  • The 2024 Jeep Gladiator stands out as a top choice for drivers who crave adventure and need a truck that can handle the toughest terrain. Whether you're tackling rocky trails or high-speed off-road environments, the Gladiator is up to the challenge. Even the base Sport model is a capable off-roader, and with a wide range of aftermarket parts available, customization options are endless.
2024 Jeep Gladiator Just Arrived Video: • My 2024 Jeep Gladiator...
With its unique convertible design, the Gladiator offers the flexibility of a soft-top or hardtop, setting it apart as the only convertible pickup truck on the market. Boasting a maximum payload of 1,725 pounds and a towing capacity of 7,700 pounds, it's ready for serious work.
The 2024 model features updates like a new Wrangler-inspired grille and an upgraded interior with optional power-adjustable seats and a sleek 12.3-inch touchscreen. New Mojave X and Rubicon X models offer even more luxury and off-road capabilities, while the Willys model is enhanced for greater performance.
Powered by a 285-horsepower V6 engine paired with either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission, the Gladiator delivers respectable performance. However, its solid front axle and slightly rougher ride compared to competitors may not appeal to everyone.
Despite its rugged off-road prowess, the Gladiator faces tough competition from updated midsize trucks like the Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon, Ford Ranger, and Toyota Tacoma. While it may lack the refinement of its rivals, the Gladiator's iconic style and unmatched charisma make it a standout choice for adventurers everywhere.
What's New for 2024: The Jeep Gladiator receives quite a few subtle but substantial upgrades for 2024. First, it shares the same redesigned grille as the redesigned Jeep Wrangler. Inside, there’s an all-new dash layout and brilliant 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Jeep Adventure Guides is a new system that delivers information and directions to 62 off-road trails right in the Uconnect system, and a subscription version adds another 3,000 trails. Power-adjustable front seats are now available. There are also new side curtain airbags, and a windshield-integrated antenna. The Mojave X and Rubicon X join the lineup, bundling specific off-road and convenience features. The Overland trim is dropped, but the Willys special edition model is now a regular trim and comes with a new standard locking rear differential and Off-Road + drive mode. A new AEV package adds even more capability to the Gladiator.

I'm on the warp drive train to 70 years old and have owned several Jeeps and pickups from both domestic and foreign manufacturers over the decades. The Lovely Bride and I utilize a 2014 RAM 1500 4X4 with the "crew cab" and 5.7L Hemi as our daily driver. I also have a 2005 Chevy Colorado LS 4X4 with the 3.5L five-cylinder engine and coming up on 300,000 miles on the clock as my "beater truck". I'm doing some light online shopping for a used Gladiator as a replacement for the Colorado just in case it decides to give up the ghost before I do. Great video on a much-maligned truck!

Hello from Oklahoma! Good Video! Something people have forgotten, the Jeep was a "Utility Vehicle". About the time YJ came out Jeep has been trying to make luxury vehicles. I and Many other jeepers feel this is a sad trend. I wish that Jeep would bring back the bare bones jeep we all grew up with and love. I'm on my tenth jeep. Currently driving a 4 door 2014 Rubicon Unlimited. My first jeep was a 1975 CJ5. I'm an old man but still get out there and get it done. I was at Disney this last weekend. If people want to drive a luxury SUV , buy a Cheroki limited, Wagoneer or something like that. Leave the jeeps alone. Please.

Current owner of a 22’ Mojave and absolutely love it. 3.5” lift, 37” tires, canopy and roof top tent. Yeah 17-18mpg on a good day but its worth the capability. Currently nothing on the market interests me in the mid size market. I think the zr2 is cool or at4x but just having the simplicity of the solid 44’s is key.

Jeeps are over priced, and people that buy Jeeps usually know what they are getting into. It is the people that are coming from other light trucks or SUV's that are annoyed with how unrefined a Jeep is. We have 3 Wranglers and I know what they are, they leak and are loud but we enjoy them for what they are. I bought them used and would never pay MSRP for a new one.

I have a 2022 Gladiator Rubicon and I have both the soft top and the hard top (the hard top has the mopar sound deadening option). With the hard top on the gladiator is as quiet as any car on the road. It's a very quiet ride. It's a little noisier with the soft top but that comes with owning a soft top. As far as on the road, I have both a wrangler and a rubicon and on the road the gladiator rides more like a car. It's a vehicle I can take on a long ride without getting tired. The longer wheelbase really settles the ride down whereas the Wrangler Rubicon is a lot stiffer and more jumpy. The only place I can see the gladiator losing is in the price tag. It is an expensive truck but with deals these days I was able to get a 65k sticker price truck for 52k with the discounts when I bought it last year. That 65k is pretty much top of the line, leather interior, leather dash, towing package, remote key option, auto dimming mirrors, alpine sound system, dual tops, etc. To be honest it has proven to be a very reliable vehicle as well.

