On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

Thank you guys for watching and if you have any ideas for future videos please put them in the comment section below and they might just end up in the pipeline, thanks again, much Love.
Would love to see a mosquito versus AP 38
Fw190 canopy is plexiglass=plastic
Brilliant both of you, pleasant looking video. What about "What if" aircraft (Horten's, Lippisch, Messerschmidt - Arado - Focke Wulf projects) ? Keep going anyway, see you soon .
Canopy is not glass, it’s acrylic. Perspex to a Brit.
WW2 dogfights are the best.
they are my favorite, i never miss them
Yes, I wish you guys would go back to those more.
Not that I don't looove me some 4th/5th gen jet combat.
Especially ones involving the Jug
More ww2 dogfights
ww2 dogfighting in a biplane
LOL The greed was real in that last fight!
Had to give him a little more
Shotgun the madlad. Watching his escapades has got me back into the channel.
He can make that thing dance, apparently. Didn't know a Jug could do WWI-style snap rolls.
7:01 - GS calls the P-47 a "fat pig" if it gets slow.
8:07 - P-47: "And I took that personally."
😄 I'm loving these warbird dogfights, bro. Thanks for mixing these in among your other excellent content!
thanks brother, appreciate you watching, much love.
@@GrowlingSidewinderyes please do a video attacking an allied bomber formation. Maybe recreate one of the battles from masters of the air. It would be fascinating to see it from German POV.
Took it personally BOTH times!
@@GrowlingSidewinder BTW after you shot that P-47 at 7:39, he managed to hit you a bit, then you're going basically straight while P-47 plants itself on your tail.
To my ABSOLUTELY UNEDUCATED eye that situation looked rather avoidable. Or was it really? What exactly happened here? That P-47 looked to be hit pretty damn good so it's not like your aircraft was shot to pieces and his was doing fine (unless these hits around the engine did absolutely nothing).
Crazy how quickly it went sideways after you called the P47 a fat pig in round 2 😂
P47 😉
She was a very big lady, but she had a massive Turbo-Supercharger up her skirt!
Love that P-47. Shotgun had some mad skills with the P-47. I'm impressed! That's a big, heavy bird to be rolling around like that and still keep the energy up. 👍
That P-47 took it personally
*Hits the water*
GS: "Ah whatever!"
I like the idea of attacking bombers. Infact I have already created one such sceario in which 2 large formations of B17's escorted by P47 come across the Channel at 25000 feet in two waves. I used Bf109's in my mission starting at 30000 feet. I have about 50 aircrafts in the air at one time. Lots of fun and tons of vapour trails. Keep up with the Warbird videos!!!!
How much RAM do you have, and what's your CPU? A similar mission got my computer freezing
Good to see some WWII action.
The Jug doing Jug things. Eats 20mm, stays in the fight, and then returns the favor x2
That ending - chef's kiss.
Loving the new WW2 stuff. I want to see you fly the F4U.
Do you know if they finally added it to DCS?
Nope, magnitude 3 is slow@@Kurt20051YT
@@Kurt20051YTthhey have not yet. I will be instantaneously purging my finances when they do.
@@ThomasHendrickson Same lol
@ Favorite fighter?
he pulled a really nice moved there at 8:40 using his rudder to drift sideways allowing him to keep guns on target for longer. Great fight, really enjoying these WW2 scenarios.
Filthy, nasty, raunchy move that was
I saw a 190 in a museum. I think it was Dayton Ohio. The placard said it had 75%the horsepower of the P 47, but weighed half as much. The 190 looked tiny compared to the P47.
Almost every ww2 fighter looks tiny compared to the p47 lol
@@Nate_935_Yeah, but considering the heavy armament of the FW190, the role as an interceptor and a fighter bomber, and the proportional size compared to the Bf109 it makes sense that people think the FW190 is a big plane
This shotgun guy has been pulling off absolutely bananas manuevers
He was a joy to watch.
The first 190s showed up over the English Channel in August 1941. Instantly outclassed the Mk V Spitfire and accelerated the development of the Mk IX.
The RAF got crazy lucky when a German pilot got lost and accidentally landed his Fw-190A-3 at a British airfield in the summer of 1942.
Actually the 190 had better fire power speed climb and role rate it was one of those the British over reation to it thinking it was better and created the spitfire with shorter wings. Turned out the 190 has the same abilitys around the f4u p47 and 190 more of a heaver fighter like the p47.
Mk IX was one of the greatest marks of the Spitfire, and arguably one of the greatest fighters of WW2, so the 190 did us a big favour😅
@@boomboomyourdoomdoom1767 no
@@Flange-lw9sp Best Merlin Spitfire to be sure. That aircraft didn't get better until the Griffon engine came along.
