oh believe me it bugs me as well!! I'm also from a Slavic country so the inaccuracy annoys me too. I was debating whether to stay faithful to the show/book's version (the linguistically incorrect one) or stick with the russian feminine and masculine suffixes. leigh bardugo based ravka on 19. century Russia, but didn't follow the surname spelling rules for some reason. so for the average viewer it might have been confusing to see changed surnames out of the blue. tbh I often use them interchangeably both in my head and when writing it down and I guess this time around i wrote down the show version jssjjsjdjd it makes me really happy to see the correct forms used in fanon though!! the details darklinas pay attention to🤌
