Nicole, once again - thank you for this GREAT tutorial. I never use the background or proposal feature. But, I will certainly do so now. I look forward to your next tutorials. Class is in session 😆
It’s such a great tool! I love figuring out new ways to create epic designs for my clients. When I was editing I heard it too! Haha it’s crazy! Thank you for the well wishes 💜
This was awesome. I usually use Canva to make custom advertising screens for my Samsung display monitor like you'd see at The Habit burger place or at a store from my mobile app. Funny thing is, I've never used the desktop version as I don't have time to do it "on the fly" but, I think I may start using the animate features on the touch to start screen on my photobooth. I use darkroom so I know it's possible to animate the touch to start. My wife usually makes all the custom 2x6 or 4x6 templates just from Google but I'm gonna share this vid to her to see if it makes designing templates easier.
@@ownyourmomentco templates for single photos (e.g. overlays) would be a good one to see especially on how we could get creative with them. Also any advice/tips on things you struggled with on creating events in the app that you later discovered? Loved the tips on separating the overlay from the background and how you created the folders on canva!
Great video! I don't use Canva Pro for photo templates, but digging the process. I have been using a subscription service that integrates with my booking engine and allows my clients to choose from over 500 designs. I then further customize it to their request. It is definitely needed for my work flow and worth the cost.
Ooh very interesting! Yea salsa provides several templates to use which is great if you don’t want to customize. I like the creative process so I don’t mind 😊
@@ownyourmomentco I love it when I get to customize, but having a full time+ job made it harder to give time to the process. Thankfully that will be changing soon!
@@juliedumas5329 I don't have Salsa, but I use Photo Booth Talk for the template subscription. They have templates that can be customized through PhotoShop, Darkroom Booth (what I use), and Canva...but only 10 template designs for that one. You can also look at Bespoke Booth, PBO Design Shop, and Photo Booth Graphics.
This is so helpful 😊..Does the salsa also imply on when you are using mirrorbooth?and can you just use the canva directly without the need of salsa app?
So the only difference would really be the requirements of the software you use. So for the mirror booth check for their specific photo requirements and then you should absolutely be able to design in Canva however you’d like!
There’s only one printer I’d recommend and it’s the dnp 620, linked in this video here: 5 Things You Need to Start Your Photo Booth Business | Salsa Photo Booth ua-cam.com/video/Ip9NVVJPCLY/v-deo.html It is out of stock right now but if you get on notification lists you’ll be the first to know when they come back
great video, thank you. I'm having some trouble though when I try to replicate. I've downloaded the 2x6 Vertical Template (3 Photos) from Salsa. The template tells me each photo box is 480px by 380px. In Canva, when I stretch the square element to 480px by 380px, it's huge! Bigger than the 2x6 inch template. Have you encountered this? What might I be doing wrong?
I was able to fix it! I started the template design within Canva using a 2x6inch design base. When I began my design using a 600 by 1800 px base, the 480px by 380px boxes were the proper size.
My TTS screen won't upload for some reason. It says I'm reaching the maximum 5mb. I checked my time limit and size and took all the animations off. I don't know what else to do. Any suggestions?
Hi, thanks for the tutorial. I use a different company than Salsa booth, but I can apply most of what you talked about. The one thing I'm not sure about is if the picture spaces are cut out on Canva or if I'd need to take it into Photoshop to make the holes. I know I'd still need to use my photo booth software to place the booth pictures under the template if there is something cool in the overlay. Does my question make sense?
No you shouldn’t have to cut out the spaces at all, they’re just there for us to know where to place our design before we export. I’ll remove the blank spaces before exporting and your software should make those picture spaces
Hello, I love your videos , I had learn so much, I have a question, Can I used another app for salsa Photo Booth or it has to be the one that they offer you? thanksss
Glad it’s been helpful! Yes you can use a different software with the salsa Photo Booth. You can’t use some of the features like the color changing LEDs but I believe that’s it.
Canva is a design platform that isn’t exclusive to any other software! So it definitely should work with Lumabooth but to be sure you should reach out to them
Are you only able to use one size template for an event? Was just curious if there was a way to use multiple template sizes on the same event and guests could choose.
@@ownyourmomentco ok! So if I set it up for my wedding the guests can only take photos for example the three photos? Or is there an option for them to select another photo option?

Hey Nicole thank you for this. I need clarification. I created the Event folder, under that I create a design? or brand template???? thanks so much.
You could do a brand template if you wanted to, but it’s just there to stay organized. Not vitally necessary, just helpful

Great video. Why do all my tenplates and overlays show in reverse but after taking the pic it shows up correctly?
It’s mirrored. Mirroring helps the guests get in the correct position easier.
So do we keep it in mirror mode? Is that what you suggest?
I do! I prefer it

Is this going to change when it configures to the fiesta app?
Process should be very similar! There are onboarding classes that show how to do it!
How do you get the ruler like numbers to pop up around the screen to get the sizing of the box?
Can you only do it on a computer ?
Yes!
File-view settings-show rulers and guides
Are you able to transfer to lumabooth or does it only work for salsa
Canva is a design platform that isn’t exclusive to any other software! So it definitely should work with Lumabooth but to be sure you should reach out to them

Yes one template for the entire event. This allows for a consistent gallery for the whole event
@@ownyourmomentco Thanks! I kinda prefer this. One less option I have to worry about guests trying to figure out.
Haha SO true!
How do you show the dimension of your shape
When you go to adjust you’ll see it pop up on the right of your mouse. Otherwise you can go to settings and make sure “rulers and guides” are enabled
Hi Nicole, can you use the salsa app for event even if you're not using their photobooth?
I do believe you can! The LEDs will be the only thing that won’t be compatible (only white are available)
@Own Your Moment Co thanks. Is the LED built into the app?
It’s controlled by the app
@@ownyourmomentco Thank you 😊
What software do you use?
Hey! I use Salsa from photo booth supply co, you can find more info here: glnk.io/5w24l/ownthemoment

How do I add multiple templates?
Only one template can be used at a time