Gotta watch that target fixation there. FW-190 Bomber intercept would be cool
Target fixation is the same problem as pilot that fly HUD BFM... you have to be steps ahead, never respond to direct stimuli unless you are forcing an overshoot.
The "Splurt" sound after you bailed out was hilarious!
This was awesome! P47 is my favorite plane, since I was a kid. Love to see these types of dog fights. The maneuver by Shotgun at 7:55, was some wtf lol
What I like most about the aerial dogfight is the geometry and physics. It’s cool what is being done with new missile technology but this is the stuff I most like to see.
GS being so bloodthirsty that he even splashed himself! Always amazing to see a ww2 fight against Shotgun.
Yes, finally some P-47 dogfight!!! Next is against the dora!
Round 1: Sadness.
Round 2: Happiness.
Round 3: ... You know what, I'll take it.
Would like to see the F-86 Sabre go back in time to the Battle to save Britain and or to the Battle of Midway
Great idea, I think that would be really fun.
Ever heard of the movie "The Final Countdown"?
@@MrAstronusthose were F-14s and A-7s, little more of a technological leap
@stevemc6010 Yes, but it's a setting similar you lokling for.
And, I like the F-4, but O love the F-14
@@MrAstronus Yes at 17 planned to join the military but that Movie made me join the Navy. Yet I'm glad I didn't get stationed onboard a carrier
Man that first fight was a perfect shot straight across every single control surface.
That might have been the best dogfight you’ve ever had? Love it.
For sure. Between this and the first dogfight from the other recent WW2 video with Shotgun in his yellow P-51 it's really hard to decide which is better.
GS: Thanks today to Shotgun for flying as my opponent.
Shotgun: I'mma about to ruin this man's entire career.
@Agree the other video was awesome too. Especially the extreme low flying that shotgun was doing! Your response to that was hilarious.
This one is GREAT!!! You both fought so hard!
I really enjoyed the harrier video you posted recently
Thanks! Good video.
thank you very much
There is something so profoundly American about the p-47
Pratt and Whitney. Accept no substitutes.
The waistline?
It's a Plexiglass canopy so it is plastic and that's why there's a section of piano hinge in it.
1:38 "He''s got quite the energy state." Uh, it's a P-47 I'm pretty sure that as long as his engine is on, he's going to have quite the energy state 😂
Always been a bit of a Republic problem.
Bombers? Yessss please!!!
I am loving these WW2 battles. It's been a minute. Very entertaining!
You figured out the FW-190A's secret sauce in the second round with the Rolling Scissor - the Aileron roll of that thing is matched by very few fighters. Will let you escape from pursuit fairly easily, especially if you have them coming in fast like that.
It's unmatched actually. The best roll rate of any fighter of ww2.
Yes please!!!
I’d love to see the FW 190 on a bomber interdiction mission
Instantly clicked when I saw WW2, please make more of those! I just checked your recent videos, it looks like the Bf109 K video did twice as good as the other non-WW2 themed videos, so it seems like I'm not alone here...😂
Anyways, great video, love your content!
What GS demonstrated at the very end there is called an "uncontrolled departure from flight". :D
FW = Falling Warbird 😆
My understanding was that due to it’s weight, the P-47 would use slashing attacks and not turn with 109s or 190s. If they tried to dive away, the P-47 could easily chase them down. Roll rate is where the 190 excels so single circle fights down low would be a great option. As soon as Shotgun started reversing, I feel you had the edge. I agree with all the comments about the WW2 fights - great fun to watch. Thanks to Shotgun also! 👏🏻
Takes a lot of skill to fight with both of those. Well played Gentlemen.
The "Butcher Bird" was an awesome aircraft.
WWII era dogfights are my favorites!
The FW 190 was primarily used against Allied Bombers. And it excelled in that role. THe Germans kept upgrading the armament (making it heavier) to be more effective in that role.
By making it heavier, it got worse at dogfighting, meaning they had to be escorted by nimbler Bf-109s.
Just like the Su-30 vs F22 video, there is no better ending than this💀
I have a hard time believing the canopy was that reflective and distorted. Love these WWII fights!
Love the wwii stuff and the idea of going against bombers.
The sound of the throttle increasing when you found him behind you 😂
Never thought I would see the day GS would pull the classic blunder of "He won't be coming back from that" followed by making himself an easy target.
Nice fighting GS, love the WW2 planes
That was absolutely excellent! WWII dogfights rule. Thanks GS!
