Mike, you are the only Reactor that is worthy to do George Strait. King George deserves the respect that you show; you get it, you understand. Great Reaction as usual.
George Strait was the first real date my wife and I had. Imagine a mixed couple at his concert in the early 90s. No one even cared because he draws people who have class. He’s one of the classiest artists in history IMO.
I was him in concert and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. All he did was stand in front of the mic, play his guitar and sing. Flashy shows can be a lot of fun but there's something iconic and lasting about an artist that can make simple so dang good. Long live King George and long may he reign.
You said the very words I was thinking. King George he may be to us, up on a pedestal of greatness. But George himself has never been a boastful person, quite the opposite as you said, a very humble man. I have never heard or read a negative thing about him. He's definitely country royalty! ❤
He said the biggest regret of his career is that he didn't write more early in his career. Dean Dillon said he knew George could write if he chose to cause he was so great at picking songs.
One of my favorite Country Stars! He sits a saddle very nice. So smooth on a horse...naturally just like him. And you are absolutely right either you have it or you don't! George Strait has it and he is very humble. Thanks for reacting!
When he was honored as artist of the decade Leann Womack wrote a song that sums up how a lot of his fans and contemporary country artists see him called Just Stand There and Sing. My favorite song of his I’d Baby Blue he has said it reminds him of his daughter who died at age 13.
He is in the movie Pure Country and when I got married my wife and I danced our first dance to the main song from the movie I Cross My Heart 26 yrs later we still take a spin to this song from time to time.
I have been a huge George Strait fan since June 1985; we both reside right here in San Antonio, TX. Played golf at his golf course. He is one of the greatest country singers in my lifetime. Pure Country!!!
George Strait is definitely the king of country, love all of his songs. He is a full true country man. This song made me think of my dad, may he rest in peace.
Love seeing people discover and appreciate King George. He is a truly awesome man. Eloped with his HS sweetheart, been married over 50 years. Served 4 years in the army, got out as a Corporal. Had a daughter while in the army & she was tragically killed in a car accident at age 13. They also have a son. George got a degree in agriculture when he got out of the army & has been playing music since he was doing Beatles' tunes with his garage band in high school. A gentleman, a real cowboy, an amazingly talented artist, a wonderful husband & father & a philanthropist. A true renaissance man.
George Straight is a real cowboy. Works is ranch when he is home, rides his horse, and lives the country life. He just happens to be a pretty damn good singer too.
Troubadors were sent out to deliver the news in a time when there was no printed word (newspaper). Around the time of the Roman Empire. The way they remembered the news was to memorize it as a song. The dressed in colorful clothes to be recognized when they came to town.
George Strait is like the constant in this human experiment. A lot of people want to change this and that but he's good right where he is doing the same ole thing, because some things always work.
Great song and comments/reaction. He had major tragedy during that time, the loss of his young daughter. But he kept on through it, he is a humble and kind person. Thanks for all the songs, genres and reactions, love your channel.
I've watched so many reaction videos but I have never come across anyone like you who REALLY gets the song you are reacting too. I will be watching all of your videos.
Sometimes I cry when I listen to this song. Because you're right he is very humble. I can't imagine what it must feel like to pour your heart and soul into songs. Then wonder if you'll be remembered when you're gone. He's one of a kind
Great song and performance. George is the man. One of his best skills is choosing songs. He has sold over 100 million albums. He also set the record for biggest indoor concert crowd back in (I think 2014) when he drew over 100,000 people to a concert. George did compete in rodeo, but not as a bull rider. He competed in roping and occasionally still does in charity events etc. Great reactions. Stay safe and well.
Try his song You'll Be There, he recorded it as a tribute to his daughter who passed away in the 80's in a car accident. It is also said but never confirmed he recorded the song Baby Blue with her in mind
As some others have said, George is not a bull rider, he is a team roper. He even hosts one of the biggest team roping competitions every year at his ranch.
A very thoughtful reaction DramaSydE. This might be my favorite George Strait song...the words are poetry. The song and video are so simple yet so deep. Thanks.
All his songs are wonderful. Two of his most emotional songs are You’ll be there for his daughter that passed away and I believe he wrote that one after the Sandy Hook shooting.
Amen, brother! I hope he is around for many, many more yrs. I have followed him since he first appeared on the scene. Check out his movie, "Pure Country".
I was really surprised by this song when it first came out. I first got into country music back in the early 90s, and even way back then George Strait was considered a living legend. Then, something like a decade and a half later, he comes out with *this?* It almost feels to me like after everything, he's still unsure if he's even accomplished anything.
Love your reaction to this song. I've bought only one artist's box set of country music; that's "Straight Out of the Box", a four CD plus booklet of George's songs. I've listened to those CDs a good number of times.
To the best of my knowledge, George Strait was not a bull rider. I know that he was a competitive team roper in his days. I was fortunate to see him live twice. Once in Austin, TX in the early nineties and once in Fargo, ND in 2010 or 2011. Amazing concerts.
I love that, as much as it sucks to admit, this homie doesn't do the shuck and jive of the other brothers and sisters who think they can just score subs by talking for 2 - 3 minutes at the start without context. This dude delivered straight facts. Once he spits those facts... He starts the song.
I absolutely love your honest reactions. I would like to suggest a video/song called Uneasy from a band called One Less Reason. Much love man keep up the good work
Mike, you are the only Reactor that is worthy to do George Strait. King George deserves the respect that you show; you get it, you understand. Great Reaction as usual.
Thank you
It doesn’t get any better than King George!! It’s a huge accomplishment making A number one hit, so I cannot imagine 70 plus of them! Simply the best.
George Strait was the first real date my wife and I had. Imagine a mixed couple at his concert in the early 90s. No one even cared because he draws people who have class. He’s one of the classiest artists in history IMO.
This song just proves why he is the called the king of country.
It's an incredible voice. George has throat
I can't argue that, but my wife & I always always argue about who is better, George Strait or Alan Jackson. I can't help it. I'm an Alan Jackson guy.
Amen! ♥️
@@WingedSumac AJ IS AMAZING! but you have to admit, buy the numbers George is the King, I fucking love both!
He’s not a bull rider, he’s a roper. And a dang good one. My family is a rodeo family. Every weekend of our lives. Love this guy.
He's a real cowboy!
He’s just the best. The older he gets the more handsome he gets and his songs are timeless. He’s pure class.
His career is LEGENDARY by ANY standard. He's THAT DAMN GOOD
The mirror analogy is timeless
I was him in concert and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. All he did was stand in front of the mic, play his guitar and sing. Love that you’re understanding George so we’ll!
Back in 1981 I was a young women when I first heard George Strait. Now I’m 66 and I still love George Strait. We both get better with age.❤️
You said the very words I was thinking. King George he may be to us, up on a pedestal of greatness. But George himself has never been a boastful person, quite the opposite as you said, a very humble man. I have never heard or read a negative thing about him. He's definitely country royalty! ❤
Although George is not a songwriter, he is very picky about the songs he records. They must “fit him”.
He caught the writing bug when his son started writing and getting into music, so he has written a lot more songs in the last decade.
@@SouthernScarlettASMR True, but he still chuckles and says “I can’t write worth a darn” Love this man.
He said the biggest regret of his career is that he didn't write more early in his career. Dean Dillon said he knew George could write if he chose to cause he was so great at picking songs.
GEORGE STRAIT IS A VERY HUMBLE MAN TY
This man is a king and humble
Elvis, Stevie Ray and George Strait. What more could an American ask.
A cowboy singer...a troubadour. He wrote very few songs but could sing the hell out of the ones he chose. Thank you for showcasing him brother! ❤️
Love that man and his voice. That pic of him and his daughter sitting at the piano choked me up. She looked about the age that she died.

