Keeping it real and that’s why I always love your videos
I kinda agree with what he said, that people play these games just bc it's related to NFT. Developers should really try to focus on the gaming experience cause it kinda holds back the idea of fun and just tries to cover it with crypto, nft involvement. Theres this Starlight NFT that I'm looking forward to though. Should really check it out.
Microtransactions are just about the same. Plus it’s obvious that steam won’t allow NFT games since their profits would be affected as they also control item selling on the trading market
Absolutely agree, 99.99% of the nft arts(just useless pictures) and p2e games where you basically need to click every once in a while are just Ponzi schemes. The only nft based project that can succeed, that will attract people with the gameplay itselt, not that it is an Blockchain game. But I disagree that gamers don't want NFts in real games. Actually csgo skins are NFTs and player love them. They are just not on Blockchain, but controlled by Valve and you can lose them whenever they like. Imagine playing the Fortnite with every skin, and then selling it, when you are tired of the game and getting your money back. That would incentive people to spend more on game. But game companies are the one, that don't want Nft, because in that case players are buying from secondary market and company get only a small percentage of the price, instead of paying full price directly to the game company if there is no possibility of trading in-game assets. And I also disagree with the fee cost, it's just Eth net that requires shit ton of commission, there are a lot for Blockchains that require almost zero to non commissions at all, because they utilize proof of stake instead of proof of work.
Gamers do not want NFTs, unfortunately you are blind to that market trend, along with all of the influencers and large video game developers. Do not speak on something with confidence when you are speaking with bias.
I agree with this 100%! I think once the first real gameplay focused game comes out, its going to be dope!
I was coming down to say this if a really good game with cosmetic things like 2k madden or Fortnite takes the money players invest in already for those cosmetics and allow players to resell them then it will be good it was the only kind of nft I was waiting for.
other eth competitors that have super low fees only can achieve that by being more centralized, and thats a fact.
Roblox is the OG nft factory without a block chain.
Kids can make thousands on roblox selling their creations then picked up by a team mayb and earn even more.
I like crypto games but I don't want to see games use their own crypto coin.
I want crypto games to worry about the game and partner with an already established coin. A coin that can partner with multiple crypto game teams and just keep stacking use cases.
Like I heard Disney is building a meta verse and plan to use a coin zilliqa. But since i never heard anything else on that mayb it was bs hype that failed cos zil didn't do nothing.
But it makes sense to do it that way.
Game devs don't really have any business trying to run an economy they should just focus on the game.
Like a game studio does do. Then use a coin like teams use EA or whatever.
That way even if the game fails the coin won't and the team will not be able to con the players at all.
They would just partner with a coin and receive coin like buying shares in the game or rights to its economy system.
Axie infinity what do those devs know about money? Nothing i bet. But having total control axie team had their star coin AXS.
Then they had their bag token two of them to extra confuse people and the team rugged the SLPs im sure of it. They was always gonna take the SLP money so AXS can grow.
Just like the shib team they soon released two more tokens they owned all of to profit big since they locked up their shib wallets and told us vitalik burned it all. Until oct 28th when it showed up destroyed shibs run.
Now shib still has 30 trillion tokens in total supply not counted in circulating supply so those will turn up if it ever runs again snd I really don't think it will. That tram lied too much now it only has its hostages fr ATH desperate to try and fomo others into it lol.
Hundread percent agree with you man. Finally someone stating the obvious and waking us up to reality.
I think you mean "snap back to reality".
i've been wondering why it seems like no1 is buying stuff on opensea anymore, people just aren't too interested in anything new & it seems like no NFTs have any meaningful tangible utility in real life

