I still remember wall climbing, sky diving, wake boarding, barefoot water skiing, bungee jumping. Flatland, vert doubles, inline. Etc. The "olden" days.
@@plantmandanny the invisible man was one of my favorites, if I’m not mistaking the name. I may be remembering wrong, but I thought they either banned it or most wouldn’t attempt it because people would blackout from pulling too many g’s.
Man, this takes me back!! I remember the names like it was yesterday. I always remembered Stefan Wagner was always the dude to beat. Thanks for the upload.
I remember watching this, Im still riding bmx and that's why I used to turn on, but the street luge took me back to the days of hill bombing as a kid on my santa crux Rob roskopp multiface.
Chris Fowler sending it to Mike Adamle and Tommy Kendall! From the current voice of College Football to the former voice of American Gladiators to the Trans-am champion. What a weird decade the 90s were.
X games went to a more stadium based approach after 2001 and you cant do luge in a stadium. I think there were some legal ramifications as well but the luge scene is still going to this day :)
@@teodorusdikypermadi yeah one of my heros. But what started as an alternative sports Olympics just changed completely for viewing figures and all the sports they brought into the public eye they killed again.
If you have the right track passing isnt hard. You just need high speeds and intense braking zones. We have many examples of these types of tracks on the current world street luge tour!
Im 42. I grew up watching this on tv as a kid late nights on tv. ESPN would always be showing this at 1 am on summer nights. Memories. It's kind of dumb nowadays if you think about nowadays. Can you really go downhill on a highway without getting smashed by a car?
Please bring it back X-Games! It would be a dream come true! Sincerely the 2018 Street Luge World Champion :)

I always loved sky surfing. Those tricks they pulled of were amazing. The 90’s were truly the best years of X-Games.
You for got BMX and others.
@@kwm4404 Yeah, the henhouse surprise was one cool trick.

Hoping that X-Games would bring back the good old times.
RIP Biker Sherlock. He was so awesome to watch during this era.
RIP Dave Mirra. Dude was a legend!
Man, this takes me back!! I remember the names like it was yesterday. I always remembered Stefan Wagner was always the dude to beat. Thanks for the upload.
Biker Sherlock. Rat Sult. How can you forget those names? Haha. I miss these days so much.
Bruh I remember being 7 years old and wanting to do this soooooo bad. Xgames was lit af back in the day hahaha
Street luge looks fun, but Xgames is kind of cringe. Or maybe that's just how things were in the 90's.
@remyllebeau77 this was the exact opposite of cringe back in the mid 90s. It was a culture
This is the x games I remember! where are the Japanese brothers that dominated vert rollerblading!!
In case you missed it, X Games published a throwback on the Yasutoko Brothers last month: watch?v=9PS0FfVTMno
@@zede77 thanks!
I never say this but only real ones remember this
What a special time to be alive. I'd do anything to go back.
I don’t know if it’s more fun growing up then or now cause I’m watching all of the all old skate videos and x games stuff
I remember watching this, Im still riding bmx and that's why I used to turn on, but the street luge took me back to the days of hill bombing as a kid on my santa crux Rob roskopp multiface.

Loving it
How about some events from 1995 and 1996 that is what I’m guessing what the next X Games throwback video is gonna be about
This is so 90s. Love it
This was so dope.. why don’t the do this anymore?
X games went to a more stadium based approach after 2001 and you cant do luge in a stadium. I think there were some legal ramifications as well but the luge scene is still going to this day :)
So weird... I was randomly searching street luge videos last night.... and then today this... am I meant to be a street luge master?
I think so!
Yessssss
I miss these!
I raced luge in San Francisco in the middle Ninties, great time to be alive 😎
Vans Rider Lee got taken out.
Darren Lott mentioned me in his Book "Street Luge Survival" hooked the three up with wheels back in the day.
Back when xgames was really good and showed alternative sports and then they cancelled them all sports like this and climbing and added rallycross 🤯
You know one inspired driver is colin mcrae is making rallycross

@@tomrachellesfirstdance7843 yeah
A time trial competition (overtaking is hard unless the course is easy) would be fantastic. Find some 90-second downhill and let them loose!!!

The golden age for extreme sports
I use to sell street luge wheels to Biker and his crew. Was at the San Diego X Games delivering him wheels.
more Street luge from the past please
Bring back Street Luge Big Air!!
BRING IT BACK!

Street luge is the most speed downhill dangerous in x games !

When x games were good
*Gets in street luge wreck

The drama 😭😭😭😭
These were the days ,Mirra rip
Old times...
The Real XGames 1995-2006.
Biker Sherlock...
I haven't heard that name in years.......
How exactly do athletes turn in a Luge competition, it feels so cramp for a lack of a better turn…
Leaning!
Shifting body weight
Biker looks like Jaws' dad lol
Can we get the kayak bungee jumping next??

Dear diary, today I will be competing against my arch enemies, Rat, and Biker. Tell mother I love her.

Is it true this was removed because it was too dangerous?

Sad that Biker Sherlock killed himself.
Would Elon buy and bring back X-games? :)
I hung out with Biker in Jersey. Cool guy. Banged his girlfriend one morning.
