I first heard this song when I was 14, met the girl who would be my wife a year later, and married 5 years later still. We've been married for 40 years now, and I still sing this to her. It was also the first album I bought with my own wages at age 18. Takes me back every time, and I fall in love with her all over again!

I first heard this jam, back when I was 13 at a house party, Iearned to slow jam , that night, a young sista, taught me to jam, and I still think of her whenever I hear this, I hope she had a great life, never saw her again, but I jam from then on we partied our asses off in the 70s

I'm 66 now. Way back in the day when I was a teenager, my dad and I would camp out on the river all night and jug and trot line fish for catfish.. I had a little portable radio and would listen to this song in the wee hours while waiting for the fish to bite. Memories that can never be replaced. I miss those days so much
