This actually makes sense for an electric bike in the city. For someone in a car uberEats and Uber are total scams though. I saw a video from some years ago by Rob the Road guy, one of his first videos, and he calculated that accounting for wear and tear on the car and everything he was making just cents an hour. That's completely ridiculous.
I wish I lived somewhere I could do this. :-)

i did door dash twice in my car, i live in a county of 900k. DD ran me all over the county to make $60 in 4 hours and I burned 1/2 a tank of gas. not worth it. i went back to delivering pizza.

he's definitely a little more cavalier with safety/theft. I've seen other dashers use bikes and they lock theirs up at every delivery, but that gets annoying quick and all those minutes add up making it less enjoyable. E-bikes can be remotely locked so that the wheel wont move making it hard to steal, plus they can be heavy so as long as he's quick the odds are low. I can see why he risks it, especially if he's just riding in a nice area.

I just ordered a Lectric XP Lite and even though I live in a relatively crime free area I don't think I could let it out of my site without it being locked. It is a great idea to use an ebike. So much more cost effective and easier in regards to parking, traffic and such. Bet you could pay off the bike pretty quickly.

do you not use a lock on a bike? just curious because I think I saw you leave your bike unattended when going inside restaurants!

So, you don't lock your bike when it takes you a few minutes to get the order? There is no way you could leave your ebike unattended / unlocked anywhere in the metro Phoenix area without running a high risk of it getting stolen, especially that ebike.

Having worked with Bolt Food and Wold delivery, this is great to watch, but I'd be constantly paranoid about the bike being nicked. Had few buddies with e-bikes get their bikes stolen while they were carrying order to the client indoors. It takes literally no time for plebs to steal the bike, even considering the fact it has a lock and immobilizer and stuff. Plebs just roll up with vans, stuff the bike inside and take off. And the sad thing is, locking it up, while somewhat quick, is pretty damn annoying and considering you have to lock and unlock it like 60 times a day, it actually consumes a considerable amount of time in the long run.