Regarding the security statement, I agree. But if the utility of the NFT itself is not profit sharing, then you could argue that you didn't buy for the interest in selling later on.
You do the same thing with watches and artpieces. As long as you can prove that you "didn't buy to sell" then it's not only NOT a security but also not taxed.
Verry interesting angle, yes you can buy a luxury watch and if it's a Rolex/PP/AP with rare color dial it will most likely come up in value. But here are the two main problems in my eyes. Rolex doesn't make 10 grade presentations on why their product is valuable. Such high ticket item is made by top watch specialists, it's produced in finite units and have a long history, where NFT for the most part are subpar art form. When you got an A1 tier product you don't need a marketer to sell it like what we observe right now. The prices for an art that can be replicated relatively easy is so out of touch. And It's not really quantity limited, if someone pays me to make 100 NFTs and we make good profit, this obviously will happen again and again. When you get to the point of tax reduction you got a some % of false signal to the market. Because a bunch of millionaires decided to put some money (not much for them, but if this goes up so much better for them) this is not a market move. Just like the luxury watches, if it's going to work it must have a proven track record and for now this can be said only for a verry few NFT projects.
@@Nikola_Botev are you really trying to convince people Rolex doesn't market their products...?
@@immortalcrypto5837 not at all. Rolex make proper marketing campaigns, not 10 grade presentation on how a jpg on a Blockchain will go up in value and will change your life. And for certain models you event can't buy them unless you know someone that have off catalog models and this part is not really marketed just the demand is there from theirs super fans.

I totally agree it’s like crypto where the one who are already big stay big and orthers most likley be exponentially down by each other, and yes when the SEC comes in they just one punch everything
Yes but crypto has an underlying purpose, transferring value securely. NFT is only as good as the platform holding it.
NFTs are just a way to send money without taxes, if you want to inherit money from your parents, in Spain you need to pay 15-35% tax upfront, even for Real Estate. But if the parent buys the sons NFT spending all the money he has, he will transfer money to his son without any taxes
Inheritance tax is theft from the government 💀
Thats basically money laundering and tax evasion
@@nizarama587 But legally
You won't avoid taxes. Eventually you will have to take that money and turn it into fiat to be able to use it in the real world. At that point once the money enters your bank its considered taxable income.

Been in crypto for 6 years now, there’s always a fad that comes and goes:
Lending platforms (bitconnect, p3d, davor, etc.), Crypto Kitties, Binance ERC20 ICO launches that would do 100x just because binance was attached to them. NFTs are just another fad and something new will come along to replace them. As long as you recognize it and get in early and out before it pops you’ll make an absurd amount of money, but none of these are long term investments.
This happened to me in many areas of life not only crypto or nft . That is, NFT revolved around my interest, when it wasn't hyped I was into it and it blew up just as soon as I got into it and saw NFT everywhere, soon I lost my interest it plummeted to fast as if I am controlling the NFT Space with just my mind. The other reason, War, Inflation and Crypto Bills and Ban have effected NFT's
You are the average joe ,that's why
Yeah, same here with meme coins, any time I got interested again as prices were tempting then shortly after the market pumped then I got bored and it went down etc. and as for we’re the average Joe, yeah I guess so but I’d say we’re average Joe plus one, slightly ahead of the curve but with similar mindset, but not at the level of those super early to everything genius types

I agree 90% on what said on this video, however projects like SoRare are actually working because its around NFTs but to be fair, I saw many other projects and couldn't invest because of what Biaheza mentioned about being poor games (or Heartstone clones).
From an artist point of view, I was happy to see it happening, in my head I was translating it as when back in the day you could buy an oil painting, you had the proof that you had the original item. Modern world photography (my field) was lacking this because you can just copy paste things.. however making an nft creates the original "painting" feeling where finally collectors can actually prove that the item belongs to them.
From that moment I don't have to explain how the trading and collector market works itself out.
I feel like nft is definitely the right step, but just like with everything lately, people saturated it with items only chasing maximum profit, with zero long term vision, where now they are panicing and trying to build up a system around it: bored apes.
Steve Jobs said: don't try to creat a product and try to find out how to sell it to people.. listen to what they need and then create the product.. that it the exact reason why these companies at their current form are destined to collapse.
However I truly believe that with nft we explored something much needed, and with time noise will die down, and people who actually need it, will keep improving and benefit from it.
No one’s “NEEDS” nfts lol
@@miguelfigueroa360 digital art community needs nfts lol

