It’s a miracle that you got an offer from Microsoft straight out of college, all I hear about from graduating or job hunting SE’s is that they’re applying to hundreds of jobs and getting rejected or ghosted

Hey bro you seem to be so optimistic and that's a good thing but not in my case. I am going through the same mental trauma and pessimist thoughts as i have zero percent interest and love for coding but unluckily, i have to pursue this as my career as i own that heck degree. I am crying. Your story is impressing me to switch to something else, a little bit easier for me. Thanks man.

It's roughly a similar amount. I'll make a video sometime that details the similarities and differences between the roles' salaries.
Yap, too early to say its our dream job, but when time goes by it slowly changing. I was in that position too. 🤤
Dude... would love to know more about what its like being a PM. Longtime Senior software engineer and honestly... I don't love coding lol. I find as a consultant I enjoy working with different teams, getting things in order, etc. Curious if maybe PM is a more natural route than the future engineering manager step.
Gotcha, yeah there's probably some overlap between engineering manager and PM (except I don't have the same level of authority or visibility into code, and I have to talk with customers to get feedback). I definitely would encourage the transition if you enjoy collaborating with many teams and looking at a product from a broad birds eye view (instead of being deep in the technical implementation), and if you don't enjoy coding anymore.

Fuuck, I made it to final round interview between me and this guy. Was supposed to hear back from the recruiter today but haven't heard anything. I didn't think ghosting was a thing.

Choose any one carrer and pls put full focus, time and effort in it which u have interest but don't do double things at a time which sometimes can be exhaustive and confusing thing

We are today where we stand only because of our teachers, the effort they put in; in pushing us to our limits, at times beyond, and the pressure we were able to withstand. My very best wishes.
