always hated the background music during this level for some reason. Sounded too haunting and it still does
In hindsight, that winged sapphire did have an arrow pointing towards it and they only used that arrow to point at ledges you could go down in the level.

I have one question: **WHY THE HECK WOULD YOU UPGRADE BASHES ROLL AND NOT HIS TAIL!?!??** Also goddang the nostalgia!!! My favorite level and favorite music in all of Giants! Too bad I can’t play the game anymore and haven’t been able to because my original disk for Xbox 360 got scratched beyond repair because I played the game so much and I had to sell my original 360… Planning on buying a new one in year though, along with a new Giants disk!

I think to Beat Drill X super quick is use Hot Head and only use his Hot Rod attack. Note: I played the Wii version so it might be different for other game systems.

I think thr reason people were scared of drill x is because of the sense of impending doom. The brain thinks of drill x as "how the fuq do i fight that" and tries to deter you from fighting drill x because the drill does look scary
