- THE GREAT AMERICAN BOURBON TRIP - PART 3
After three days of travel, adventuring and a lot of liquid, it was time to explore the local surroundings of Downtown Louisville, KY.
Sadly, my pre-planned shotlist and schedule went out the window due to the above, but with Michters directly across from my hotel, what better bourbon place to start! Baseball bats were swung at Louisville Slugger Museum, Whiskey Row held many surprises, and the KFC YUM did as well!
And all this before ending the night at a great Louisville bar, Tartan House.
So sit back, and enjoy this 'Journey' through a fraction of what Louisville has to offer.

Another enjoyable video. That was quite a long winded process to buy that bottle of Michters! Was it just part of the "theatre" of buying the bottle or is it a way to deter flippers? Looking forward Part 4.
Cheers! They apparently do this every day, and the offering changes day to day. I’m not sure they have enough variety to bring flippers in, but I do know they create scarcity this way! It’s also the only place to get the cask strength juice.

Which song? If during the slo-mo bottle tour, it was a cover of the Daniel Johnston song 'Walking the Cow' by Berries.
What an amazing trip! Just got myself a bottle of Eagle Rare to try as it was in the local Tesco... what are the drink drive law like over there, how did you get to drink so much lol. Also how did you get all those purchases back from the states 😂

Drink drive laws are comparable to here, but day 3 was a walking day from the hotel thankfully, and was the only day I could enjoy pours. The days before I made sure to have sips instead of pours, drink plenty of water and ate plenty of food. They do have bus tours though, and the folk I saw on those were having plenty of pours for sure!
I had to buy another suitcase, brought inflatable bottle protectors and packed extremely carefully! 🥃
Eagle rare is yum just had my first pour.