So glad I took advantage of the opportunity to see him perform LIVE when I did.
He was in his prime and it was OUTSTANDING!
I know the songs, heard them hundreds of times. Still somehow gives me goosebumps
He’s the king of country with over 60 number one hits
Love a storyteller who takes you with him!
He's both well respected and still underrated. He's an amazing singer
George Strait is a class A storyteller. "Troubadour" indeed! Thanks for this reaction!
Its amazing and baffling to think if you played all his #1 songs back to back it would take over 3 hrs to get through em all!
George Strait is definitely the king of country, love all of his songs. He is a full true country man. This song made me think of my dad, may he rest in peace.
Great reaction! Made me realize how much I’ve taken George for granted since we’ve come to expect the best from him.
Long Live King George
Wow..I have heard this song a thousand times and never knew the meaning...love your reaction...thanks..

Long live the king!

I'm late to the reaction but he was a Team Roper and a "Header". Love the song and great reaction and respect.
#CREEKSQUAD 🤙🏽
Best reaction channel I've ever watched. You do and know your research and are up with the times and music. Much respect to you my friend.
George Strait is one of the legends of music.
Your breakdowns of musicians and their music are spot on...I love watching you...keep them coming in with great reviews.

George Strait has the most number one hits in the history of written music period..... 60 chart topping number one hits..
King George knows how to tell a story. He is one of the best. He has a song called Baby Blue and it is my favorite!
Try his song You'll Be There, he recorded it as a tribute to his daughter who passed away in the 80's in a car accident. It is also said but never confirmed he recorded the song Baby Blue with her in mind
It moves you and touch’s your soul 💯
Wonderful reaction. Love this song and George strait. Love mentioning the writer as well
Thank you for reacting to one of my favorite singers and song
The lyrics regarding the mirror and what it shows......wow! Great song and your appreciation of his music is obvious and heartfelt. 👏👏
George is a champion calf roper. He sponsors a competition in TX every yr. His son is also a champion roper.
I’m here watching again because I love your take. Thanks.
He may not write all his song's but he delivers like no other country artist does song after song.
He is wonderful, always has been, I am sure, always will be. The song is him. Thank you so much for your reaction

YES to all.
Loved this! You would probably really like Amarillo by Morning and I Can Still Make Cheyenne, also by George Strait.
Great choice and reaction. My next suggestion would probably be Amarillo by Morning Live from the Astrodome
