Welcome to my hair diaries!!!!
As a black woman living in America, society has taught us to wear everything but OUR gorgeous hair. Somewhere down the line we’ve lost ourselves and have been consumed with the identity of others. Thankfully, there's so many women who have gone back to their natural hair and embraced the journey. I’m one of them. But this time with a twist. I don't want to be identified as someone who only wears wigs. I want to be identified as someone who mainly wears her hair but loves all types of other styles as well; I'm a "fun natural." I like to switch it up and try different things...
One thing I did not include in the video is that when I want to wear my hair straight, I can pop on a wig. I don't want to cause any damage to my coils so I save that for my wigs. Braids, wigs, and other protective styles are so fun and allows me to be creative but my natural hair will always be number 1.
I'm embracing this journey and will learn to find different styles that you can do on your hair too.
I have another video coming with me doing finger coils on my hair and y'all I can't believe I did a
wash-n-go (with coils) in 2 hours 😮‍💨😮‍💨💅🏽 right now I'm on day 4 and I can't wait to do a wash day and show you guys what I'm using.
I should mention that after being out in the cold, I now see why naturals would have a protective style for the winter because babyyyy my head has been cold 🤣🫣 and I caught a little cold. 😤
