I loved that very short era too ( my late teens) --Rock'n'Roll had been played out after Elvis was seconded into the Army, and 'Pop' music was getting melodious and romantic. By the time of the Beatle explosion though, music had become too samey and soft for teens, and it was just right for another revolution---
