Just now 6/19/24 I yoo just saw the car commercial and tears starting flowing. This song sounds better today than it did years ago. I'm 71 years old and wish young people would appreciate music of yesterday.
I remember when my older brother and friends would be under the street lights on the corner, mosquitos biting, hot as hell, in the '60s singing this song. Curtis Mayfield is in the top tier of my favorite music artists , so gifted, insightful, relavent, and seem to be an upright brother who wasnt afraid to challenge the status quo of his day thru music. Deep brother.
I forgot how great this timeless classic was to me in the sixties . I’m back , with 28 acres and some fuel. Thank you Lord Jesus Christ for saving me from all my sins in 73’ and the aunt who prayed for me

This was my best friend's favorite Impressions song. He would sing it to me all the time - beautifully. Johnny died in Vietnam. His needless death just crushed me.
I'm gonna play all these oldies to my grandsons on our way to Myrtle Beach SC..they love these songs and wonder how that music was so different in all its ways..they recognize how the rap culture can only go so far..can you imagine going to your 40th high school reunion and listening to raw and crude and raunchy rap..not gonna happen..if you're lucky you will reach 60 plus years and realize the trip itself has to have some meaning..guaranteed..
I Dedicate This Song to the most beautiful loving women in the 🌍world you formulated blood sweat and tears in providing me with a strong sense of direction and gifted me with the most valuable earthly gift ever.. a powerful moral compass and with the values, you instilled in me, I have begun the journey of making a difference in other people's lives as you have mine. I love a Bronx Tale!
Just now 6/19/24 I yoo just saw the car commercial and tears starting flowing. This song sounds better today than it did years ago. I'm 71 years old and wish young people would appreciate music of yesterday.
This was the time when men respected women. I'm so glad I grew up in this era.
Betty Ayala OMG You just hit a home run with those comments TRUE DAT My era also so damn happy! !
This was Curtis Mayfield''s group!! I grew up on them back in the day!! It brought back good memories so pretty❤
Yes! Curtis Mayfield and the Impressions were an awesome love singing group. Their music will forever be adored and appreciated! ❤❤❤💯
One of the all time classics! Sweeter than a cherry so sweet...
Frank Tuck Truth to be told AMEN! ! !
Bone-chiiling even now Frank . I can't get enough of this Good Stuff.
To my wonderful daughter, I'm so proud of you and proud to be loved by you.
I forgot how great this timeless classic was to me in the sixties .
I’m back , with 28 acres and some fuel.
Thank you Lord Jesus Christ for saving me from all my sins in 73’ and the aunt who prayed for me
🙏🏽🙏🏽
Darrylhenry5117, if God has you reading this, I'm so proud of you for making it this far. I know it was a REALLY ROUGH battle. Thumbs up to you, brother. 👍 👍
I to have great love and appreciate to my aunt. Her prayers helped lead me to my Father Jesus Christ. ❤❤
Love you daddy see you in heaven when I get there

A "Classic" and love it!!!!😊
I dedicate this song to my Mother, I love you so much and thank you for passing on all the magnificent songs from your era when music was Golden.
This was my best friend's favorite Impressions song. He would sing it to me all the time - beautifully. Johnny died in Vietnam. His needless death just crushed me.
Sweet , soulful...timeless..
Forgot how much I love this song. THANKS CAR COMMERCIAL!
Me!!!! After the car commercial!!! Loved the Impressions !!!! The music back in the day made my heart melt❤
Thank You Mother for trying to prepare me for what I have now come to infer.
