Blacklock is my favourite place for a roast, always try to get booked in if I’m in London on a Sunday, but it’s got really popular so hard to get in now. Their veg and potatoes are really good as well as perfectly cooked meat.
My go to bagel in the US was the Everything bagel with veggie cream cheese. I live in Greece now and it’s so hard to find a “real” bagel here. The food looks pretty good in London. I love your videos!! 😊👍
Was this filmed 3 weeks ago, just curious as you are all wrapped up when the weather here during that time was hot like summer. Anyway I will go and try that Sunday roast looks amazing. I have tried the bagel but seems overrated.
Hey AG and Aleana, you guys are eating the best food in Europe and you described them very well My question to you guys is how do you keep fit and eat rhose delicious food at the same time? Anyway keep up the good work and have fun with all your travels.😂
just curious, how long did it take for the food at Blacklock to arrive at the table? I have a Sunday reservation right when it opens but I may need to cancel if service takes too long. Thanks!
I live in a small village in the countryside in England, and I thought that salt beef bagel was extremely reasonably priced, especially for the quality of beef.
Definitely white! Yellow, no, just no. For what it’s worth, the salt beef bagel is absolutely worth the money. I get a second plain bagel and split the meat and pickles between the two! 😋😋
I feel greedy. What they brought out on that roast platter i would eat to myself on christmas day. Easy. And again another 3 or 4 times over the christmas and new year period. And my weekly sunday roasts are not much smaller than that platter either. That did look nice though, but needed more of the accompanying sauces, and the gravy WAS watery. You want it to cling to what you pour it on, not end up as soup at the bottom of the plate.
@@locavore_eats well, im 6 and a half foot tall and 300 pounds have been into weight training, so, very much like a pregnant lasy i tend to eat for two! I have noticed now im 48 and in not as good a health as i used to be in my old age isi'mlowing down more (im giving up the weights aswell so my food habits will change too) and ill drop at least 100 pounds in a few months on a protein only diet. But by doing that ill miss out on my Sunday roasts! Theres carb free alternatives but you cant beat the proper stuff! Also, if you ever get the chance to go to a british persons family for a home cooked sunday roast, no matter how good the one in this video is, unless they are bad at cooking, it is almost guaranteed that home cooked dinner will be 100x better than the restaurant one. Love the videos by the way. You guys hard work is much apprecated!
Please come to sweden some weeks before christmas and book julbord here make it in good time and select a big one please not Ikea. A big one famous and with alot to pick from. Also you can eat kebabpizza here and some other famous swedish dishes of your likings. it would be great to see.
I'll be there next month and let you know if I'm team yellow or white. 😊Blacklock looks amazing if going with a group but my solo self has decided on Quality Chop.
So the "big pile of meat" is actually a yorkshire pudding with a few slices of meat over it to make it look like its a big pile of meat. Absolute rip off
A good Sunday roast sets you up for a great week ahead 😉
Great that you could enjoy a Sunday roast, so traditional
Loved the experience so much!!
sunday roast what a feast looks mouth watering
You absolutely went to the right beigel shop!!

Thank you again!!! Hope you enjoy our Madrid videos in a couple of weeks!
London was never in my list of places to go, but you guys may have changed my mind. Going back to Italy next month.
Good to know!! It's such an interesting city 👏 Sounds amazing where in Italy are you headed to?
@@locavore_eats My usual Rome & Florence, but also going to Pisa, Bologna, Siena, Parma
Most visited city in the World for foreign tourists.👍
They say when you are tired of London you are tired of living…😉
@@TulipB89 Actually it is "when you are tired of London, you are tired of life".
That closing 'Bosch' was the icing on the cake, food looked awesome!
It was only fitting given the epic Sunday roast 😅
You need to come down to Manchester

Thanks for watching!! Speaking of...can't wait to have bagels in NYC again one day 😆
the items in the roast are meant to be eaten with a mix and mash, not each one individually. But OMG I was still drooling -thank you
Says who?
Americans always do that that. It annoys me no end. Using just a fork too, no wonder they have to eat every individual item by itself.
Like the way you both load up your fork as though it's going to be your last !
I mean you never know right?? 😅

Haha this was filmed in February hence the winter clothing 😅
@@locavore_eats I see. I will go find this place that roast looks yummy. Thanks.
50 years since I moved from E2 was always busy ❤

Thank you again!! Haha we just eat way less than when we travel and sprinkle a few gym sessions during the week to keep active 😆
You guys are adorable:)
You two are adorable❤🎉
Hehe thank you!!!

Took just over 30 mins to get our food 😊
@@locavore_eats thanks for the quick reply!
Those bagels were great value
London has less rain annually than New York,
Home, I lived 100 yards from Brick Lane.
I live in a small village in the countryside in England, and I thought that salt beef bagel was extremely reasonably priced, especially for the quality of beef.
Especially considering how expensive the rest of London is, this was such a relief to our wallets 😂😂😂
You should have gone to both baggie shops and got one from each
York-shur not shire. It is a batter.
Could you tell us how much it cost ? The sunday roast
In the video it says the roast was £24 per person but on their website it's now £26pp 😊
Definitely white! Yellow, no, just no. For what it’s worth, the salt beef bagel is absolutely worth the money. I get a second plain bagel and split the meat and pickles between the two! 😋😋
Regret not trying both now!!
Can you only order the sunday roast on sunday?
Yup the All-in roast is only available Sunday

Impressive appetite we would probably faint if we had that for one person 😆 Agree, wish the sauces for the meats were also free refills 😅

Why not get yellow also so you can decide? 😂 🤔
we really should've! but our stomach's might've burst especially with the sunday roast ahaha

If you were to come outside london you would find it so much cheaper,i live approx 21miles from london and i think its expensive🇬🇧
I didn’t think that so bagel was that expensive? And I just live in a village in the country in the Midlands.
Sunday roast looks fantastic, just not sure Id want people poking about with a big pile of food. Just serve it on individual plates
There Not Bagels, there beigels , pronounced as bygals .😊
theres more to food than london, regional eats are out of this world
Would love to explore more regional eats next time! Any particular cities/regions that would be great for food?
Beigel.
yellow any day allll day
Gotta try it next time for sure!
Gherkin.

"york-sheer" pudding only hobbits say "york-shire".
Speaking of Hobbits, we are from New Zealand after all 😅

Let me give you some advice, never talk with a mouth full of food it is considered bad mannered.
I hope he wasn't sharing that huge roast with anyone ... you do not use your hands in other people's food .
Why? We share plates amongst our family all the time lol
Aww quit moaning Linda
It was clearly meant to be shared - and he was with his family.
