Why are those the hardest ? Trapped room is easy, there are much harder encounters on stage 7. And I think the Dragon and the flying alien thing are the hardest of the endgame bosses.
Man,the game, literally tells you to don't do anything;if toast is one first that beat this boss it doesn't mean that he is a genius, it means that the average player of hearthstone can't read.
Minueling Hex That'true but, but if the game tells you to do not touch anything you should pay attention to that;obviously I'm not pretending that every player should beat this boss at first shot, because it's impossible.

Darkxification if he actually didn’t ‘touch anything’ and didn’t play frost bolt he would have lost. If the ai had counter spell or spellbinder he would also have lost. So basically you just have to hope the ai gets bad secrets and doesn’t draw any big minions in the first few turns.

One run I had that combo and I was so happy. But then I fought the guy with double deathrattles, he somehow pulled out wax rager out of my deck (1/1 priest card I think?) and beat the shit out of me with it :/
If you say so. Plenty of people beat this boss consistently. RNG plays a factor in all of Hearthstone, but overall you should come out ahead if you pulled a good team up to the point you face it. You probably just suck at the game if you see it as unwinnable.
He said "unwinnable scenario" referring to the scenario he described, not the boss in general. You probably just suck at reading if you thought he meant the boss in general.
Basic tactic which works for all decks, is to stuck to one move, and don't do anything else. After 1 or 2 turns his secrets are poluted. As a mage I only played spells, which made sure I didn't trigger any of his traps after those you mentioned. I kept all my minions in my hand until I had plenty of removal.
Dylan Wagenknecht okay but if they have counterspell Mana bind cat trick, you're dead, it's not easy at all, and basically relies on rng, if you took double health you'll probably be fine, but it's still a boss that cant be beaten unless rng favors you
The best counter to Azari is to big hand warlock along with the ring to make your hero power take no hp, and cost one mana. You get 2 cards a turn and with big hand you tend to get cards that let you lower the cost of your deck either from tapping or in your hand. Letting you get early pressure and beating Azari with more stuff. Upping Azari's minion cost and wishing is also good ways to really go well fighting Azari. With other decks I have yet to beat Azari well with them.
there is an interaction in kobolds and catacombs dungeon run. when you fight against wax master sturmi. when you play royal sidekick and wasmaxter uses her hp to copy sidekick sidekick will say "sry for my betrayal"
A thing I've noticed is that the new Mage secret that deals 6 damage and any excess to the hero works in a way which doesn't seem intended. If the minion has already taken lethal damage (because of another secret, for example) and is at negative health, your hero will take more than six damage. I've taken ten damage 'cause my minion was at -4 health from a previous secret.
One of the dungeon bosses has the mediv spells from the karazahn prologue, and they summoned rin the first decipal followed by the spell that makes all cards cost 0

Because a card you're playing isn't damaging you with its effect. You play Bloodbloom by paying mana: take no damage. You play the 2nd card by paying life: card effect resolves.

