Awesome review bro, enjoyed every second!😄I was blessed enough to find this board on a deal in a marketplace and I clicked buy so fast, I might need a new mouse. Thanks for cementing my confidence in the purchase. 👍
Great video and it influenced my purchase of the Aorus Z690 Master without reservation. Great job! One thing to note is that I personally see having the PCI 5.0 slot separated and not split is that the new Nvidia 4090 is only PCI 4.0 (shame on Nvidia) and half of that would make it PCI 3.0 X16 if I used the other slot ever (possible with water blocked video card).
This board has a weird form factor. Not a full blown E-ATX but it is somewhat wider than an ATX. Will it fit in a case that accepts ATX only? I've found a pretty decent deal on this board and it would suck if I have to get a new case just because of motherboard. Also, those VRM heatsinks, holy crap! Would I even be able to fit an air cooler for my CPU?
Hello.. top video merci ! Tu prendrais quoi pour un nouveau PC jeux? Cette Aorus Master ou la Asus strix f gaming que tu as aussi testé ? Ou alors peut-être une Msi MPG Carbon?
I'm on a z390 aorus ultra and wanting to upgrade to a 13700k. It's unfortunate that the z790 only one with a post code led screen, lol. Why have they taken that away from every board except the $500+ ones on the z790 boards? D:
Hello! Laurent, please give me an advise on pairing this GIGABYTE Z690 AORUS MASTER with i7-13700kf, would that be a good marriage??? I have read there are Z690 Asus board running i7-13700kf with only 40% of it's capacity......
Love Gigabyte! I have this board and I have to say it's great. But I wonder if it'll ever officially support ddr5 speeds past 6400-6600mhz / cl32 / 30 .. Otherwise I find it the most fun to overclock with Gigabyte. It might not be as in depth as some Asus boards, but I find Gigabyte far more stable overall
Thanks for this review. I've been eyeing this board for a couple weeks now. $299 USD is a total steal. I actually bought it yesterday. My only concern is what air cooler to use that has clearance over the heatsinks?
I enjoyed the presentation and information. I just keep thinking.... How many m.2 slots? 1, One m.2 slot.... 2, Two m.2 slots, ah ah ah! 3, Three beautiful m.2 slots Ah, Ah Ah! This review was brought to you by the number 5. Thanks Count!
well that's what the X670 series is supposed to do... but frankly, as I am wrapping up the reviewing of the PRIME X670-P, the Z670 AORUS MASTER looks even better than i thought.... go on my tweeter, you ll understand.
My handle is @laurentschoice. When I see what the X670 boards cost and provide, frankly talking... AMD is in trouble. Hope the other boards I receive will show a bit more that that.
@@Laurentschoice Yes I agree. Not to mention the cost of adding on the DDR5 and the cost of expo, a new cooler, and a new power supply and if it's an EATX mb now you need a new case also. I have an almost 12-year-old 980X computer that I'm about ready to upgrade. Looking at PCIe 4 benchmarks for the SSD drives seem to only be twice as fast as SATA that doesn't buy me a whole lot unless I now buy all new m.2 drives. So a decent setup for me is probably about two or three grand. Also I only use it for DAW recording with the Reaper app and for my file storage so I don't need anything for games but I do need very fast single thread and multi thread performance for managing 100 tracks and Reaper plus lots of plugins and the horsepower needed to render it all out with single threading. Maybe the B 650s will do what I need but I have yet to see all of the specs on the motherboards for that yet until they come out and I'd really like to continue to use my ATX case and not have to buy a new one. I have tested the PCI to PCIE adapter to use my RME 9652 audio board in the new computer and the adapter works in my current computer just fine and I expect it will work in the new one but if it doesn't then it's really a disaster.
Marketing stunts means they sell more boards than slightly cheaper prices at the premium level. Spending those 10 dollars on marketing without setting a higher price would still be worth it for them if it means selling a certain percent extra boards. Then again, it also makes some willing to pay 20 dollar more for it so it's hard to say what effect it had on the price for us.
I'm a Master giga FAN. I have used Master since the Z490, Z590 and now Z690. My fav board.
Are you gonna buy the Z790 too?
@@Outmind01 I'm debating that. I really like the easy GPU release button but may go with the Z790 Xtreme this time.
Love your enthusiasm and passion for tech! Great and helpful review as usual
Hello! This was an absolutely fantastic review, very funny and perfectly in depth with excellent enthusiasm when it was warranted. AWESOME JOB!!
Forgot to say: This is the best review of a motherboard I've ever come across. Well done.

Glad you're back and getting into the swing of things! I'm looking forward to your Zen4 / Raptor Lake mobo reviews.

Boards have become extremely expensive in the last few CPU generations. ASUS ROG HERO boards went from 380€ brand new to 600+€ brand new.
hey, can you do a review on the gigabyte z690 aorus ultra ddr5 review? thanks

MERCI !! 🙂
BRAVO !! 👍
I was considering a z790 board but this board at $300 is a must buy and it will support 13XXX series of processor.
But there's no PCIe5 on this board for m.2 storage right?
Nope
Does anyone know what the aorus z790 elite Ax VRM TWIN 16+2+1 mean ? Is the z790 elite Ax better then the Asus Rog z790G ?
Go watch my X670e aorus elite review. It has an identical vrm as the z790. I did a break down of it on the video
@@Laurentschoice legend thanks bro I'll go watch it now

Asus ROG MAXIMUS z690
Versus
GIGABYTE Z690 AORUS MASTER
Which is better with Core i9-12900k?
I don't know how they think they can charge us 200 more for the z790 version.

PLZ give me one !
I hate this motherboard. No ability to OC DDR5 above 4800Mhz.
More like nothing but usb issues
