All these years, and all his 'weird interactions' videos, and Toast still expects consistent behavior in card interactions. It's very cute.

TehSovereign 0 attack minions can *never* attack and yet they attack because of that card. Minions that were played on the turn you play it also shouldn‘t be able to attack and yet they do. I don’t see why frozen minions should be an exception.
@@baldawen That's a good point, but my mind was stuck on the whole frozen minions miss their next attack thing (Like if you freeze a friendly minion ready to attack, before it attacks, you can attack with that minion the next turn). I thought that mass hysteria would just unfreeze the frozen stuff.

My favourite is the warlock one that deals damage to the enemy on your turn if you take damage and the paladin one that hits you for 5 every time they take damage. If the warlock one takes damage on their turn it creates an infinite loop until the paladin dies

Or when you reach fatigue with War Druid LoTi (the last boss). You have 2 Ysera with full health on board, and she only have Astral Tiger. Boom, she open the Ungoro Pack and play Sunkeeper Tarim.
Well when 0-attack minions can start attacking with Mass Hysteria, I guess frozen ones can do too.... (Shrug)

You can use frostmourn to gain a copy of the enemy shrine.
I also had the priest enemy use Holy Water to steal a copy of my shrine.
Priests can get them really easily with convert/seance/holy water, too.
on my Priest run I got 5 copies of my shrine that gives you random priest spell. It wasn't as OP as I thought it would be.
@@loganreed23 so did I and mine also had deathrattle: cards in your hand cost (2) less.
Since the enemy would constantly try to kill all shrines, I always had a hand full of 0 mana spells.

With the talanji interaction experiment, it wasn't people questioning what the interaction should be, it was people questioning whether blizzard correctly programmed it.

Thats why the shaman battlecry shrine is actually viable. I somehow managed to make multiple copies and then played Yogg which activated a total of 5 times, it was great.

Hey Toast! At 06:04 the deathrattle triggers twice because of order placement. Same goes with Rivendare: If he is summoned first, then a deathrattle minion is summoned and they both die to one effect then they die by order of placement. So first Rivendare dies and then the deathrattle minion. If you summon the deathrattle minion first and Rivendare after, then the deathrattle minion dies first, triggering the effect twice before Rivendare dies. It's like with Vanish: If you have 9 cards in your hand and 4 minions on board. The minion that got placed on the board first will be put back on your hand and the rest dies.
If you death grip a minion stolen by death grip will Thalanji pull it from your hand?
Death grip pulls from the deck and puts the card in hand, so you could not deathgrip the card, however you could deathgrip one of your cards shuffeled into your opponent's deck by psychic scream.
No. if the process did not include the word "a copy of" then it still started from you deck. it seems like card starts from your deck has internal ID, Thalanji's effect only check that ID.

If you upgrade the ,trigger two more times the deathrattle, with "give the minions in your deck +1/+1 when your shrine dies" it will actually trigger its own deathrattle 3 times, giving your entire deck +3/+3

That was kinda obvious to me though... that card physically started in your hand. It was not generated by another card or stolen. It is the same card that started in your hand, but it happened to get brought back to your hand. The fact still remains that it’s the exact same card that started in your hand
Mass hysteria makes frozen minions attack because of the word “force”
I found something broken as hell too, if you use the “spells cost 2 less” totem and you have unstable evolution, you can use it over and over again on every minion for no cost
I have the worst luck of any being to play Hearthstone. I had a combo with Kragwa’s Grace and Unstable Evolution where I was going to get a full board of 10 mana minions. First cast turned a minion into the mayor, my next casts were random and all hit the enemy minions, the next cast that actually hit my team hit my shrine. They broke my shrine. I lost. I also play battleground son hearthstone, and watched them snipe my warleaders 5 times in a row. I also have a tendency to fail 99/100 chances of success in games with gachas.

Here’s one probably obvious but still curious interaction. When warriors shrine with attack equal to armor attack while owner has 2 armor and triggers explosive trap and misdirection - it will have 0 attack but still gonna smack into a minion
Blizzard should add a PVP version of Rumble Run. It'd be really fun.

Betcha Piper, being based on a Satyr, was originally termed a demon, but that got peeled off to keep it from being too good in Zoolock. But then they never turned it back for Rastakhan's Rumble.

Didn't see it in this video, but one important interaction to note is that the Bwomsamdi's Covenant shrine (Healing enemies damages them instead) applies to BOTH players. I beat Talanji with a Crystalsmith Kangor + Forbidden Healing combo to hit her for 40 damage. Not sure if the Paladin or Shaman bots are smart enough to use it against you if you have that shrine though. Haven't gotten to test that yet.

Y'no, funny thing that happened once, Remember that one Shrine you said was OP? the one that dealt 5 damage to the enemy hero every time you took damage? Weeeell, when you put it up against the one that Deals damage that Went to you, to your enemy when it's your turn, they kiiiinda keep doing 5 damage back and forth, and the one with the OP shrine dies. Violently, i might add.
Feel like the frozen minions Mass Hysteria interaction was a bit obvious as the card says "Force each minion to attack another random minion", key word here being "force" this implies to me it overrides game mechanics like freeze, stealth and taunt, people know you can attack around a taunt minion with the card so why not frozen minions?

