Say Adam, any chance you can show us the abandoned landing site on the Moon? If you could show us the lunar rover, the foot prints of Niel Armstrong, and the American flag, that would be great!

There is a museum in Starke, FL that has the only remaining External Tank from the Space Shuttle program, and it is a two hour drive from Kennedy. I am also surprised that they don't allow tours over to CCAFS any more, I was lucky enough to see New Horizons at the pad before it left earth. I need to go back!

I worked @ KSC for 22 yrs (88-00) but haven't been back out there. I knew Spacex took over 39A, but not sure what is going on at 39B. I still live in the area and see some of my old co-workers from time to time. Many are retired (like me) but it's been a tough road for many since end of shuttle. They didn't keep very many of the old workforce. Spacex is probably the biggest employer out there now, but Blue Origin is another private company that now is largely in West Texas, but set to come to KSC. In your video near the end where you were where the Saturn 5 rocket was, that used to be outside at the area where you stopped and were laying on the portion of the flag painted on the concrete. It was there many yrs, but was getting in bad shape from the elements. They built that facility where it is now and moved it there and restored it cosmetically. Great stuff, I miss being out there sometimes. We used to joke around that after we retired would get a job at the visitor complex as a tourguide! I didn't recognize your driver tho Lol..........

Dear Adamthewoo, I live near Cherokee NC, right on the NC and TN border. I know you've explored Dollywood already but I was wondering if you might be interested in a trip back up here for one of the jewel roadside attractions of NC that is so bad its good, Santaland. It is closed for the winter because of course Santa needs that time away but once it opens I'd be so glad if you could come see this treasure. I also was wondering if you might want to see the expansions that Dollywood has had from your last visit. I'm willing to offer myself as tour guide as I am a season pass holder and have been going to Dollywood since I was 6. (sorry I don't know how to use youtube private messaging)

Great video as always, but I feel NASA makes its visitor center (what you showed us before lunch) about as interesting as a local carnival. One could have a better time with rides at Disneyland, sadly. When you stepped into and filmed "the vehicles" I was reminded more of those old kiddie rides you used to find outside of local grocery stores. Weeee!! Where do you put your quarter?

The last time I was here was in 1989 (I believe), a few days before a shuttle launch. We were lucky enough to be witness to the platform that moved the shuttle from the prep building to the launch pad. Had I known that years later they'd discontinue the shuttle program I'd have made sure to do a lot more to capture it. It was an amazing experience, even at 2mph.

Asked him for his job description (since he is now retired and much older) and this is what he told me: I tore this place apart looking for an old resume, which would have the precise title, only to discover, that it must be in my old samsonite briefcase in storage. I do remember that, the title was rather long and not accurately describing all we did. We were the ones totally responsible for the shuttle from the second it lands till it's next launch. We even did the upright mating to the external tank and and putting it on the back of a 747 for transport to the east coast. That's still not all, but about as accurate as my old mind can remember

The walkway is still there, that's such a cool piece. That's pretty cool lunch with an actual astronaut, one thing I miss is seeing the Shuttle launches they were so cool. It looks like you did roughly the same tour I did when I visited NASA back in 2002. Nothing can set your mind for just how big that rocket truly is, pictures don't do it justice. If that was Endeavour or Enterprise I'd be happy as anything.

The tour there takes you to the current Mission Control as well as the Apollo Mission Control (at least it was still there when I went as a kid 15 years ago) right across the hall, preserved in all it's 1960's tech glory . . . and of course the training facilities.

+Scooter Scooter U make use of satellites when u use internet the telephone or when u watch tv or when u use gps. Those satellites were launched in earth orbit with rockets. and their orbital decay needs to be constantly compensated for with smaller rockets on the satellites itself So just by power of deduction rocketry can function in a vacuum because u make use of that technology..
