I do love eyes of the world it is one of my favorites and I plan on seeing the dead and company on their New Year’s Eve show I have been in and out of hospitals for the last six years and I’m in recovery in a nursing home right now getting ready to go to assisted-living and then get my freedom sometime late summer I’m looking forward to it let’s hope the next six years treat me better than this past six I’m glad that you finally got to get out and catch a show.
I was there...I experienced something that you cannot explain when Chementi hit those final chords of his piano solo. Those chords are sheer magic, mesmerizing, and uplifting, lifting you into a higher plane of blissful joy and wonder. I'm sure there are many who know exactly what I am talking about.
I don't think he can see it. Even if he made it to heaven which I question. He cannot see or visit the earth again. If you know the truth. The truth will set you free. Jesus is Lord. Did you ever hear Jerry say that?
It's so sad when a musician dies & the band continues on & people say they're looking down smiling. That's something that someone said & people pass that idea on. The Bible tells the truth about this & there aren't many paths to heaven. I saw the Dead back in the 70's & up till last year & always liked the way they played but never into the deadhead scene of making a religion out of it. All the the crazy things that are happening in the world are exactly as the Bible said it would be but you won't find people looking down smiling.
I agree that this was incredible! Oteil and John playing off each other is amazing !! I was actually there, but it’s so great to watch this video and see the the fingers flying on those frets. Wow
I generally don't like D and C, but this is fine. For once, O'teill's contribution is audible. Just my opinion, but 99% of the quality D and C was 2018 and prior.
I feel the same about this show. The band was amazing, and the energy throughout the whole show and campground was electric, even the weather was great which for the gorge can be hit or miss.
@@Marshall_Stacks Have you even seen Jerry & Brent. I think you got dirty drawers too ! You don't know your own shit ! I'm almost 70 years old. Now , who's the real child ?

I think John Mayer is rocking an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept GMT Tourbillon in white ceramic, which seems to run about $180,000. These days JM does mostly wear a variety of obscure rare $400,000+ Rolex models. CNBC estimated 25% of his net worth is in his watch collection! Disclaimer: I'm no watch expert, though it's entertaining to listen to JM geek out on esoteric watch details.
Oh man, sorry, but that was painful. Nothing personal to anyone, but I'm glad I didn't go, my personal feelings about it aren't going to ruin your good time if you had one. Just seems like they are lost in the past. I love listening to showsand miss it, but this just feels so wrong to me. But that's me. If you loved it then that's cool too...
@@ArienDH11 SO lets just clarify what we are talking about here. As far as the jams are concerned, this is very hot. But as far as the structure of the song is concerned, it leaves a lot to be desired. Lots of mistakes on Bobby's part. Also, Mayer is an excellent guitar player, but he plays long solos (which is good) and then solos during the verses (which is not). Not much point is playing smoking licks during the verse after taking a long solo with similar sounding smoking licks. Its all wrong aesthetically. The verses and chorus are a time for the lead guitarist to chill out. Then there is JM's falsetto harmonies during the chorus -- really lame. JM definitely has some really tasty moments during the solos. And he is locked in very well with the bass dude and the Billy and Micky. It aint the Dead. It is a really good bass player and a really good guitar player jamming with the Dead drummers on an Emajor7 jam. Bobby is offside, somewhere. Reminds me of Chicago 2015 -- the high points were all when Trey jammed with Phil and Billy and Mickey. A lot of the structured parts were sloppy.
Early Doobie Brothers, the Allman Brothers band, and of course the Tedeschi Trucks Band of which Oteil Burbridge was a founder along with his brother Kofi (RIP).
Something I thought would never happen again. Thank you for the healing music. Nothing but happy tears, thankful to be alive. 🐾🐢🌹

Imo this is the best Dead & Co show because this was Oteil’s best performance
This has to be my all time favorite groove. they are so into it, it just makes it an experience. The more I listen, the more I like it!

Is this the one where Mayer quotes the old Gilbert O’Sullivan tune “alone again. Naturally” or was that the following year?

You'll never see them again unless AI & VR improve enough that you can attend a show in the past and feel like you're really there.
Sounds like torture
Weir’s voice is shot here; understandably. To me, this rendition sounds tired and unfocused even by Dead standards.
Bob Weir is such a bad singer. So was Jerry, but his voice was less grating, Just let John sing it, for the love of god….
You don't belong here.
Jerry Garcia didn’t have a strong voice but it was pretty suitable. John Mayer’s isn’t.
Let Billy Strings sing it
