You're in my daily prayers, Fr. Anthony. I'm so happy to see you back celebrating mass not knowing that you're still suffering from chronic illness. I will pray more for you. God bless.
Dear Father Anthony, thank you so much for sharing your personal experiences of Chronic Illnesses with me and with all of us. Just listening to you and how concerned you are about how much pain we endure day-by-day helps me in so many ways and the most important way that it helps me is that I don't feel so alone in my suffering. You are a very special and wonderful Marian Priest with a great big Heart, so Pure with Love for us. All of Heaven are shining their faces on you today and every day. Peace of Christ be always with you.

Fr. Anthony, my heartfelt gratitude for the excellent and well-presented topic: How to Pray with a Chronic Illness. Thanks for the kindhearted testimony you share of your own chronic illnesses, so extremely inspiring and giving much hope on how to live well. It’s very edifying that helps one faces life more accepting despite it’s challenges. Prayers and full resignation to God’s will is the greatest consolation we can humbly and lovingly offer. Also, thanks for letting us know of the different holy people and Saints who suffered in the most extraordinary way with joy and gladness that glorify God. We must all pray that we can have the strength, faith, hope and courage to do the best we can to imitate them. Thanks be to God for what we have now.
Many thanks for your down to earth presentation. I have multiple chronic illnesses. The major one is chronic lymphatic leukemia. I’ll soon get therapy. I identified with the chronic gastritis. I’ve had 7 GI doctors who still can’t cure me with meds. I’ll look into your zinc thing. I’m in pain every day, and don’t notice it. I offer up the pain for atonement for the sins of my youth. May God bless you Fr Anthony
Thank you, Fr. Anthony. I have been suffering with chronic illnesses for many years. Everything you said is true and very helpful, especially the part about acceptance and living with the illness. I have felt guilty for years because I can’t pray as much as I feel I should. Thank you for explaining that I don’t have to feel guilty, and how to pray the best I can. God bless you and thank you for your ministry.
Thank you so much Fr. I came across this sermon about chronic illness and I needed to hear this. I’ve been in chronic illness since birth with 3 different congenital illnesses and abnormalities and I’m now 76. I’m in daily pain and sometimes I feel that I fall short of what I should be doing prayer wise. I’m also a person who looks healthy and I’ve always looked far younger than I am. Even my doctor doesn’t understand how ill I am because I don’t look sick. It’s because the Lord strengthens me and puts a smile on my face. Thank you Fr Anthony, for these wise words from someone who truly understands chronic illness and pain. I’ll mention you in my prayers.
Thank you, Fr. Anthony, for a very informative talk on praying with chronic illness & your very moving testimony. Have been praying for you because of your chronic illnesses which you have mentioned before. May God bless & strengthen you in your ministry in spite of your chronic illnesses. God bless the Marians.

Thank you Father for sharing your story with us. I really needed to hear it. I was having a bad day with chronic neck & head pain. To the point where I can’t function without medication. I’m stubborn & don’t like taking anything. You helped me realize it’s ok to take pain relief medication & God can work through Dr’s to prescribe it. This is a pain from an automobile accident that will never go away.& requires a pain management Dr. I can now embrace the pain & offer it up for poor souls.
Dear father Anthony I have been suffering for 30 years with M. S and other problems. And so I know what you're talking about. And I want to say this was a very amazing video. It really uplifted me because I am greatly struggling with prayer right now. As my illness has advanced. I. You have no idea how many souls you and my husband are saving throughout this debilitating disease and I can't thank you enough. You two are my heroes! God bless you! ❤
Father Anthony, you and I share a similar health history; I thank God, that you gave this talk today because I have found it hard to pray as my pain has increased to the point that it is hard to concentrate. Please Pray for a cure for Lyme Disease 🙏
Thank you Fr. Anthony for shining light to the fact that many chronic diseases are invisible. You can't tell from someones appearance if he/she is actually healthy or battling with some health problems. There's no addison's disease tag on my forehead. Fr. Chris, thank you for having Fr Anthony explain chronic pain very well said. I’ve been with chronic pain since my husband passed away when I was 40 years old and now I am 74 yrs As time pass, it gets worst the pain it could be a crisis of a month, and then it stops again it come whenever. I’ve learned a lot from father Anthony reasons of why, and how to face it, and pray to the Lord and I give it up to the souls of purgatory which I’ve learned to do because eventually once they are in heaven, they pray for us here. 🙏⛪️ God bless you, father Anthony may your pain not be so strong that you can carry the cross with the Lords help bless you and please make more homily you have the gift🙏⛪️
Thank you Fr Anthony. I have been involved in a vehicle accident and suffered concussion. It's almost a year now since the accident and still experiencing vestibular symptoms. I offer all my pain and suffering to God 🙏 Thanks for your talk, it's encouraging and enlightening ❤
Thank you Father Anthony for your very personal testimony and compassionate and specific explanation of the phases and stages of chronic illness and how they affect us holistically. Having watched you on live stream and personally attended your mass celebrations at the National Shrine, I can only think of one word that describes you:TROOPER. Any One of your diagnoses would give a weaker person an excuse to call it quits, pack it in and file for a disability benefit. You on the other hand work long hours, exude lots of joy, and bring us to our Lord. My heart felt gratitude goes to you. May God bless you and may you always keep such a generous attitude toward your chronic conditions.
