I love listening to Elliott talk about his perspectives on music. He was so authentic and intelligent it comes through in his work. Plus i find his speaking voice quite calming.
I think everyone Elliott fan who watched the Oscars that year held out hope that he would win, but knew he wouldn't. Even after he performed, there was barely a flicker more. Yes, like you, I wanted him to win so much. But no, the Oscars is a place for the Titanic song.
I love his take on music, on his approach, and just his unencumbered way of being true to himself. I am sorry that he is gone, but he has given his gift of music, which I appreciate very much.

Elliott is too good for the Oscars
In my heart Elliott won that night..
Even the movie holds up better now than Titanic..

@@Alfalfa_Male changed that for you..thanks for pointing my flaws out.
@@spacealienjesus709 It's not pointing out _your_ flaws. It's pointing out a very basic and highly annoying error in the language.
@@NxDoyle chill man it’s legit a grammatical error in a youtube comment
@@thomasjacksonsnumber1fan772telling people to chill always works
Elliot Smith. A very genuine individual.
I love Elliott Smith, you know? That's the thing; it's very uncomplicated.
i’m never gonna know you now, but i’m gonna love you anyhow 😔

Thank you 🎉
I'ma astonished that he acknowledged Shane MacGowan as a influence. Elliott Smith and Shane MacGowan are my two favourite songwriters!
I’ve never heard of Shane. I’ll have to look him up.
He is so Garth here. This whole interview could be summed up in one Wayne’s World quote; “Thank you, I like to play.”
Triple jAy tRIpple jAaAy trIplee JaaAaay triPle jAyYy
crafty vs real..very insightful reflection of his ideas of music
I love you Elliott

When he was talking about Celine Dion I thought it was so funny but I don't know why
Check out the clip of Jon Brion singing, “Celine Dion is a really nice person.”
I've been noticing that ever since that episode of Rick and Morty, there's been a surge of Elliott Smith fans.
Not saying that it's bad though