Frozen minions can't attack. That's the very definition of being frozen in Hearthstone game terms. But it's Blizz we're talking about.

resummoning a card is a new copy. bouncing a card is still the same card that started in your deck.
I think it's cause AB did start in your deck. But it was only put back from the board into your hand. Meaning that for AB to be summoned by Talanji, you would have put a copy of him in your hand... I think.
I had the shrine that makes spells cost two less and used unstable evolution to upgrade my minions to 10 drops

I use the mage shrine( the hero power cost 0 mana ). And most of the card I pick is inspire and some op cards. And I clear the run quite easily

Used druid one with +1 +1 to all minions to win
Facing against Malacrass (Mage) as the last boss using Bwonsamdi's Covenant (Healing into damage). He played Yogg-Saron, who instantly casted Tree of Life, which proceeded to one shot my board and my health pool. Too bad I didn't record it. Thanks Blizzard Mechanics!
I'm sorry, I have tried to actually find fun in Rumble Runs, but I think that Dungeon Runs and Monster Hunt are far better.
Each one has its strengths.
Rumble Run is random, but the playing field is kept consistently even between you and the opponent until the end, where you're both rocking cheats like bonus shrine passives or extra mana crystals at the start.
Monster Hunt is more structured and consistent, but it doesn't hold back even in the early stages, and it's not outside the realm of possibility to lose to the first boss just because of RNG.
Dungeon Run is the most chaotic, random and unforgiving one of all as there are so many variables that can screw you over with even a little bit of bad luck(especially with the card buckets...), but it goes easy on you for the first two or three rounds before the difficulty really starts to climb.

@@Brutalyte616 My problem is that you have little control over your choice of class. You get to pick, between three different class shrines (and almost invariably get the worst of the bunch) and then have to face the most broken possible combinations on the NPC side. If I could choose my class AND starting shrine, I think it would be a lot more interesting. You say that the playing field is kept more consistent, but that simply isn't the case. There are some absolutely garbage shrines with almost no HP, so they give you their benefits only once every 3 turns, while the NPC gets some of the high HP shrines allowing them to more consistently use their benefits.
Also, having to get into the first match and then quit just to refresh shrines kinda sucks.
while I can agree to most of what you said, looking purely on the hp of shrines to evaluate them is clearly wrong. The rogue shrine which steals cards is imho one of the best if not the best but it has the lowest hp count of 2.
@@Brutalyte616 but the difference is that, while you MAY get the cheese start for your shrine, your opponents WILL have it meaning if your deck is mediocre, you will likely lose, just based on the bucket RNG, which is bad design. At least with KoC, it felt like I had a chance later in the game bc of the treasures if I had a poor deck, here you dont get that. So if you mess up a choice, or dont get any good ones, you may get fucked later bc of it.

The Talanji interaction makes sense if you think of it in real card game terms. You played a card, then picked it back up, therefor it's still the same one you started with. If you generated a new one or copied it, you would have to grab a token/representative card from a sideboard, and it's definitely not the one you started with.
This analogy breaks down when you consider cards that interact with dead cards like Resurrect because Hearthstone's "graveyard" is inaccessible. Is the Resurrected card a copy of one in the graveyard or is it the original? In other card games you would physically remove the card from the graveyard and replay it. You can't interact with the graveyard, and you can double Resurrect a minion, so the real world equivalent means you need tokens. Also, that would allow you to bring back discarded or burned minions, which Hearthstone doesn't do. Discarding/burning in Hearthstone is like "Removed from play" or Exile (but without the even rarer cards that allow those to come back as well).
So if you start with a card, have it killed, resurrect it, then bounce it to hand, it will be a copy, and be affected by Talanji. I don't even play Hearthstone anymore why do I bother....?
surely, that is how it usually has to be all the times, clear cut.
The problem toast is adressing though is that blizzard isn't always that clear.
They tend to fuck up some interactions even though because of the wording it should work a certain way.
Hearthstone needs a set rulebook for the engine to follow so that these case-by-case arbitrary interactions aren't considered "features".
In Magic the Gathering, if a card/effect states an action can't be done and another says it can, the "no", or disabling one, always prevails (probably considering the design team doesn't want to create an infinite loop.) Frozen minions can't attack. Mass Hysteria forces minions to randomly attack each other. In Hearthstone, I have no idea whether frozen minions attacking is intended.
0 attack minions also attack when mass hysteria is cast. Neither make sense but I guess the card is consistent in letting minions which can't normally attack do so.

this man knows my pain for about five or six weeks I was playing that champagne and I'd always die to the pirate someway somehow I get stuck at some point and then I died and it was bull crap because every time every time I get really close to kick in ass the stupid pirate not even a pirate just every character would kill me maybe I just suck I don't know probably doesn't help that I don't play often all I know is while it is good practice it's a pain and yes I did win once

That hero disappearing glitch happened for the boss I was playing against. I had to start over the run because my opponent just wasnt there and i couldnt play anything to hurt him. My damage would go inbetween the creatures and no actually do any damage...but he could hurt me. So fu blizzard.