I was watching that live streaming Mass in 2020 and witnessed you collapsing. Fr Kaz took over when you were taken away … You are blessed Fr Anthony to be standing before us today … God bless you more . We continue to pray for your good health
How amazing it is to have this video pop up after praying to God today to let me give my worries and anxiety to Him as I am not able to carry this burden alone of my chronic diseases. Thank you for sharing this with us Father. Thank for answering my cry Lord. Amen. 🙏
Thank you for sharing your personal condition Fr. Anthony , I’m here listening , your talk , and experience , it’s me one like you , always pray ,and I’m very serious to learn a prayer 🙏🙏🙏💖💖💖 God bless and protect us ,..
It's good to see you, Father. Every now and then, my family wonders how you're doing and pray for you. Thank you for being so open and vulnerable to help others with their pain and suffering. I know it's a great gift!
Father Anthony you are a blessing from God to speak about chronic illness. People have a tendency to brush off how ones feel with e.g., Diabetes which is an awful and a pretty much nasty disease. Whenever I am asked about my well being my reply is always FINE. And that’s what people want to hear and it’s the best answer to give them and push them far away. Diabetes cuts all activities away from you 😔 God bless you Father Anthony I will remember you in my recitation of the Rosary. Please when you feel those pains during the night repetitive Prayers to the Sacred Cross of Jesus are very powerful.
May almighty God accept our suffering prayers as incence offered for the conversion of souls that many will be drawn to loving him. What a mess chronic illness is.
Thank you Father. I am a chronic ill patient for more than 30 Years now. Growing to be united with Jesus during my illness has given me a profound joy I would never have otherwise. For me, my fiat in Gods Divine Will and providence is my 'chronic illness ministry', quiet and hidden in my little corner of the world, my 'Heaven on earth'. Thank you Father for your shining light on a lot of hidden souls that encouraged me. May God bless you for your kind words!
Father Anthony, Thank you. I have many chronic illnesses and there is no doctor that believes me, because they can't find out why. I even been injured by doctors. I don't trust anyone from the medical field. I try to tell them why I have these problems. They won't listen or even believe me. My family don't even believe me. They all think I am making this up. All I do is pray and cry. Most of the time I have a very hard time praying. I also suffer from mental, psychological illness. All i have and trust is Jesus. He helps me get thru each day.💔😢😭
@@kimberlystankiewicz7961 I shall pray for you Kimberly; I have suffered at the hands of doctors for years. Thanks to one overprescribing neurotoxic medications I am now a quadriplegic
@@kimberlystankiewicz7961 💕🙏Do not give up. May the Holy Spirit guide you to the best doctors, a doctor who has a passion for finding the root cause of a patient's illness. I had to go through five Neurologists and 10 years before they figured out that my seizures were the secondary effect of a Neurological Disorder. Also, my young son suffered for 13 from stomach issues before he was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. Currently, We are both under treatment and doing better, thank God. God bless you and your loved ones 🙏💕
Thank you Fr. Anthony. I really identified with your talk. We have some of the same symptoms and some I don't know what they mean. Trying to get things diagnosed and the right kind of remedy is often difficult. Some of your solutions I came upon through the grace of God. Most people do not understand, not even my family.