NFTs are only a small aspect of a larger revolutionary technology: The Blockchain. Let the hype die down and allow the blockchain to settle itself into this fast pasted world just like the internet itself has. There’s a lot of potential to be realized 💯🌐
Issue with that is that the people who own the oil painting actually has the 1 and only painting that can’t be recreated to a T. Nfts can be recreated to a t for free… it don’t hold the same value
@@gm4ulkill yes it does. you don’t own the commercial rights to screenshotted art?
Im an Nft maxi and I thought this was a good video. Its just one thing. I agree that nfts dont make games better. But what they do is create ownership. At this stage, steam can just shut down your account and take your karambit fade. If those skins were nfts connected to your wallet. Then steam couldn’t take them. I believe that digital ownership can be useful in cases like this👍
Steam could invalidate them though, particularly if we're talking about skins for valve games specifically (like CSGO and TF2). It would be as easy as having it so when someone is banned, it also checks what NFTs belong to the person and banning them as well, since the database is necessarily public.
if games shut down then the NFTs created for that game are also useless same with steam if you store NFTs on a blockchain for steam games yes you would still have the NFT but what is the point if the game it was for is no longer available
@@TeleportRush valid point. And if steam doesnt track the nft it could create alot of problems as well. The player could just connect to a new profile with his or her nft and continue with bad behavior etc. Maybe someone will come up with a solution to this. Thanks for the response.
@@RC6Jax that is very true. If there is no game, there is no reason to hold the nft.

Right now the whole shipping community still use a lot of manual solutions. Smart contracts and ownership by locating originals seems like the very best way of doing future trade.
Now, 2022, ships issue physical document and send by snail mail through banking system and the physical original document is the used at the port of discharge of cargo for the buyer to collect the goods.
U risk losing the document. U risk it being faked (fake copy). The ship may deliver to the wrong person and thus may even lose insurance cover. By using NFT technology or actually only using smart contract solutions, fake contracts of carriage would simply no longer be an issue and can be shared without snail mail..
Excellent video yet again Biaheza.
You’ve hit the nail on the head, this is the number one reason why we pivoted our start up. NFT’s can be revolutionary if used correctly, P2E and PFP’s in my humble opinion is not the correct use case as to how this technology should be used, crypto/NFT’s should always be on the backend and not dominating the entire narrative, in 2020 musicians only saw 12% of all revenues in the music industry that’s an example of a broken system that NFT’s can fix, although it’s really more about access, ownership and utility theres a lot to figure out and most of what we are seeing is nonsense. I’m more interested and focused on the underlying technology. Great video

Quick reality check to all the crypto shills in the comment section: Gamers will NEVER accept NFTs in their video games.
I’m a trader, but I’m a gamer first. Putting business before art kills games. Every time. No exceptions. Everyone here is blind to that truth. The shills here are the type of people nobody can stand. NFTs are garbage.
Well nfts have made me 35grand in 3 months and they do suck just cause you said so 😀
@@myanjae7388 I actually shorted your position an made 5mil. You wish you could be me.
Solid logic.
Gamers already have accepted NFTs in their video games. I can't speak for them as you claim to, but I can see the millions of players ditch play to circle jerk games. This is the type of logic that is used to exploit developers into a terrible work/life balance and that is what "kills games". People making them who hate their life, but should be doing it "for the passion". Why don't you trade stocks "for the passion" or STFU.
@@DanielDroegeShow Your argument is just fundamentally flawed. Gamers don’t accept NFT’s. You only want to do things that make you money? Fine. The customer base does not accept this bullshit. You launch a product infested with this and it WILL fail. The fact that you’re trying to make a speculation about a market you don’t know a thing about is hilarious. If you were a fan of games, you’d know it wouldn’t work.
Ubisoft’s stock price dropped 50% in the last 2 years, they’re actively looking to sell the company to salvage something out of it. They’re the king of trying to make money over making actual creative works.
Passion is the backbone of the entire entertainment industry. A dirty little shill like you would never get that though. If it doesn’t make you the most money possible, then it’s worthless to you. That’s why projects will fail. Every time. Every box office flop, every forgotten video game, is a result of your flawed mindset. Sure, you gotta keep a budget, and set realistic expectations for workers wages and the scope of a project, but that’s no excuse to think NFT’s would ever pass.
You wouldn’t stamp an advertisement on the Mona Lisa for more ‘exposure’, so you shouldn’t do it here. Simple as that.

