Me and my dad work with stone and a little trick to keep in mind when making cobblestone or other similar bases stone based bases is that a lot of such stone streets have some form of grey in between the stones. Even back in the old days since they often used fine gravel. While it is easy to think that the space between the stones should have an earthy color or black shade it is more often than not a greyish color. That is often due to the materiel you use for the "seams" between the stone, it probably has a better English name but the Swedish name translate to seam.
Then moss or some amount of dirt gets between it adding spots of green and brownish colors :)
Since you seem to enjoy putting a bit of effort into bases I thought it was worth sharing :)

I sprayed them with silver, then used 3:2 yellow and brown speedpaint on top

anyway to avoid the streaked effect of the roller ?

You'd probably have to sand down the roller. I found that the lines were imprinted on the roller like it was 3D printed. You could also lightly sand the base with fine grit sandpaper.