@Joseph Blizzard is 100% the type of company that would design an entire mechanic of a dungeon, boss fight, game, etc. around a movie trope or quote... dude... if i have to chosse between a sentient toast that playes hearthstone, and a normal human girl, then there really aren't many things to consider...
I am 2/8 VS trapped room give or take. I one once without milling the Trapped Room! However I draw like 2 treasure items at the beginning of match. And I still only won with like 3 Health Left. Then one time I beat trapped room the milling way. But ultimately this boss is VERY difficult. You can't mill the boss unless your lucky! If he ends up drawing his minions first it's basically GG. So well done Toast!
I like how they're talking about how impossible it is to beat the trap room, when all you need to do is skip a few turns, wait until they play the 7/7, and kill it. After that, it's just knowing traps and managing them well. You don't need to fatigue it to win.
Oh, it was definitely the best way to do it once you realize they will fatigue first, but the commentators seemed to think the encounter is impossible, which is silly.
I completely agree. It's a wonder how the people commenting these things actually know so little about what they are talking about. When it comes to commentating card games, I personally consider that the example to follow is that of the Magic: the Gathering event commentators. They understand what's going on and they (usually) make more on point comments on the plays(though I haven't watched the stream of the events for the past few years so I don't know if the quality of the commentating has dropped). Though at the same time, the ones who are doing it for MtG have been doing it for way over a decade now, so they've got the knowledge and experience with them.
Oh, and one more thing, I feel that them saying that the encounter is normally impossible is actually downplaying what Toast has done. After all, if it's impossible to do it normally, it means that you have to break it down like Toast did and win by fatigue, which in turn means that everyone who has ever won against this boss has done it like Toast did, and this only makes what Toast did appear as normal. Then, there's also the contradiction of them not having expected Toast to do it like that, and them at first only referring to the boss as being very difficult, thus expecting it to be possible to beat. But considering how they later talked about it in the video, it seems like they assumed it was beatable at first while not knowing how to do it, which led to them saying it was impossible to beat without fatigue, which is ridiculous.
>and kill it lol. Just kill it? Really. Oh so easy. =D This room can snowball AF if u triggered any secret when trying to kill 7/7, only luck matter when u cast something into.
Except he could have gotten snowballed out of control if it was the many spell countering secrets and cat trap. There's a secret for everything and he can play minions, this is entirely on RNG until the point where you know it's safe to play spells/minions, wipe their board, then fatigue.
i beat the trap room on my first try with a control dragon warrior, definitely one of the trickiest bosses i've come across.. you just keep triggering his secrets then clearing the 3/3's until he's in top deck mode then you win, i imagine it being an impossible match up for aggro decks though.
the text doesn't refer to it as how you're supposed to beat cause I doubt the creators wanted such a bland run through the dungeon I personally don't think it has to do with anything on how to beat just telling you that more like be careful on what u do
Billdow00 Calm down dude. It's only been like 4 days, and I think it's reasonable for a commentator to have done fewer than 10 runs at this point. In a month or two, I'll agree with you; by then, commentators should have experience with all of the treasures.
also having beat the Trapped Room (without this strategy :/) The Difference Between 170 IQ and 200 Is amazing. I worked around every problem as it came at me and he Literary Just avoided all the work lol what a bad ass.
One run I added 1/1 extra poisonous minion, but never, ever drew it to kill enemy boss, FeelsBadMan. You need Amulet of Domination(?) and you to need encounter that Druid legendary card Boss.
That boss is literally about not doing anything until you have to or until you're ready to deal with the 3/3s. If you start doing things turn 1 or 2, you're screwed. If they have an Etherial Arcanist and you can't get rid of it or they counter your removal, you might also lose. Otherwise, that boss is a pushover. You don't even have to go to fatigue. By turn 4, most decks will already have the tools to deal with the 3/3s and can start playing normally and just beat the boss like normal with minions. Good design by Blizzard, you have to intelligently navigate your way through the trapped room instead of just hur-dur curving your plays as you draw them. Fits the flavour.
Against the guy with the 15/5 statues, you can glitch the game by playing a taunt when he's on 5 mana. Apparently his silenced 15/5 minions don't attack into taunts. I'm glad I didn't press concede or else I would have not known about this. I mean, the guy literally had lethal on the board but decided that my 30 health and my 6 health taunt were too much for 4 15/5 minions.
lol I figured this out at the end of my first frustrating attempt, after it was too late to realize I was killing myself. I'm surprised anyone, especially a pro, takes past one encounter to catch on to that.
so i was playing witchwood and i came across the one card that says “hah this guys toast” and i was like heyy i knoe this from somewhere and i was like that’s cool
that was the only time i saw azari lose to a player. that was actually super exciting to see. the secret room seems rare since i have never found one yet but that was intreting to see as well.