Another NFT maxi here, great video.
As a developer the main values I see in NFTs is speed. NFT technology allows for an easy to implement bundle of tools. Its the combination digital ownership, programmable utility, and connectivity to marketplaces. These technologies are not new on their own but are incredibly difficult to put together. NFTs technology basically offers this bundle as an easy to implement service.
The other value I'm seeing is giving the opportunity for people to buy into brands and be directly apart of their journey and/or community. Look at Azuki, and Haus as two examples of this. Azuki can be compared with Nike and Haus apple in terms of vibe. BAYC was the first to dip their toes into this idea but Azuki and Haus are innovating and taking it to another level.
Who knows where this road will actually go and most of it is complete speculation.
But I think it's easy to forget that innovation is happening fast in NFTs, they are not a static system, they will change.
What do you think about NBA TOPSHOT bro, do you think the opinions in this video are related to that side of the NFT wave?

If you think that in the future the amount of people collecting them will grow then they'll also grow in price.

The utility of NFTs for video games is so when you buy an in game item with irl money you actually own it. Even if you are banned from the game or choose to change accounts you still have the items you bought and the money isn't necessarily wasted, you can sell them or move them to alternative accounts without the game company being in control. Video game NFTs wouldn't and aren't typically on Ethereum bc of gas fees as you pointed out, they're typically built on chains that can actually support mass transactions at very low costs, such as Solana (not saying it is used, just using it as an example of a chain that can support something like this)
I was waiting for someone to explain this to him... It provides the gamer ownership of the items they've bought so they can then re sell it on a secondary marketplace or move it to another account. Whereas now you buy an item on Fortnite and you don't really own anything
We don't want NFTs in our games Ubisoft found that out the hard way. The time requirements to unlock the NFTs were ridiculous and in addition to that the game itself was garbage. And to make matters worse many games already have marketplaces for buying and reselling in game items. And the best part of those marketplaces is that outsiders can't speculate on in game items and raise prices for people that actually play the game
@@nhilist5774 with the difference that you not really own the game items on those marketplaces and the gamedev could do literally anything with it.
This is good for the 1% of gamers who want to turn their TF2 hat-trading hobby into a full time job, but for the rest of the 99% of gamers, we don't care about "ownership", we just want some decent and actually fun games ffs.
@@erosandolina4785 who cares? I don't want to own in game items,I want to fun game to play with my friends after a long day of work and nothing more
Awesome video again Biaheza, is my volume not working or your volume is low today? Thanks for keeping us entertained and up to date!!
I don't think I could explain it better, Well done!
I think the difference is that it takes a recurring expense like Patreon and converts that into an asset. Will the general public care about that? Probably not. But like cars, guitars, etc, there are hobbyists and enthusiasts who are absolutely happy to pay that knowing there is the *potential* of it not being worthless. Meanwhile, the creator takes a royalty off each transaction, so they still benefit from recurring income.
Sad to see some people see NFTs just as an image, OWNERSHIP, thats what NFTs are and thats why they are the biggest technology in the last 20 years.
Lol look up the greater fool theory...it applies fully here.
Oh dear...
Lmfao when you pulled the clash gems out💀😭
That Piratebay sneak-in was straight fire…
Both NFT and energy inefficient cryptocoins are a serious attack on the invironment and have to stop at some point. It is amazing how many people shut their eyes for the rediculous high energy consumption. Nobody would ever accept that, except when greed comes around the corner then we forget about it real fast.
NFTs are a piece of tech. It’s like sleeping on the internet in the late 90s.
Are most project overhyped? definitely. However in 10 years people will be surprised by how much of the internet and social networks are built on top on nft and other erc tech.
You're not comparing the entire concept of the internet with nfts😂 the fact that it's technology doesn't mean it's just as revolutionary as the internet nor does it mean it will automatically still be used in 10 years
With all due respect, but I don't think that nft's will be as impactful as the entire Internet. The nft tech can be useful, but it's definitely not in the final form and investing in the current stage of the nft landscape is in no way a 100% succes. I think it more likely that the tech behind the nft will be improved and the nft's as we know them now will be useless.
@@Daan-yt7ry blockchain/crypto is no doubt bigger than the internet. Would also never doubt the power of being able to monetize and own internet content for the first time
Dedicated ball trimmers are also new tech over the past decade or so. Programming languages and standardized protocols are what the present and future will be built on.
Not silly baseless claims to objects pointing to external references that could literally be handled by google with a txt document.

