Justin has a bad rep because of the things he did as an idiot kid with a ton of money. But Justin apologized countless times and made up for it. That’s why people don’t wanna say he’s talented, but he really is super talented. Great song writer, great singer. He’s gifted. That’s why he deserves to be where and what he is and always has been, a superstar.

His core/early fanbase turned a LOT of people off him, but he really does have a damn good voice and the talent to back it up. It's always great to see someone, such as yourself, take the time to actually judge him and his music for themselves.

I don’t know a ton of his music, but Lonely makes me really feel for him. I can’t imagine being a solo artist and having his level of superstardom at such a young age. That would mess anyone up.
This was about 5 years ago. His voice was amazing, but he’s definitely in his vocal prime right now! I recommend “Lonely” it’s from his most recent album. The SNL performance is great if you don’t want the studio version. Also, “2 Much” & “Off My Face” from his Paris live performance :)

It came as a shock to me, too, when I found out Justin Bieber was actually talented. His song "Sorry" had me dancing around the office (I almost fell on the floor when my assistant told me, "you're dancing to a Justin Bieber song"). I think it'll be really interesting to see how he matures and how his songs and voice change over the years.
All discussion of the song aside, "My Mama don't like you and she likes everyone," might genuinely be the sickest burn of the decade. Literally everyone I've seen respond to this song crumpled up at that line because I think we all felt that.
Oh my Gosh Guyyyyssss!!!! He needs to check out "Monster" by Justin and Shawn Mendes. It'll really clear up things about his perceived persona and misjudgment in the public eye. Plus it's freaking amazing and not as "pop-py" as his other songs, since he wants to hear more of a ballad style.
Once I let go of what I thought he was (my bad and judgy) I realized I like him. He started at such a young age so of course he's going to have made mistakes but he's grown into a young man. Lonely is a song that will give you insight into how he felt starting out so young and being judged. As always, love watching your reactions!
I took my daughter to see him 6 years ago. I was really pleasantly surprised at how good he was. He spent part of the concert with just his guitar singing, and I was truly wowed! I mirror your reaction.

I'm 32 and I've been a belieber for nearly 12 years and the songs that always comes out on top in the fandom when polls are made is Life is worth living, Purpose and As long as you love me, which also are my all time faves, especially the first two, and they also happen to be Justin's favorites. Some of the lyrics in Purpose is from his suicide letter and it always helps my anxiety listening to that one. Many people has said Life is worth living has helped them through some very very dark times. Both of them are magnificent live. And as long as you love me is just bop.
This was my exact reaction when I heard this song about 5 yrs ago. I know you like live performances, but try the studio album. The whole thing has a great vibe.

I can't find anything on it, but the first time I heard this song I thought it was JB saying you should go ef yourself in a nice way. Like it feels like it has that meaning as well. He plays multiple instruments too. He had to grow up in the spotlight & he’s grown up to me a decent young man. Took our daughter to see him in concert years ago & he was definitely high on stage & not that great. It was disappointing, but I’m happy for his apparent growth.
"Sorry" was great. That was the beginning of what made this 40 year old adult woman start loving his music (and I find his actions questionable, but then again, I was never 14 and working and never really told no during a time when you need boundaries). His music is awesome. His life, a trainwreck. It's sad.
His life now is no longer a train wreck, he’s matured, married and wanting to start a family. Just like all kids he did some dumb things we just heard more about it because he is famous. His song Lonely says it all. I think he’s actually a incredible young man who is fiercely talented and I hope his music is around for a very long time.

Justin Bieber is very underestimated in his talent but he's really only has himself to blame for it. You can find great examples of his music but be prepared to dig through tons of pop music for teenage girls to find it.
He sings, plays several different instruments, and writes his own songs. Your lucky to get one of those talents in the common pop star.

Yess he made some mistakes as every other teenager do in that phase of their life it's just he was infront of every one and people gave him so much hate that he never deserved and I have been following him for a while and let me tell you more half of the things for which people hate him are fake things made up by media because everyone loved to hate him at that time which people are now starting to realise.He used to post covers of songs as a kid and his vocals were great for a kid of 12-13 yrs of age so he got his first big break so I don't know why people think that he can't sing when this man was discovered because of his vocal abilities in his videos that just shows how people can twist things in this world and make people believe it.Also he is a multi instrumentalist can play guitar,piano,drums(since he was 2 yrs old),trumpet and can dance too

This was not even one of his best performances! Trust me, Justin Bieber singing his songs acoustic is so beautiful. In this video he‘s not even showing his crazy vocals. You should check out more live performances of him (but acoustic!). You may not like him but he is so incredibly talented

As many have mentioned- Lonely (heart wrenching), Holy, That’s What Love Is, Off My Face, Unstable, Lifetime- all fantastic. ‘Lonely’, however, I swear I can ever the souls of Elvis, Judy Garland, MJ, and too many others letting go of a collective breath they’ve been holding & saying ‘YES.’😔
