Central Serous Retinopathy: What it is and How it affects the eye | Treatment

Central Serious Retinopathy or CSR, is a condition in which the fluid collects under the macula, the central part of the retina responsible for sharp central vision.
This may cause blurring of vision or distortion of vision. This condition is common in young or middle-aged men. It is relatively a mild retinal disease with good results in most of the patients.
It is diagnosed by a retina examination and tests like OCT or Fluorescein Angiography. Most of the patients improve on their own in one to three months without any treatment. They are advised to avoid steroids and stress which may precipitate the disease. Retinal Laser to the leaking points can help to resolve the disease faster in some selected cases.

@@crickethighlightssmasher2209 No. You get black spots in your field of vision. I had this a couple years ago and thankfully they resolved without treatment in 4 weeks time.