Im on my third (2nd was totalled) replaced it with my 22’. All three have had zero issues and zero warranty claims. I didnt own my ecodiesel long enough but it was a mpg and power beast!! Between the lifts, larger tires and off road trips, they have all been stellar. My brother has a lifted 19’ wrangler since new, also zero issues and warranty claims. New wranglers/gladiators have been very reliable with the majority of owners. My 19’ tacoma had a warranty/recall at 7500kms and my previous ford f150 2.7 transmission had gremlins and the legendary warped dash issue.

The things I would do to own a gladiator with the 6-speed manual!! It checks all my boxes. I'm also one of the guys that doesn't really care about the fuel economy/potential reliability. It's the most badass looking truck on the market and perfect for where I live in Colorado. I looked at one, drove one and liked it, however I ended up with a 2021 ZR2 with the V6. My mpgs in Florida are 18-19 city and 21-22 hwy. in my opinion the Gladiator was def louder in the cabin then my ZR2 and it was the hard top. I can see how it would be louder with the soft top for sure. Regardless the Gladiator still rocks, has a lot of support and goes top less if you want it to. I don’t think it drives as nice as my ZR2 but still a great option due to how you can option it out. Still think it’s a great truck for what it is, and just drive want you want, it’s your money. I really truthfully don’t care what others think of what I own, especially now since I’m 50. Im the one who had to pay for it, so if others don’t like it oh well I still sleep good at night….😊

Had a 21 2door Wrangler Rubicon - assume the Gladiator also has - defroster that only blows in the center of rhe dash even though the duct goes across the entire dash - seats that are super stiff and have the seatback cramming into your lower back, who at Jeep aprroved the seats ? - rust on the hood hinge from the bolts when it was two weeks old - and the broken rear defroster - trading in for a 4Runner was the answer to all the Jeep issues for me !

I have a 2022 Gladiator absolutely love it, not sure what people are talking about with cabin noise never had a problem talking to anyone... even on the highway at 80mph.
as far as fuel economy goes... dont know where they pull those numbers from your lucky to get 12 in the city and 14 on the highway ... i put a long range fuel tank on mine and had to put a aftermarket exhaust to do so, which gave me 18-22mpg ... and i got up to 600 miles between fuels stops... if i had know just changing the exhaust would have giving me better fuel economy i would not have needed the extra 17 gallons of fuel. ride quality from the factory is ok ... but its a jeep... no one leave a jeep stock, put a EVO Manufacturing 2.50-Inch Enforcer Stage 4 Overland Suspension Lift Kit with Front and Rear Track Bars, EVO Manufacturing EVO Spec King Remote Reservoir Rear Shocks with Compression Adjusters for 2.50-Inch to 5-Inch Lift, EVO Manufacturing JL/JT FRONT EVO SPEC KING 2.5" REMOTE RES WITH COMPRESSION ADJUSTERS 2.5-5". you can go down a dirt road at 50 mph and feels like you on the highway at 70mph, it does have a very small bed... its a small truck so no complaints there... if you need a truck buy a real truck, you should never tow anywhere near 7,000lbs with the small wheel base of the gladiator. not saying it cant but i would not for safety reasons. as a family of 5 ...back seat is small but its not our only car.. i don't classify the Gladiator as a midsized pickup truck... defiantly a small truck. (its a Jeep)
---Side note... The Gladiator has no power in any factory engine they come with, another towing flaw... why Chrysler offers a Wrangler 392 and not a Gladiator 392 is still beyond me. People buy a Gladiator to tow things with since they say it will tow 7,700lbs.
I have put a AMW 505 pkg in mine, plenty of power now and still getting 18mpg with the V8.

Had my Rubicon X for a month now, I love it, I swapped it for my '21 Rubicon, and the difference between the 2 is night and day. My '21 was great, but they really nailed the '24 and the Rubicon X trim; it really is a luxury truck, and it attracts a fair bit of attention and gets compliments. I'm really looking forward to taking it on some mild trails this summer once I get ExoShield on the windshield next week, but next year will be a great season once I add a 3" lift and some 35"s over the winter.
I hope Jeep has an Extreme Recon option group in the future with a factory 2.5" lift and 35"s for the Rubicons/Mohaves, that'd be pretty much be the perfect "stock" Gladiator.

The ride quality on the Gladiator is surprisingly good, it mostly depends on road quality. I've had 4 adult males in the truck on several occasions and asked how the rear seat room was, there were no complaints. Yeah, the gas mileage sucks, but no one buys a truck expecting an economy car. I'm loving the Gladiator.

Room? Let's go back to the day of my 1977 CJ5 factory soft top, fold down front seat, painted floors with a couple of mats and a non-existent heater. A.C.?, fold the windows down. Wind noise on the soft top? you could actually carry on a conversation, by yelling.
It was great to say the least, it was hot, it was cold, snow would blow in around the gaps in the soft top, you could open the doors and take a water hose to it, then pull the drain.plugs.
Or maybe my father's new 1973 CJ. He bought the extras, passenger seat $23.00 and sun visors $13.00.
Now, those buying jeeps act like they are buying a Silverado (for the price they proly should). It's a Jeep, even though the rough edges are nearly gone, it's an aerodynamic brick trying to be luxurious and rough at the same time. Me, I'd prefer to rebuild a CJ with the $$ and have a more functional and reliable vehicle. IMO.