Love the WW2 props. You have to get in close and can't rely on afterburning engines to help with energy conservation.
Please yes to that scenario idea!!!
I enjoy so much ww2 dogfights man!! thx
Ww2 dogfights are sooooo good to watch, the bests to me
love the ww2 dogfights
Bonjour de France. I watch your videos for years now and I must say your channel is damn bloody good indeed! Thanks for all that! Au plaisir.
thank you brother, I appreciate that very much, Much love.
I had a good laugh at 8:18. Funny!
Something for the moment of death compilation at the end of the year
YES THE WW2 VIDEOS ARE BACK!
Dude these ww2 dogfights are just incredibly satisfying to watch plz do more variations of this again :)
The 190 is my second favourite WWII plane, after the Mossie.
your greed and hunger for revenge got you lol
Great fight !!!!
If you fall out of the seat in a P-47... you will break your leg. (It's massive inside a Jug)
Attacking Bomber formations? YES PLEEAAASE!! The very high roll rate of the FW190 gives you the abillity to change directions faster than your opponent if you get chased.
The fights between you and Shotgun are always great. You push each other and make each other better.
WW2 dogfights are my absolute favorite, also I love to see Shotgun giving you a challenge
When you looked down and there was no legs, I thought it was Douglas Bader flying the plane!
Two of my personal favorite WW2 fighters going tow to tow? Yes please! Both machines are absolute MONSTERS.
FW190 vs Bomber squadron? Yes, please do!
The ww2 dog fights are always my favorite!
Im really loving the ww2 content, keep it up!
I'd love to see a bomber interception featuring the Fw 190D. The Dora is one of my favorite planes from WWII.
I am so happy you're back into warbirds. It's always white knuckle stuff.
FINALLY!!! Proper dog fights again.
"Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves." - Confucius
Always love the warbird stuff!
Huge fan of both of these planes. Thank you for this. 2nd round kill looked historically accurate.
Ww2 dogfights!!!! I like and share every single one of these I see
You fell for one of the classic blunders! He lured you over the ocean and flew lower and lower while you fixated on him and didn't realize how close the water was getting!
Defeat snatched from the jaws of victory! Great fights. Thank you both.
Great fight!! Love WWII action. More P47 fights please, please. :)
This is awesome...... Love watching you use the Luftwaffe machinery & showing their great potential....
Your prop plane fights and A-10 stuff is my favorite content. Bandit unknown is my second fasvorite
There it is, long awaited dogfight between two best ww2 era fighter planes!
A Butcher Bird, huh? Yeah, that's gonna be a fight vs. that Thunderbolt. Good fight, y'all!
My 2 favorite planes hell yeah this was epic!!
I love watching your videos while drunk it makes them feel real hit the canopy reflections made it brutal
Yes I’ve been waiting for the 190 for forever!
Bomber hunting in ww2 props would be a fun mini-series to explore on the channel for a bit.
glad to see u brought back the dramatic music
Love the WW2 Dogfights!
Perfect, spicy dogfighting to go with my spicy ramen xD love a good Shotgun dogfight. The bomber fight sounds interesting, although it would be a lot more interesting if you could fill the gunner spots on the bombers with actual players. These are some SUPER close fights, I would love to see a TacView on one of them ;)
This gives me Microsoft Flight Combat vibes, man that was fun at the time. Another fun vid. 👍
I really enjoy your WW2 stuff. And Shotgun is your best opponent ever. The guy is full of surprises.
Bro you had him in your sights so many times in that last fight and I was yelling at the screen for you to pull the trigger
Loving the warbirds videos. Great work!
4:30 - Yes please! And here's a suggestion: Have a 1 v. 1 fight like this, but one fighter has to escort 5 bombers. If the attacking fighter downs the escort -- or 3 or more bombers -- he wins the round. The escort pilot has to down the interceptor, or get 3 or more bombers safely to their target. What do you think?
P-51D vs FW 190 please. The P-47 was a powerhouse flying tank, but the P-51D had it all including agility.
Hey you took my suggestion! Thank you so much! I am a thunderbolt nut! My favorite ww2 warbird!
You and Shotgun are alwayz a great show. Thank you. Peace all
1:1:1 was a funny outcome because you juuust said "I'm going to be very careful" :P
And yes, Shotgun can absolutely do the "I'm a leaf on the wind. Watch me soar" drifting maneuvers. I'd like to see you two do P51 vs P51, etc, so the aircraft are identical.
Pretty sure those canopies were made with clear plastic and not glass.
This video made me go from not even considering the Fw 190 as an option, to spending hours researching which one I should get