Thank you Father I wish my daughter could figure out what’s the matter with her. She also has gluten sensitivity, but she constantly gets sick throwing up and diarrhea. She has an autoimmune and she s completely bald . She has a two and a four-year-old she’s a single mama. The kids also get sick a lot too and every time they’re sick and she gets it but it takes her a long time to recover. Praying for miracle in this season of her life 🥲🥲🥲Probably leaking gut she was so healthy as a child we don’t know what when wrong it started in her 30’s it’s so difficult because she does not live in our state . But we go there every 3month to visit 🙏🏼
Fr. Anthony, thank you for your exceptional talk and for sharing your personal testimony. My heart goes out to you that you have to struggle with daily chronic pain, I thought I had it bad. I can't believe we share some of the same chronic pains. Your resilience and vulnerability shine through in your amazing life story, and I feel inspired. We will pray for you more vigorously. FR. Anthony, while listening to your talk I felt like you were talking to me😂 Unfortunately, about 15 years ago my doctors had to put me out on Disability for physical illness. It was very hard for me to stop working, I cried for almost a year .😔 Me too, Fr. Anthony, it break my heart when my own family tells me I look good because I am thin. They do not realize that occasionally I lose too much weigh due to an intestinal illness. Once a year when I get hospitalized I think they realize I am not good as as I look.😩 I am a little confused because I have been sick for so long that I gave up PRAYING for healing now, I just HOPE for healing. 🙏💕 I do offer up my pain and accept God’s will for me. Yes, I do take a few medications that keep me going, thank God. Even though I gave up praying for myself I have a young son who unfortunately has inheited some of my physical illnesses and I pray for him every second of my life for miraculous healing. I trust that our Holy Trinity will have mercy on him one day. I will never give up for him🙏💕 God bless you, your loved ones, all Marian priests, brothers, and all the MIC Community🙏💕
As the recipient of many chronic illnesses (I'm the poster child for unseen illness lol) I can edify all with *your* chronic illnesses! One of the most powerful ways to work through the problems is to thank God for the suffering and offer it up to Jesus on the cross - He has suffered every illness and has been tortured for every complaint we have - tell Him how we appreciate His sufferings through the torment of His Cross 😢😢😢
Father Anthony this was just what I needed at the time I needed it. Thank-you for your exhaustive explanation and for the humility to share your personal experience. No matter how long I live I truly believe if we offer these sufferings in our daily offering United with Christ and Heaven they become God’s will for us, these little sufferings, as Jesus refers to them in the Diary of Saint Faustina. When there are so many and they last for decades they do not seem little at all and show heroic virtue saving souls in this manner, not by doing much but by targeting and offering each one, each suffering, each breathe and pain. Also I had no idea about what has been going on with you since literally the time you ‘took the cloth’ (priesthood, as an MIC came to Stockbridge) and before, as you experienced some of these from childhood. Jesus has literally ordained you to a suffering priesthood. You have kept these quiet until it was time to enlighten and strengthen others. Thank-you. From the bottom of my heart. And I pray for you.
Fr Anthony what a beautiful talk it taught me soo much since I live with horrible chronic multiple illnesses and pain I will pray for you with all u go thru I have half of those that u mentioned and others
As a Chronic Illness survivor I can begin a routine prayer life , maintain it a little while and then you have those mornings lets say when you wake with exacerbated symptoms of various kinds and your routine is thrown off - or you have insomnia and your routine is out the window pretty quick with that one.... And the saints always say that routine in your prayer life is key. But over the years I have learned to stop beating myself up about it and when the routine is jammed up - I just start looking at a new routine. The blessing I have received from a life long chronic illness (various ones combined) is a will to endure and a will to find a way - if I can't do it the normal way I will find some other way if possible to do the thing I need to. Thank God.
Man, I feel this. I have G-HSD, which is a hypermobile / connective tissue disorder, PCOS, and anemia. I have ADHD too, which people don't really see as a chronic illness, but I think it is because it causes chronic burnout and emotional dysregulation that is hard to work with. My G-HSD used to be really bad in my back to the point I couldn't get up, and the pain made it hard to breathe. But Jesus healed me of the severe pain in my back. 💖 I still have pain since it affects all joints, including vertebrae in my back. I have subluxations, which are basically partial dislocations of joints. It can get very painful but nowhere near as bad as my back used to be. I am so grateful 💖💖💖
Thank you Lord fir bring us Fr. Anthony. We believed that we were alone in this and were poor and bad in adoring You. You understand our minds and know our hearts in this struggle.
