Definitely a boat like Mikey suggested. Just the planning to make it water tight will be great content! Might want to try some of that spray can Flex Seal on the cardboard hull! 📦 🚤
If you remake this, you should use food service freezer boxes and the boxes they use to ship appliances. Alot of those boxes are double walled. Pretty much any box they ship heavy things in.
And don't forget tarps, Bill internal structure out of real 2-4 and the support from pallets then it'll be strong enough to live in, use tarps to cover it up, it'll last a really long time. I built my friend my that was homeless and sick one. It lasted until we got her into a place, about a year and a half. We then gave it to a older homeless gentleman. I don't know exactly how long he used it but a couple of years. I used really heavy duty shipping boxes. I got them the same place I did the pallets . The only thing I bought the two-by-fours or us the roof. You insulated with dirt. Most of the plastic I got from a construction site , So I didn't really use tarps but terps would work. I think the only thing that I spent money on what's a mattress, a chair, and a rug for the inside after we were finished with the outside.
I agree about using the heavier duty cardboard from freezers, and shipping of equipment. Also spray it with a water tight sealant. The rain will just roll off.
In the early 1970's as a kid I would use appliance boxes after we moved to build a multi-story dollhouse (curiously I wasn't interested in playing dolls, just building dollhouses/miniature houses). Complete with elevator, washing machine with agitating rotors, kitchen, etc. Just tape, cardboard and string! Fun! Whats funny is my Dad worked for Kenner Toys and its not like we didn't have toys to play with 😂
Maybe you should ask Kartent for help or tips on future cardboard projects. They make tents out of cardboard, strong enough to survive a festival. All waterproof, and recyclable. They also make furniture now, but it all started with the cardboard tents, so festivals would have an easier and cheaper way of cleaning up. Since many people just abandon their old, broken tents at festival sites so they won't have to deal with it themselves.
I never understood why something so strong as duct tape would come loose of of cardboard. Had it happen many times. Not when I build my own cardboard house of course. I've never done that, lol.
@@CorgiCorner the inside is fuzzy but the outside is slick. I believe most cardboard is usually coated in chemicals for numerous reasons which gives it this smooth finish.

I make cardboard furniture and I use wood glue to glue several layers of cardboard together. I let it sit overnight with something heavy to weigh it down to get a super tight hold and it will be very study and have some weight to it. I think it would work very good with your idea. There are sprays and solutions to make it waterproof. You can also then cover the cardboard with some paint, contact paper, epoxy, etc. to give it a little uplift. It would probably hold up pretty good and don't forget to pin it down to keep it from flying away in the wind. I might try this one myself. You have a good idea. It just needs some more perfection in the way to do it. Please try it again. .
This is fantastic content. I hope you make it, man. Well edited, excellent content, good storyline. Captivating, engaging. You've hit all the points. It's just a matter or time, buddy. keep going.
I'm starting to do a lot of arts and crafts projects like this for fun. What really helps in making everything super sturdy and long lasting is covering EVERYTHING with heavy duty gorilla glue black duct tape. A little more expensive than the grey ones you used, but they're totally worth it in the end!
I’ve never seen your channel before. After watching this video i already know that you will make it big! Your video and your channel is amazing! Keep up the good work, I hope to see you hella famous one day!

Bro the first 10 seconds make me hungry, and you just keep on delivering... dang bro... you gonna blow up if you keep this going. Seriously Epic. I'm blown away that this doesn't have 10x views.
"A good breeze will blow her over." Jk. That is so cool! All that diligence applied to working till the fininsh. Must feel rewarding after you were all done!
Back in the mid-1990's I saw an article in Mother Earth News magazine, it was titled "I live in a paper house". The guy built an onion shaped house out of triple-wall gaylord boxes. I modified his idea, I prefabricated two 19ft diameter yurts out of double-walled gaylord boxes. I painted the walls and roof with exterior paint and then used 90 pound rolled roofing on the roof. I erected the two yurts in late November of 1999, I sold the property in 2009, as far as I know the yurts are still standing!
What should I build next?!? 👇🏽
A yacht or pontoon boat

Don't forget flextape
Next time leave it in the garage. Weather proof!🤗
Also maybe use a tarp on outside of it for the siding

To make the walls better, you should use something like hydrophobic spray, it would protect it against rain, which was your issue at the start.
We've made a lot of cardboard forts before.. This is awesome!
Thanks dudes!!! My construction background definitely came in handy!

Because the cardboard isn’t textured enough for it to grip onto well.
@@rachelcookie321 yeah, that must be it
Hot glue is a much better alternative to duct tape when it comes to cardboard. One of the few times where using hot glue is the correct decision.
@@rachelcookie321 wouldn’t it be over textured? Cardboard is kinda fuzzy