But considering how they later talked about it in the video, it seems like they assumed it was beatable at first while not knowing how to do it, which led to them saying it was impossible to beat without fatigue, which is ridiculous.
>and kill it
lol. Just kill it? Really. Oh so easy. =D This room can snowball AF if u triggered any secret when trying to kill 7/7, only luck matter when u cast something into.
when blizzard suggest you not to touch anything and you follow their advice
savage toast really liked this video
Trapped room sucks..
> just play around secrets
Nice joke
"Don't touch anything" ...soo true
Theyre kind of exaggerating with that trapped room thing its pretty easy
Depends on the starting secrets
BunchOfCunts I beat it second time seeing it by doing the same thing as toast
I didn't know it can just be milled, I've been beating it by playing it out, the 3/3 minions weren't scary for the decks I faced trapped room with.
Except he could have gotten snowballed out of control if it was the many spell countering secrets and cat trap. There's a secret for everything and he can play minions, this is entirely on RNG until the point where you know it's safe to play spells/minions, wipe their board, then fatigue.
Madaggar it legit tells you not to touch anything
I love the lady's accent. my step-grand-mother spoke exactly like that.
Who is this girl?
Just watched my first toast vid yesterday and it was cool. Watching him mill a boss, way better. Subscribed.
Hi toast
Why are you still here? You got nerfed!
i beat the trap room on my first try with a control dragon warrior, definitely one of the trickiest bosses i've come across.. you just keep triggering his secrets then clearing the 3/3's until he's in top deck mode then you win, i imagine it being an impossible match up for aggro decks though.
Not to be THAT guy, but was this really that hard to figure out? The description of the boss literally tells you to not touch anything...
Lalga Lala Toast did touch something though...
I beat it just by playing against it. I don't even think you're meant to fatigue it
Raphael __ i fatigued it😂
the text doesn't refer to it as how you're supposed to beat cause I doubt the creators wanted such a bland run through the dungeon I personally don't think it has to do with anything on how to beat just telling you that more like be careful on what u do
I do like the secret room is like playing against a Secret hunter :) (Or atleast that one I built)
0:54 Gotta deliver them pizzas...
?!?!?!?! these Announcers suck at hearthstone lol hasn't played around with Robe of the magi ?!?!?!!? Do you even Dungeon run bro?
I don't get the problem?
The announcer that said that just probably never got offered it/never picked it in the runs they've done so far
Evelyn Schlick Its one of the best. Especially if your not a mage lol. Most the things they call are wrong lol. he's like gg toats lost.
Billdow00
Calm down dude. It's only been like 4 days, and I think it's reasonable for a commentator to have done fewer than 10 runs at this point. In a month or two, I'll agree with you; by then, commentators should have experience with all of the treasures.
I was just jk. but it feels good to be on the other side. I have an extinctive history of making mistakes in hearthstone.
also having beat the Trapped Room (without this strategy :/) The Difference Between 170 IQ and 200 Is amazing. I worked around every problem as it came at me and he Literary Just avoided all the work lol what a bad ass.
When you enter the trapped room the adventure's narrator does tell you "Don't touch anything" so I feel like this has to be the intended method
200IQ chinese worker playing vs 0IQ bot and is proud of it
"Here's the play of the game, let's focus on the vegemite cookie!"
A+ directing.
its a video game whocares? why would they be so serious?
That trapped room cheese. I love it
One run I added 1/1 extra poisonous minion, but never, ever drew it to kill enemy boss, FeelsBadMan.
WAIT A SEC ! So all I needed to do was sit back and keep passing !? Really... Thanks Toast, you're great
3:42 like a boss^^
Against the guy with the 15/5 statues, you can glitch the game by playing a taunt when he's on 5 mana. Apparently his silenced 15/5 minions don't attack into taunts. I'm glad I didn't press concede or else I would have not known about this. I mean, the guy literally had lethal on the board but decided that my 30 health and my 6 health taunt were too much for 4 15/5 minions.
"The Malganis there is really strong"
> Literally dies a second after he says that
200IQ? A quaint time before Among Us
lol I figured this out at the end of my first frustrating attempt, after it was too late to realize I was killing myself.
I'm surprised anyone, especially a pro, takes past one encounter to catch on to that.
A great dungeon run I had was having that 5 cost thing as druid with anivia and a mass load of crazy 8, 9 and 10 drops
3 ysharj's were part of that XD
Pulling a resident sleeper on the Innvitational like a boss :P
so i was playing witchwood and i came across the one card that says “hah this guys toast” and i was like heyy i knoe this from somewhere and i was like that’s cool
LOOK AT THAT APM!
that was the only time i saw azari lose to a player. that was actually super exciting to see. the secret room seems rare since i have never found one yet but that was intreting to see as well.
Thanks for this video I got through the Trapped Room...... First Try..
Trapped room..my turn two resulted me with 1 voidwaker, him with 3 buzzsaws, 1 cobra, 3 snakes.