Ohh Father, bless your heart. I got Lupus. I'm 70. I learned to give it to Jesus and Mary. Best decision ever. Now I got the Peace of Christ. God Bless All Y'All!
💕🙏O Jesus, I implore Your divine assistance for Your faithful and fervent priests; for Your unfaithful and tepid priests; for Your priests laboring at home or abroad in distant mission fields; for Your lonely and desolate priests;for Your young priests; for Your dying priests; for the souls of Your priests in purgatory. But above all, I commend to You the priests dearest to me; the priest who baptized me; the priests who absolved me from my sins; the priests at whose Masses I assisted and who gave me your Body and Blood in Holy Communion; the priests who taught and instructed me; all the priests to whom I am indebted in any other way. O Jesus, keep them all close to Your Sacred Heart and bless them abundantly in time and eternity. Amen.💕🙏

I’ve learned a lot from father Anthony reasons of why, and how to face it, and pray to the Lord and I give it up to the souls of purgatory which I’ve learned to do because eventually once they are in heaven, they pray for us here. 🙏⛪️
God bless you, father Anthony may your pain not be so strong that you can carry the cross with the Lords help bless you and please make more homily you have the gift🙏⛪️
Thank you for having this talk! You've helped many people today.
THANK YOU FATHER ❤ this is an extremely useful talk.
Fr Kaz took over when you were taken away …
You are blessed Fr Anthony to be standing before us today … God bless you more . We continue to pray for your good health
How amazing it is to have this video pop up after praying to God today to let me give my worries and anxiety to Him as I am not able to carry this burden alone of my chronic diseases. Thank you for sharing this with us Father. Thank for answering my cry Lord. Amen. 🙏
God always gives us what we need
Diabetes cuts all activities away from you 😔
God bless you Father Anthony I will remember you in my recitation of the Rosary. Please when you feel those pains during the night repetitive Prayers to the Sacred Cross of Jesus are very powerful.
May almighty God accept our suffering prayers as incence offered for the conversion of souls that many will be drawn to loving him. What a mess chronic illness is.
Thanks father as a person who sturggels with prolonged psychosis/ suspected schizophrenia with a constant psychological pain and fears 💔🥀
We are praying for your healing and finding comfort in our Lord Jesus.
Please pray for Gianna Alvarado. She was admitted to the hospital for pneumonia. 💙🙏
FR. Anthony, while listening to your talk I felt like you were talking to me😂
Unfortunately, about 15 years ago my doctors had to put me out on Disability for physical illness. It was very hard for me to stop working, I cried for almost a year .😔
Me too, Fr. Anthony, it break my heart when my own family tells me I look good because I am thin. They do not realize that occasionally I lose too much weigh due to an intestinal illness. Once a year when I get hospitalized I think they realize I am not good as as I look.😩
I am a little confused because I have been sick for so long that I gave up PRAYING for healing now, I just HOPE for healing. 🙏💕
I do offer up my pain and accept God’s will for me.
I will never give up for him🙏💕
God bless you, your loved ones, all Marian priests, brothers, and all the MIC Community🙏💕
I still have pain since it affects all joints, including vertebrae in my back. I have subluxations, which are basically partial dislocations of joints. It can get very painful but nowhere near as bad as my back used to be. I am so grateful 💖💖💖
Praise God
Thank you Lord fir bring us Fr. Anthony. We believed that we were alone in this and were poor and bad in adoring You.
You understand our minds and know our hearts in this struggle.
Ohh Father, bless your heart. I got Lupus. I'm 70. I learned to give it to Jesus and Mary. Best decision ever. Now I got the Peace of Christ. God Bless All Y'All!
Prayers for you

💕🙏O Jesus, I implore Your divine assistance for Your faithful and fervent priests; for Your unfaithful and tepid priests; for Your priests laboring at home or abroad in distant mission fields; for
Your lonely and desolate priests;for Your young priests; for Your dying priests; for the souls of Your priests in purgatory. But above all, I commend to You the priests dearest to me; the priest who
baptized me; the priests who absolved me from my sins; the priests at whose Masses I assisted and who gave me your Body and Blood in Holy Communion; the priests who taught and instructed me;
all the priests to whom I am indebted in any other way.
O Jesus, keep them all close to Your Sacred Heart and bless them abundantly in time and eternity. Amen.💕🙏
