Hey YTOnceAgain - for some reason you comment can not be seen on here. But to reply - I hear ya - beauty is in the eye of the beholder and perhaps the LED look is not for everyone, but I assure you it looks amazing in person and does not interfere with Classic Monster look. I'm one the same page with you on that.
Yeah, that comment seems to be gone. If I ever stumble across (a cheapish) one, I might replace my headlight with one that has clearglass... just because I like the look (much like the Cagiva Raptor, a bike you probably don't even know in the US) - light is fine. It's kind of strange that Ducati still mounted those oldskool lanterns even in the '00s. Those things are kind of vintage in a bad way. For some reason I can picture the Italian Army tricking Ducati into buying an abandoned warehouse full of these in the early '90s... "Madonna mia! What'a shall'a we do wittt'a all these old'a lamps'a?? We 'ave to build a motocycletta around those that'a goes like 'ot cake!"
hahaha, i cant totally see that. Mama mia, what we gona do with these old lampsaaaa hahahahah :) Awesome. CAGIVA RAPTOR looks like a monster! That is amazing! :) Def never heard of it.
shoudnt the side lights have lit up while it was on and leaning? i figured that was what you were double checking when you were turning it on and off towards the end
Yep, they do, that is the basic idea behind the function of the light. No, when I was turning it on in the vid I just was happy to see that it lights up at all. I think since it was fully leaned over when I turned the bike on it did not start moving the lights around. I will make a vid of its function.
Ducati NYC Vlog that came to my mind later on the start up....cant wait to see some night videos, thinking about converting my FZ07 headlamp to this one
the light is that strong enough riding by night? i actually got a 796 and without using the hard light i can't see anything when i ride at night =/ and can you maybe explain the differences between the adaptative LED and the standart one ? thanks !
absolutely. i used to HATE riding at night and never really did with my stock light. this is 100 times better. adaptive means it shines into the turn as you lean, it has a few main lights and a bunch of lights on the sides as you turn. Standard one just shines forward
Man o man. This thing is ridiculous as soon as the sun starts going down. PS. Full credit goes to YOU for me using a vertical dash instead of horizontal one in the title of this video :P Much cleaner.
This light is as dope as a light can get. So bright. The light is so bright that you don't even need the adaptive feature on it, but its just the cherry on top.
hey, did you recently swap ur headlight, or did u do this a while ago? i could've sworn i spotted ur bike parked in dumbo one day, when i was driving a few weeks ago
It's literally night and day, no pun intended. The stock light on my 620 was embarrasing and useless. This is like a spot light from a damn spaceship. No comparison to stock, at all.
I'm pretty sure it makes every single person on the street feel inadequate when I turn it on. LOVE catching people starring. So, don't feel bad. And LED flashlilght geek? Does that mean you have a extensive collection?
I have more flashlights than any one person would ever need, but only a few are actually of any serious quality, and I only get one or two of those a year.
Nice video. Honestly though, it looks like a shower head and doesn't match the Monster's classic look. Although LED-tech is cool (literally, I guess), I would've gone for something less radical. Or ditch the round look altogether. However, at least the lighting is better than with your stock headlight... and it's easier on the battery. What's "adaptive" about that headlight, by the way?
Sorry I'm only seeing this but you are a MADMAN if you want to ditch round look all together. Motodemic looks epic and a perfect mix of modern and old. Its adaptive because the light leans into the corners as you turn. I love it.
I do hope this is a joke and you are kidding. Stock headlight is GARBAGE. Useless. Should have never been put on. My Motodemic Adaptive light is 1000 times brighter and actually lets you ride at night. If you have never experienced one I strongly suggest it. "Perfectly good - stock - headlight" - good one. You, sir, are a comedian :)
Hello very interesting video about the conversion to an LED headlight. I intend to do the same, but have now come to a point where I am unfortunately desperate. I can't find this 7 "HEADLIGHT CONVERSION RING. Could you or anyone else send me a link to this ring. Best from eBay, AliExpress or similar sites. Thank you many times in advance and urgently ask for your help, as I do not want to replace the original headlight bracket.
Unfortunately the only conversion ring I know of comes from Motodemic and is part of a kit - not sure if he sells them separately but I would contact Motodemic.com and ask.
Crazy prices on these things. I would like to have one but I don't ride at night. Too many urban drunks and stoners and too many rural deer and elk. Still, maybe Santa will find me worthy.
Yea, the price is not cheap but WELL worth it. This light actually made me start riding at night, while before it was impossible. Funny, I said the same thing before, wishing for Santa to hook me up, or perhaps Baby Jesus and he eventually did :) Urban drunks and stoners are all part of the adventure.
1:09 Finally we all get to see the face from where the poetic NY street cursing comes from. :-)
Ha! There has been other times too, awhile back. Full face reveal at 5 million subs, yo :P
Beautiful upgrade 👌🏍
Absolutely. I love this thing :)