Super under researched video. Interest is only drops in retail investors. Where you think Vc’s and big brands go ? Nike literally buys and entire company RTFKT bruv.
Agreed with some of the points but some weren't accurate... I'll point out these first
- alot of layer 2 are gasless, so why build a gaming NFT on top L1 where it cost a fortune to transact when you can build on top of stacks, polygon and immutableX and they cost close nothing.
- NFTs applications will vary beyond art, nowadays art was the most obvious use case but digital ownership and smart contracts are needed for remotely anything and the next 3-5 years will prove that point.
- almost 98% of projects are going to 0 that's guaranteed but also the %2 and more projects are coming to provide real value beyond just the hype and cash grabs, look for builders and solid communities and you'll be guaranteed to make it.
- invest only what you can afford to lose and encourage those around you to do so, that way you don't need to go work for McDonald's if shit hit the fan.
Thats pretty much my 2 cents and always DYOR folks
I agree, art is the main use case for NFTs right now but there are so many use cases that people have not even thought about. There will be NFTs that you can buy that will be the equivalent to having a Netflix subscription and holding the NFT will give you access to every film/series that has been uploaded onto the blockchain. The perks would mean that you could watch anything and nothing would be taken off like Netflix does right now.
@@georgeevans8021 Absolutely, to name a few that I am enjoying right now while holding NFTs for a few projects; IP rights, lifetime access to web3 blogging editor, staking NFT yielding token that I exchange for money (fiat), tracking tool gated by an NFT and that's just to name a few, there are ones up & coming such as NFT that yields you token by jogging & running or there's another one I came across for cycling and doing IRL tasks, heck there's a mapping service right now that by holding their NFTs and installing a dash-cam on your car you will get tokens that are exchangeable for fiat.
So, folks, art is just one side, NFTs technology, and digital ownership are far more than just art.
Make up your mind, DYOR, and follow founders & communities, not hype.

