Hi, I'm in shock! - only 7 months have passed and your new case looks worn (and its crazy plate), all this has added a minus sign to the aesthetics of the phone. I am in deep thought whether I should buy such a case because it is already in my amazon basket. ?!?!?!

Its been 9+ months. Flown (round trip) from Fl Keys to NYC, Flown (round trip) From Fl Keys to Anaheim CA. Used as a daily phone, gamed at Pokemon go fest and events and my scratching my fingers on it 24/7 for that cool sound. I think its held up great ... OH and I should mentioned I've dropped the phone a half dozen times including once from a scooter in motion. I think its held up AMAZING! But yes its worn. I'm adding a new one to my amazon cart. LOVE IT!

@@TUXXREVIEWS Thanks for the comment, after that I bought it now. It's a pity that the video review can't be filmed with the same phone, it would be clearer, lol. Also, I'll have to try photography eventually, as I'm only a one-button person. I think this is Sony's last unique slim phone because the VI is the same brick as the others.

can you use these earbuds underneath a motor helmet? does it have noise isolation instead of noise cancelation?

Yes, Infact they may work even better. Ofcourse this may very as didnt helmets fit diffrent and people have diffrent sized heads but I would say yes.

I found the 1v was weaker than my iPhone 15 pro when streaming to the same Bluetooth device and the headphone jack was woeful compared to the iPhone’s usb c. I’m willing the 1vi to be better but I’m hesitant to pull the trigger, trying to break free from the iPhone!

LOL - You sound like an apple fanboy. Apple lost allot of credibility in audio by dropping the headphone jack. NO WAY a apple usbc doggle is better than a real headphone jack for audio. Plugging directly into the phone is WAY BETTER than a "woeful" apple doggle. I've had iphones and ipods (hell even ipads) and yes there is some positivies (if you like the apple echo system) but thats where it ends. For audio, for gaming and even photos Sony is better. Apples better if you want to trade in your apple iphone 12 for a iphone 13 at at&t for a cheap upgrade. If moneys not an problem try something diffrent. The sony camera is not as idot proof as samsung or sony but once you get over the learning curve its sooo much better. Life is short, wont know till you give it a solid try. I would say buy the sony, give it 1 year and if you still miss apple then just go back but you might break the chains apple has on you.

Fanboy. iPhone is the only apple device I own, I’ve tried Mac OS but find windows much more productive. (Albeit copilot is putting me off) - I’ve owned the Xperia 5iv, 1iv and 1v all of which had compromises. The sound output of the headphone jack in all these is limited to both the snapdragon dac and android output hence why they’ve changed the design in the 1vi. I’m hoping the 1vi sound is better and I’d have preferred them to use a better screen (again more compromises) but no doubt I’ll get it to try again. iPhone don’t talk about their sound output but from someone who’s owned both alongside each other the 15p is better sounding over both usb c vs headphone jack and Bluetooth on a cheap Bluetooth receiver.