Looks nice, but must use a lot of current with that massive heat sink on the back. Must get rather hot too?
No idea, never had an issue since i put it on almost a decade ago
@@ducatinycMust be alright on that basis then 👌

This light is glorious. You can't possibly go wrong. Will def try to capture this soon.
Hi are these side lights working ? I'm about to order one adative set but am curious to see them in action. Did you do a nght vlog?
Regards, M
Hehe, yes, of course they are working. And I've done about 37 night vlogs :) Its a DOPE light.
You can do this mod for me next winter before you take my 620ie out for a putt to Key West.
Ha! Sounds like a plan.
Ok, I looked at how much that light costs. Holy crap! (Great light though)
Yea, it's not cheap by any means, but works like a DREAM :)
70 dollar at AliExpress.

whoa so fast answer thanks you ! huge price difference between the adaptative one and standard ='(
Yea, big difference but its worth it.
Hello i was wondering if you can tell me if this really worth it?
It's more than worth it. Stock light is useless, this is easily a 10x improvement.
Say, now.
$600-$1,000 for that headlight toooooo expensive
It's a premium item for sure. Worth EVERY penny.
Just pricy for my broke ass
aliexpress 25 usd
@@TheRunUpKing made in kina. 120$
Those are so sexy and now you get to see how terrible the old headlight was at night.
Man o man. This thing is ridiculous as soon as the sun starts going down.

damn i wan't one of these, crazy how it changes angle

are these pretty much universal?
*****
Yea, more or less. It fits a 7" headlight basket. I would tripple check with Motodemic though.
hey, did you recently swap ur headlight, or did u do this a while ago? i could've sworn i spotted ur bike parked in dumbo one day, when i was driving a few weeks ago
Yea, I did this in August - so I had it on there for awhile.
Ducati NYC Vlog it looks sick bro! i hope to get my Honda 599 to look as good one day!
Those are beautiful bikes too. Do you ever park it in Dumbo? I feel like I've seen one of those around.
i haven't yet. this was my first season riding, and unfortunately haven't gone there yet on bike
What's the difference like at night?
It's literally night and day, no pun intended. The stock light on my 620 was embarrasing and useless. This is like a spot light from a damn spaceship. No comparison to stock, at all.
Maybe I missed it...but I didn't even see what it looked like when you turned it on
It's quite possible I didn't turn it on to show it off. Was too excited!
I was wrong. You showed it working...my bad ...lol
You got a link where you got yours?
Yep, motodemic.com
is this could be the same on 2001 750???
Yes, I think so. The attachment ring might be a little different but the actual light is the same. Check out motodemics.com
Kann ich den Scheinwerfer auch an meine 98er DUC Monster 750 bauen und wo hast du die bestellt ? Grüße aus Dortmund
Hi! Ja, das können Sie - Sie können es auf www.motodemic.com bestellen
Hi! I have a 2004 Ducati Monster 620, would that 7 "headlight fit well? Or do I need the converter? Thank you !!!
You will definitely need a converter ring, 7" is not big enough.
Will this work with a 99 monster 750?
where can a i get it!!!!!! i want it, information please
www.motodemic.com is the place :)
thankyou
I must admit to being something of an LED flashlight geek, so this thing makes me feel a bit inadequate.

ha. no, its 100% correct. not sure if you're kidding or not :)
what size is the headlight?
7 inch

What's "adaptive" about that headlight, by the way?
YTOnceAgain Im not sure but I think it has a sensor in it so that when the bike tilts, the headlight still gives the correct light for the road
Sorry I'm only seeing this but you are a MADMAN if you want to ditch round look all together. Motodemic looks epic and a perfect mix of modern and old. Its adaptive because the light leans into the corners as you turn. I love it.
7" or 7,5""?
7.5
YOu still use thius one?
For sure. Love this headlight.
Why messing about with a perfectly good - stock - headlight ?
I do hope this is a joke and you are kidding. Stock headlight is GARBAGE. Useless. Should have never been put on. My Motodemic Adaptive light is 1000 times brighter and actually lets you ride at night. If you have never experienced one I strongly suggest it.
"Perfectly good - stock - headlight" - good one. You, sir, are a comedian :)
Acually the stock headlight on monsters from that era is very good. I owned a S4 myself here in Sweden and rode it a lot during dark hours.

Beautiful! just a little out of the budget haha
Yea man, i hear that. Not cheap but most definitely gorgeous way to setup a light.
You paid 699$?
No, I think 699 is the new lower price, the headlight was closer to 1000$ when I installed it.