@@stevenbuth8530 Alright now you sound smarter than I am and know a lot. Good for you, I will keep counting my free money from staked NFTs while you go around talking like you know better than others by bringing them down :)
VERY nicely said bro...
I don't agree with what you said about the NFT gaming utility. While right now most play-to-earn games are basically smart Ponzi schemes (It's hard to make a p2e game that isn't. Trust me, we tried to design one), there are games like Sandbox or Decentraland where you benefit from your items being NFTs. (While not sure about these ones, In games like those anyone/everyone could theoretically start running the game if servers went down)
Also, there is a place for NFTs as game cosmetics, I would love my CSGO skins to be NFTs, right now you just don't know what restrictions will Valve roll out or if you are going to get banned for no reason and lose them. (Also being limited by 7 trade ban).
Finally, transaction costs are no problem with layer 2 solutions.
Edit:
The only way we found for a play to earn games to not be Ponzi schemes is to have a free economy with some form of finite resources and earning being based on getting
"money" from other players (in exchange for something you collect or whatever). The reason play to earn games like Axie Infinity, based on getting money from the game itself, can't work long term is that everyone just wants to get money out but no one wants to put money in (except the first purchase to get in the game). You can't just create money out of thin air and give it to everyone. It needs new players and regulations from developers to work.
If your skins were NFTs, valve could ban the skins. They run the game after all.
@@TeleportRush that makes no sense at all they wouldn't of allowed NFT integration in the first place
@@crispyasfuck2856 I mean, valve doesn't allow NFT integration in the first place, but I meant more of "When we ban the user, we also ban the Non-fungible Tokens they possess in their wallet from the system". It's 100% something a company can do, that they could only be held responsible for if the legal system would prevent them, and it hasn't really prevented that in the case of microtransactions thus far.
Decentralization (the key point of crypto and nfts) doesn't work in a game that a single company controls, because it's centralized
If you're running a game you don't need to use NFT's because you can just tie in-game items to the account
Biaheza, posting a 0$ budget video, ans still manages it to be mad interesting, great work
" it do go down!" LOL the dude in the boat.
Perfect editing like always haha.
So I'm pro NFT, but I agree with many of the points in this video.
Because there are so many projects that lack the 2 fundamentals that give NFTs value (collectability and utility), all of the novelty around the technology has lead us to see moonshot prices that just won't be able to sustain itself in the long term. I think the whole NFT industry is at risk unless projects start turning the tables and innovating ways to utilise the smart contract. Regulation is going to bite us and can lead to mass unpopularity making innovation very hard... a spiraling cycle. I feel that the solution is to build out the platforms that let us enjoy the usecases (social media x nft marketplaces like I'm building, metaverse ecosystems like Facebook is building) and ramp up the public adoption. The NFT bubble bursting can be healthy or detrimental. Healthy if it helps educate people about the danger of rug-pulls and to allow the novelty to wear off, leading to greater effort being required as a creator in order to sell out. Detrimental if the public sides with regulatory bodies in putting heavy restrictions on the industry as a whole.
What made you a Pro NFT?
YES I AM SO HAPPY THAT PEOPLE ARENT BLOWING MILLIONS FOR A JPG IMAGE! Everyone’s finally waking up and coming back to the real world. The metaverse wont last long either
There was an Launch yesterday from an new Project with an proven Team. They minted at 2,5E (7,5K $). The Floorprice is 17E (51K $) and they have an traded Volume of 210 million Dollar :) Welcome to the new world
I think it will be at least 5-10 years before NFTs really have a use case. The concept is novel but until Blockchain sees wider adoption and gas prices come down there's not a point they serve that doesn't already exist.
4:34 editing in pirate bay for game distribution on the down low was hilarious 😂
First time I gotta disagree with you man. In my opinion, I think that lots of collections started manipulating this niche, by making fake promises and clickbaiting the beginner investors that wanna make legitimate money and those people that don't even know what they're diving into. I think that this niche will be developed furthermore to a safer and stabilized level. These nfts, if they get used right and have an honest and great team behind it, then it's gonna become a more stabilized niche.
Now beside that, I really love what you are putting out there, thanks for sharing such amazing videos. Keep up the awesome work!😎🙌🏼
Yeah but NFTs are still worthless and useless tho…
Kudos to people who believe in crypto and never in NFTs😇

Not all NFTs are on ETH, gas fees for gaming... just does not apply... NFTs in games are actually a way to empower the gamer and take away from the company taking all the profits, most people dont understand this. I can agree that many current games aren't great, but many games are coming that will change that.
Wont list any so I don't sound like a shill...
next, SEC is a big joke, "protecting" the consumer is something they have rarely ever done.... biggest example recently is them not allowing users to earn interest on Celsius,,, only users with networth above 1 M and 250 annual income allowed.... seems like just screwing the little buy again...
Again I think you are focusing on mostly the ETH NFTs and the work there, while there are many other projects elsewhere doing great work...
"next, SEC is a big joke, "protecting" the consumer is something they have rarely ever done" they didn't protect consumers when filing suit against XRP which has been ongoing for years now. When they filed suit the price plummeted and knocked XRP from 3rd highest crypto and tons of those "sec protected" consumers lost tons of money.... thanks SEC.
