We hope this video helps our audiences to have a better understanding of how our motor gear works and how we are able to implement the 'motion scene' and the moving water pipes system in this model kit itself.

Drawing inspiration from Japan’s Edo period, we’ve meticulously crafted miniature versions of Ryokan. Each house and room boasts traditional sliding doors, tatami flooring, and a surrounding ring of wooden verandas, encapsulating the essence of a quintessential Japanese dwelling. Complemented by vibrant traditional lamps and lanterns (tōrō, andon, and bonbori), these elements collectively generate a warm and cozy ambiance in every room.
In the heart of our Ginzan Onsen, three distinct buildings tell a story: two flanking structures dedicated to serene onsen baths and the central main building hosting rows of patrons indulging in kaiseki-ryōri dining. The enchanting motion scene gracefully portrays waitresses serving meals to their respective diners, all adorned in kimonos. Our goal is to capture the timeless beauty of traditional Japanese clothing, revered and cherished in our modern era.
The design of Ginzan Onsen takes a nostalgic turn with alternating moving pipes that transport water from the river to the structures. This water pump system, reminiscent of days gone by, is an essential feature we’ve incorporated. It not only adds functionality but also provides a poignant glimpse into the growth and development of the modern world over the years.

This is helpful since the booklet that comes with the Book Nook has errors where the numbers of the parts you need aren't shown.

Numbers aren't shown, simlar-looking pieces are numbered the same, some steps aren't included (like the construction of the train wheels)... I could go on and on with what's wrong with this set. I'm disappointed to say the least.

@@kat.k4666 Yeah, also loosely fitting pegs is also one of my main grievances with this set. I enjoyed building sets by ROKR and Rolife a lot more than this one, and it has become a real slog.

I'm having difficulty attaching the rubber band to the wood. I tried the superglue gel. Any suggestions?

Hi Karen, thanks for reaching out to us on this, would it be possible for you to try another type of superglue? Are you using the Gorilla Super Glue?

Alternatively, you could use a strong double-sided tape. Please let us know if either works, our team is always here to help!

I tried that too and it doesn't work. Finally I wrapped the rubber band around the spindle as shown and then placed a small, clear rubber band meant for pony tails around the first rubber band to hold it in place.

You're right - but after numerous amount of trial and errors, this is the most optimal motor sound we can achieve!

This video is helpful, but at the same time laughable because of the apparent ease of assembling the parts. No doubt due to the stop motion filming technique. I am currently assembling this in the PNW so perhaps in a xeric environment like Arizona the parts would slide together as shown in the video. However, here the fit is very tight. So here are some of my assembly notes to date:
    1. Step #3: watch out for part #27. There are actually 2 shapes with this number and the difference is subtle. Make sure you have the correct shape in the correct slot before you press them home. It's a tight fit and if you get it wrong it's difficult to remove them.
    2. Step #17: Attaching the rubber band to part #37. The slot where the rubber band is attached is very tiny and fragile. Be sure to stretch out the rubber band until it is thin to get it in the slot. I broke this part and am waiting for a replacement.
    3. Steps # 23 and 24: The wired connections to the motor are very hinky. I was being very careful with the motor but nonetheless one of wired connections broke off. There was only one strand of the wire soldered to the motor. I am waiting on a replacement for the motor.
    4. Steps #50 - 54: Knowing what I know now I would have attached part #s 149 and 48 as shown in steps #57 -59 to the crankshaft before doing the assembly shown in steps #50 -54. Also, the 2 shapes that comprise part # 149 need extensive sanding with an emery board to reduce their size before part #48 will fit over them. And there's SIX of them!
    5. Step #35 on page 11: There are 2 different parts labeled #81. The tan colored bar is actually part #10.
    6. The part replacement request on the website: It has 3 areas to upload photos to. 2 are for missing parts and 1 is for replacement parts. I was only requesting (so far) replacement parts but it wouldn't allow me to submit the request until I uploaded photos to the missing part sections.
Finally I wrote on a piece of paper that I had no missing parts, took a photo of that and uploaded it. Success!
    To be continued...

Nice set but the instruction book is horrible
I’ve already had trouble on step 2 because of it
Plus the scenery on the big paper came all crumbled up and once I had asked for a new paper i was sent a file to print it out myself
My printer is not even working
It would’ve been nice if the paper and box were more carefully packed
    Especially at that price

  • @kat.k4666
    @kat.k4666 Місяць тому +2

Yes it looks absolutely amazing, but the quality of the set is abysmal. There are pieces missing, images misprinted holes missing due to miscuts. I can't get over the fact that this set is so very expensive and yet so poorly produced. And they keep refering me to their replacement service - an online form that is impossible to fill out because it consists of about a zillion required text fields with no description whatsoever. I feel betrayed and wasted my money on this. Sorry for speaking out the truth.
