Abraham Canales I respect that, I just think he sounded better back in his playful slim shady days. The way he raps/sounds now kinda sounds corny to me, but he’s still an amazing lyricist
Y’all be like “he isn’t good anymore” you literally can’t say that cause it’s normal to lose a little flow when you’re older. Like he will always be legend.
too the people saying that people have you even heard kamikaze and music to be murdered by...yeah he had some different albums but people didn't like it coz they don't know how to listen to lyrics he is the same
I think its admirable Eminem is even still able to do most of this song even when he is 50 and he does not do live performance that often no more plus I think people have forgotten the side effects overdosing probably had on his lungs and body overall. Its a miracle he even survived and is still able to kill the rap game to this day.
I was watching an interview with Mike Tyson and he was a little worried because the mic pack that attached to his in ears, he stated that it was dangling between his legs, and he was trying his hardest to find it, and was stuffing it in his pocket somewhere or something like that
Of All the televised Eminem performances, this is my all time favourite. Tony Yayo to this day is appreciative of the look he got from the biggest rapper at the time performing the #1 song in the country at the Grammys when no one there even knew who he was. From the Roots killing it to the JMJ tribute, everything about this was special. R.I.P. Proof
Every Time I hear this song it takes me back to this moment at the Grammys, where He sang this to all the people it could Inspire in the audience and at Home Watching it, those who put their World on the line in Something they have all their Energy in.. Hoping to make a Shot, a Powerful Moment in all their Lives.. this song always Stokes the Fire Inside..
@@larahinojosa9602 you say that but don’t realize em has been doing that since forever lmao. He still actually performs live over the playback but it’s there, and there’s nothing wrong with doing that it’s common in hip hop. He 100% didn’t use it in this performance tho that’s obvious
tbh i love this version of Lose yourself better because of the guitars are more dirtier and fuzzier than the original version and the fact that Em could rap as tight as the original version proves how great of a rapper he is
I am German and have always liked his music. But since I have improved my English a lot, he is a genius for me. Unbelievable. Of course I don't understand everything, even for native speakers it's probably impossible. Lyrically just not comparable with other rappers. Almost a genre of its own. And I think his new songs are better than those "catchy" songs around 2010. He has these completely insane lyrics again, like at the beginning of his career. One or two bars sometimes have 4 different meanings that can be interpreted. But for non-native speakers all the lines with double or triple bottom are very difficult to understand. As I said, also for most native speakers, which is probably why his success is waning. He is too much of a genius for the mainstream hip-hop audience.
I mean, it’s common for even ophera singers’ voices to falter with age. He wasn’t even properly trained (like classical singers vocally). So of course he wasn’t and isn’t able to keep his physical vocal chord up 100%. But eminem is not just great because of his voice. There are so much more to him and people should not just look at his live performances and judge him so bad.
Eminem wears the Free Yayo shirt and Proof yells Free Yayo. That was a show of strong solidarity between Shady and G-Unit right there. 50, Banks and Yayo around that time were like what 8 or 9 months in and that love was real! Miss these good times of hip hop.
Just like he performed this at the oscars in recent years i cant wait to see him perform it at the grammys again just to see all the other artists and music types singing along in the crowd it would be so epic i just know it
Here Em was already an undisputed icon & a legend in the making 🐐 8 mile had established itself as a box office success the year before, & its Oscar nomination had been announced.

Best version of eminem by far, miss his old voice and flow
He had great flow but imo the current em that dropped kaminaze and music to be murdered by is to me the best em we've seen, rap wise

Definitely the best lose yourself's live ever. No playback, the mic was on fire
Only a complete retarded will need autotune to "sing" rap.
Props to the live band too.
His vocabulary is sick! Dude can take words that you would’ve never thought would rhyme and still make it work.
He is a true poet. One of the greatest artists of all time and certainly the most influential of his generation. An icon and an inspiration.

Me too. 54 yr old man getting goose bumps listening to this. Not my genre of music. Best biographical song ever made.
Hes the only rapper i like. Been that way sinse he started.
He is the greatest rapper of all time. I just love him. He was is and will always be the best ever rapper born. Loose yourself will never get old
your grammar will never get old either👏
Eminem would disagree.
Why does he looked like in his mid-20s when he was 31 at that time?
Even now he looks younger!
Good genes
He look 17 r 16 in this
I thought he was 24 in this performance

The Oscars clearly didn’t sound check with Em before that performance.... also this performance slaps.
Eminem had only 5 rehearsals and they were all off-site to keep it as a secret tho
but god i loved the bass on the end
Loved the strings and band at Oscars 2020 and he sounded great. Audio is clearer here tho
I was watching an interview with Mike Tyson and he was a little worried because the mic pack that attached to his in ears, he stated that it was dangling between his legs, and he was trying his hardest to find it, and was stuffing it in his pocket somewhere or something like that
The background music of Oscar is dope
