Just found your vid. Our plant is 30 years old given to my mom by my grandpop. I had tried to propagate from stems of the plant that had broken off and was unsuccessful. I just had the courage to repot it and was surprised as well that it wasn’t root bound but I found another way to divide it when I saw that so many of the plant had individual roots. I had always planned to regrow and gift this plant to my siblings and now I feel much better about it’s success.

I just got a new Chinese evergreen that i kind of took from a DR's office because they had a whole garden that was like 95% dead and I took one stem that didn't have any roots and potted it in some soil. I hope it grows roots and gets big and beautiful like your Chinese evergreen plant.

This was fantastic and very inspiring, love. Thanks for sharing. I am just learning about Aglaoanema's and recently purchased two of them. I would like to know when is it two soon to repot or propagate my new ones to make them bushier?.... (they are in 6 inch pots now).

I had no idea that Aglaonemas could wine (sort of) like that. Good luck with the project and thanks for sharing.

I just got a new job and someone abandoned one of these plants in the office. I put it in the window and started watering it. One of those tendrils had collapsed and had a rotten spot. I cut above and below the rotten place and am trying to root the tendril. It doesn't have any leaves but has the beginning of a shoot.

The stalk of my red king was knocked and broke off right at the soil level. I put the whole 4” pot in a zipper bag to help retain some humidity. Do you know if the roots in the pot will put out a new stem? I put the broken top in water under grow lights after removing a few couple bottom leaves. Do you have any tips that could help save my plant?

Thanks for sharing this video. I am about to try to salvage an Aglaonema plant that my mother inherited from my grandmother almost 30 years ago. My mother gave me the plant a little over a decade ago. I have managed to keep it alive, but it has not done well the last couple years. It is looking pretty bad, but I am hoping to propagate at least one plant from it. Wish me luck!

I was sure if u had planned to try rooting the thicker stem in water for a while, just to see if they will root as an experiment, happy planting ❤

HI can someone answer me ASAP.
I have one of these plants. very large. But this year a few branches were knocked off. I took them and attempted to water propagate them to salvage the accidents. THEY WILL NOT ROOT IN WATER. Is there another way to salvage the large stems that got knocked off the base plant? Can I put it straight into soil without roots?

I'm really wishing my single stem plant will have an offshoot soon. I got this from a mother plant back at the end of 2019. It's thriving but no offshoot yet.

Did you keep the longer stems you cut off? They too would root in water as well. That is a nice plant, Chinese evergreen 🪴
