One of the things I love about this era of music. The ending of Unchained melody by the Righteous Brothers invokes that same magical feeling for me as this does. It’s one of the trademarks of this type of pop. 1955-1966 was like none other, shame I have only “lived” in that era sonically speaking.
This song is absolutely perfect, the way he sings, his voice, his facial expression he is truly mesmerizing to listen to. He aged well too, his voice is still amazing.

This was the l song that introduced me to the music of the 1940’s-1960’s. It was summer 2020. While hanging out with friends, this song played. I originally shrugged it off, but a couple days later when I was looking for music to do my chores to, I came across "Put Your Head On My Shoulder" again and decided to play it. It then took me to a 1940's-1960's playlist which I listened to and I've been hooked ever since! As the years went by, I started to become interested in the fashion and hairstyles of these decades and afterwards, the films and T.V shows. I'm now 17 and am OBSESSED with (mostly) the 1950's. I own a record player with 40+ vinyls of artists from those decades and I feel I've found my true, authentic self all thanks to this one song by Paul Anka. 🥰🥰🥰
What a timeless classic this song is so special in that it will simply never age. Paul was just breathtaking in this. Such phenomenal talent for someone so young at that time. We're so fortunate to see him gracing this very same youthful spirit on the stage even today. I absolutely adore him.
Dude for some reason its like old songs are much more ficking better than modern stuff nowadays, probably because of like the blending.of the background choir, or the orchestra, or something its just so perfect. Love it!
