I found Tim Kennedy years ago on Joe Rogan, and the guy is never really sat exactly balanced with me. most of the guys that I know that have a fraction of Tim's experience aren't so flamboyant, declassified, well adjusted and successful. actually, some of them don't even have homes because they can't hold a normal conversation with a co-worker. let alone, the Fear Factor guy and millions of adoring podcast subscribers.
The reason I watch Sean's show is because he's the opposite - he punctuates conversations with more question marks than he does exclamation points.
When you've seen things, you've seen things- and I'm not doubting that Tim has seen his share.
He is a decorated hero, and I respect and honor him for his service, his dedication to his family, his neighbors and his country, and I respect him was another human being who knows what it's like to know "things" ultimately and intimately.
With all that said - this anecdotal evidence of his "supreme warrior status" doesn't compute. 30 years ago I scored high enough on the ASVAB to be accused of cheating - which would be absolutely impossible for high school kid before the internet. beyond just offended, my defiant attitude in the subsequent pissing contest between myself and my school guidance counselor tagging up with the Air Force recruiter.
When I scored higher the second time by a marginal difference, the consequences of my rebellion catalyzed by my desire for gratification might as well have resulted in me going to nerd School. I still don't have any tattoos, so it's obvious that I wasn't special forces or anything like that.
Thankfully there isn't a single picture of me in the desert with a buddy of mine before he died, or trying to celebrate some life accomplishment that my wife went through while I was hunkered down in some abandoned building across the world in a viper's nest. So...
In the end, if I'm wrong, I apologize. If I'm right, I apologize again.
I'm not trying to give a judgment of the man, I'm offering my opinion on the perpetuating narrative.
