Damn rest in peace Malcolm. I was able to briefly meet/hang out with him when I was with a small group of friends which included Sophia Kelly and then we went to go hang out with her sister Julia. I can’t tell you what a huge fucking shock it was when we got there and I saw Mac mother fucking Miller there and even though I was on the inside, I did not want to freak out and be that guy because I absolutely loved and still love his music so I kept having to tell myself to just act like I don’t know who he is at all. Honestly he was just a super down to earth guy who was beyond nice and really funny with 1 liners. I wish there was a way I could post a picture on here with this comment because LMFAO 🤣 at the end of the night when we were tipsy and about to leave, I asked him if I could get a picture with him so that I could show/prove to the other guys in my platoon and Mac goes “Oh hell yeah, you gotta hold me up though” and then he proceeded to jump on my back for a piggyback ride for this photo and afterwards he shook my hand and said “Thank you for your service and be safe. Make sure to pass that along to your other Marines too” Even though we only talked briefly for part of a night, he was honestly just a really nice, awesome, and friendly dude who was the type of person who could get along with basically anyone and he definitely is still missed to this day. Fuck fentanyl and booze
that's a great story, even greater coz it's another proof of how good of a person he is. dealers are one thing but those who willingly sell laced stuff are on a next level.
@@lucienpavone3443so many of us have said and done some questionable things growing up. I cringe at some of the things I thought was funny or cool in my 20s and even early 30s. What’s important is realize your mistakes, and to grow from it and be better.
yeah fr, he did/said some dumb shit in his 20s when he became famous, who wouldn't tbh. He's far better now and a kickass guitar player. Seems like a cool dude all around.
Last clip is from the celebration of life that they preformed for Mac back in 2018. Mac was going to start tour that fall, but sadly he had to leave us. Rest in peace. 🕊️🕊️
Everyone there showing off the great heights this musical god was able to take them too, then Rick Ross shows up with “I’m the shit… I’m constipated”?? What a guy, so embarrassing honestly as if his physical presence wasn’t disgusting enough.
@@Yinyankstankyou went? I was there and I don’t even remember Ross performing. Vibe was weird all night. But I did hear some of my favorite Mac songs of all time.
My 16 yr son is a huge Mac fan. He went to Pittsburgh for a memorial concert with my BiL, which was cool. I'm a big John Mayer fan since the beginning. However, I do appreciate Mac. His rap is different. I get the sense he understands music and theory. He has real instruments and musicians playing behind him. I didn't want to discount my boy's music just because it was new to me. I gave Mac a listen. He is is real. John and Mac seem like a weird combo, but if you know both artists work, it totally makes sense. BtW, my son loves John's work as well.

Swimming was such a good fucking album, I played it all summer 2019. I wasn’t even a huge Mac Miller fan before that, but it was such a good album, it like came out of nowhere to me. It’s such a shame that we’ll never get another project from him. RIP Mac
I know that was a special day! It would be amazing to see the two of them at work…when Mayer played that song at Mac’s funeral, the way he smiled when Mac’s voice came in to back him up, was a ray of sunshine on an otherwise dark ass day
John Mayer is slowly but surely becoming my favorite musician to ever live. Most people as good as him are either a bit stuck up like Clapton or completely shot out like Keith Richard’s. Good to see a great musician with a great mindset.
Absolutely Classy Sounds Great Didn’t Ask For Money Or To Be Even Recognized. shout out John for making that incredible guitar strum making it sound like modern blues

broo.. is your name Jimmy?\
That guitar lick is iconic. Now I know Mayer wrote it, makes total sense.
Like he did in some of Astroworld
Right when the guitar starts playing in the music, those who listen to John will know that’s him
He didnt write the guitar he literally palm muted two notes
@mariaeugeniamartins john didnt write the guitar he wrote two seconds of playing that went over the guitar
And on franks
Serving the song. The sign of a true musician.
That’s why he fit in so well in the dead scene
althea in sf this summer was insane
@@tomk169I swear his take on Althea is simply unmatched. He always understands the assignment!
This is so fucking sweet
When the stars align great moments like this occur. It was fate and destiny for both Mac Miller and John Mayer. What a beautiful moment
He's grown up so much and is a good person. He's always so generous with his talent to other musicians.
Mayer was so influential to pop. Everyone wanted quality songs like his
I never knew i could miss someone i never met as much as i miss mac.
Ditto my friend. I did get to visit his hometown though and basically did a self guided Mac tour through Pittsburgh using his songs as a map.
Same ❤
Robin Williams hits me hard too... ❤
@@DevonCrowell so dope
I miss juice and X & peep

I had no idea John played that 🤯 one of the best albums in the last ten years for sure

This makes me happy
Ok
One of my favorite songs
One of my favorite albums! Very very good!
Literally one of my most personal favorite songs, thanks to these two and many other on the record. RIP EASY MAC WITH THE CHEESY RAP
That was a really nice gift to give him before he left
Amazing track
Literally my two favourite artists
Great story. Like him or not, John lives for music. Mac left us too soon.
Just makes me want to cry. I miss mac ❤
That’s why I love this guy!!! Can’t wait to see him next year
Mac's last two albums are beautiful. John does a great live performance of this song as tribute
Beautiful God Bless Mac
Woooooowww..I didn't know about this! They're two of my favorite artist!
Such a great song, i play it every single day.
I cannot believe that’s John Mayer that played that lick. I’ve heard small world a millllionnn times
Miss Mac so much. Gonna blast his album today cuz “outside it’s cloudy but I like that better” ❤❤🥲🫡
Some people say they want to live forever (ever) that’s way too long I’ll just get through the day
John Mayer is now forever and always in my good books
This song is timeless. He made a good choice.
Rip Mac. I know it sounds cheesy, but then this man passed, I left like I lost a homie.

Look up the clip of him playing with BB king. One of the greatest things caught on camera
I was very happy when I thought he was covering it, to know he was there and part of the process, apart of Mac's life and his work just ❤ ahh
Just. Beautiful. ❤
Never knew this....... Awesome! Love john!
So Mayer played guitar on small worlds on mac's swimming album...THATS JOHN?!
U couldn’t tell he did the version when Mac passed and he’s credited on the song
Yes and his live performance of it during the Mac tribute concert was absolutely beautiful. There’s a brief clip of it near the end of this short.
John playing macs shit is so nice to know happens RIP🫰🙏🏼
Absolutely Classy Sounds Great Didn’t Ask For Money Or To Be Even Recognized. shout out John for making that incredible guitar strum making it sound like modern blues
I hate that I got into Mac’s music after he passed. The guy was(is) a genius.
Man I sure miss Mac his music is definitely timeless for me
Seriously how can people put shit on this guy.
Such a kind, caring person.
hear it first from the tiny desk concert. hooked! dope!
RIP Mac a true artist, visionary and friend

That entire album felt genuine
I’m even glad in behalf that Mac met this such a man before he gone 😭👍🏼
My two all time favorite musicians, such a shame Mac… you had so much more to give to this (small) world
I was today years old when I found that out. Rest easy Mac