The cabin noise complaints are hilarious. I've driven BMWs for last 15 years, which are solid on the sound proofing. My first ride in a gladiator was my buddy's Rubicon Ecodiesel, Clayton 2.5" Overland life, on 37" Nitto Ridge Grapplers. The ride was plenty comfy, and there wasn't any unacceptable cabin noise. Went and test drove stock rubicon gladiator just to get a fair assessment since my buddy's was far from stock on the things I was judging, and loved it. Solid front axle driving characteristics are another thing the internet has completely blown out of proportion.

Mojave tow capacity is 6000 lbs. Those other brand starting price is without 4wd. I’ve owned 7 Jeeps own a 2020 jlu now and looking for a Mojave soon. Service is usually as good as your local dealer makes it. Rear leg room on a gladiator is best in class. Headroom in a Tacoma sucks, it’s designed low to make the truck look better which puts you nearly lying down in the seat. Only in a Jeep.

It shares an engine with the SXT and transverse Pacifica. It has a solid V6, hence the higher price in my opinion. The cheaper competition all have a simple 4 cylinder turbo system. But who's buying this for the MPG's anyway? It's a true utilitarian vehicle with the caveat of also being fun! I'm trading my Pacifica in for one of these, cause in TX, the curbs and parking guide blocks in parking lots are playing hell on my lower front end! Love my Pacifica Limited, but it's time for something built for Texas. And the V6 in these is so solid, that my company, a global giant, insisted on getting the Pacifica for their fleet vehicle. There's a reason you see so many of these on the road - though here's where I look at the 'negatives'. Hopefully the Jeep doesn't have the same transmission jolt you occasionally get with the Pacifica. Even the Pacifica has road noise, even with a set of great Yokohama tires, nothing like my old Lincoln MKZ, which was pretty damn quiet for an AWD vehicle on rough Texas roads - it's my bar in road noise comparisons. In the 2017 and later Jeeps I drove before getting my Pacifica, I was underwhelmed with the touchscreen and its issues. Was happy to find that my 2020 Pacifica had a solid glass screen, much better than what I was used to. My hope is that the Gladiators have the same. All in all, I appreciate this video. I'm leaning towards pulling the trigger on one now.

If you want ultimate technical terrain ability, best in class payload, and about tied for best in class towing, you want this. When compared to the 70 and the Defender this thing rides like a Rolls Royce…. The people that complain about these in the comfort category miss the point.

Nice video. My reason for buying my Mo-chine? (Oh- when he was reading the list price of the other pickups, he didnt mention if ithey were a 4x4 but I digress)
I put a deposit on my Gladiator, stating that it was going to take time to round up the down payment. That gave me several weeks to watch review videos...
There were the walk arounds- the dry summary of the included parts. And then there were those where the reviewer got in and drove. And in almost every case the reviewer walked away giggling like a child. I decided I deserved that kind of fun!
Two other points- it was my intent to purchase a cookie cutter pickup. But I noticed that all the neighbors who had the (except perhaps contractors who made a living with them) used then 2 or three times a year, and drove some other vehicle in between. There's that poor truck, flat tires, cobwebs, lacking maintenance, and some poor fool paying a premium payment, insurance, and registration for for the few times a year he actually needs a truck. I love driving mine, and have a reason to jump in every day. "The Swiss Army Knife" of trucks- I'll buy that-
I envied that huge heavy duty Ford or Gmc he needed for his construction business... he got the truck he needed for his business, I got the truck I needed for my monkey business.

Don't forget, there are several versions of the Gladiator, so gas mileage can vary. You are in the Mojave, a somewhat specialized version. Its great off road, of course but a special set up for sand. Special shock setup, etc. I like the one you are testing. I like the non turbo motor. I'm interested in this one or a Pro4x Nissan truck. I'll be test driving both soon. Thanks for your videos.

agree w/ the hesitation regarding turbocharged 4 bangers in trucks and liked the Frontier for that reason. Haven't heard great things about the 9 speed Nissan transmission but i don't own one so can't really comment. I can say the 8 spd automatic in the Gladiator is best in class, shifts are smooth and the transmission & engine work together for engine braking when going downhill

Listen people like to spout off at the lips without knowing the guy probably don’t even own one. I’ve never been a jeep fan or a Chrysler fan, but I bought a gladiator for my wife she wanted one. It’s a damn nice vehicle. I don’t have any problem with noise.I am 300 Lb &6’2” I’m a little scrunched when I drive it if I had another two inches would be great. It’s got plenty of power. I’m gonna buy another one so you people keep bitching. Don’t buy them cause it’s bringing the price down for me. I find most peoples opinions like assholes. Everybody’s got one they all stink.

  • @briannichols4807

One reason not to get a Jeep Gladiator , is if it's one of the few available with a manual transmission , it's got an open safety recall for defective clutch plates . So it would be best to get the automatic transmission . The reason I know this is they accidentally ordered some as company cars where I work with manual transmissions , and because of the safety recall for the clutch plates which still have no fix we can't legally get rid of them even after having them about 2 - 3 years .
