Hey everyone! Christmas is right around the corner.. hope everyone is excited! Sorry this upload has gone up late.. life got in the way! This is my first video outside of Metro Manila. Many people have requested something like this so I hope you enjoy it! There is another 2 parts coming so stay tuned 😊 Which is your favourite province in the Phiippines? Look forward to reading all of your wonderful comments! Much love 💖💖
“Casa de Azucar” is in Batangas. I believe its worth the trip. Its how the City of Manila was before it was destroyed during WW2. You guys should check it out. Then head to the city of Baguio up north for a milder climate 😊
Merry Christmas Josh! Province life is peaceful and away from a super noisy cars in the city 😂..as i get older i am looking forward to live my whole life in the province..just enjoying the greenery and cool breeze! Ingat always! Enjoy! And godbless to more adventures in life!
I say this all the time. Philippines' greatest export is its people, even though we may not be as wealthy as other first-world nations. It is not that I am a Filipino, but hospitality is deeply rooted in our culture. Every country in the globe has a unique approach to welcoming guests, but the Philippines, I suppose, comes in first. Where would you see a stranger ask you to host you for something you expected the least? Don't be surprised if you encounter this Josh frequently throughout the nation. Enjoy you stay in the country.
Wow. Josh what an amazing experience for you and Conor. You get to experience the Filipino friendliness and hospitality. Very warm and kindhearted family. MERRY CHRISTMAS to you all.
It's good to see your exploring the North part of Philippines mostly foreign vlogger going to Visayas and Mindanao Area. And so humble your gesture to do the " Mano" respecting to the elders. Merry Christmas 🎄🎅
ive seen others doing this to foreign vloggers, theyre being invited to filipino bdays and home. Its a wonderful idea... thanks to Rupert (?) for inviting you two. A great way to be fully immersed into a Filipino family's way of living. I laughed at how Connor was carrying the pizza boxes hahahaha :))
It really is a wonderful idea! So thankful that fate brought us to Rupert and his family! Yeah not sure how those pizzas would have looked after that 😂
Like someone mentioned in the comments, the Philippines greatest asset is its people’s hospitality and friendliness. Bulacan isn’t far from where I’m from in Malabon. The “mano po” was a great bonus! Keep up the great amazing vlogs. Thanks for the daily smiles and laugh.
Hi Josh! I can't stop smiling while watching your vlog. So impressed and proud of you both for trying your best to speak tagalog. The highlight for me was when you said 'Mano Po'. Very respectful way of introducing yourself to an elderly Filipino. Enjoy your time in the Philippines! God bless you 🙏
OMG! You guys experienced all kinds of stuff in the Philippines mingling with the locals. Learning the language specially Tagalog dialect…we have so many dialects in the Philippines but Tagalog is the main dialect in Metro Manila. Amazing!!!
Filipinos are known for their hospitality. Very accomodating. It is a costume to feed visitors, foreigners or locals. Seems you really enjoyed your stay in San Miguel. Kudos to you guys.
You are one of the lucky foreign vloggers who gets to experience an authentic Filipino family dinner. Kudos to the family for being true to themselves and hospitable.
Nice to see u get that dinner with this family. Nakakaktuwa na napaka natural sa pinoy ang maging hospitable... Nakaka proud lnag kasi super inentertain sila josh
Filipinos are really friendly as you have observed. Good for you you have meet a friendly local who invited you to their house and you experience the Christmas in the Philippines.
They were honestly so kind and welcoming to us, we felt like part of the family! Yeah I totally agree more visitors need to experience something like this. Merry Christmas!
The most important sign that you are most welcome in a Filipino home is when you are invited to eat with them. But, be prepared on how much food they will serve you with insistence. 😂
I just came upon on this channel..and i really enjoyed it..👌 Rupert & his family really so hospitable to u guys 🙂. Well this kind of experience is really normal here in the Philippines. We're glad that u enjoyed it❤
She mentioned dirty kitchen but it is just an area of the house, She is not really implying that it is dirty, Dirty kitchens in asian countries refers to the outside or separate kitchen where they cook the complex stuff, where they process meats and fish that can be quiet messy, they also cook meals in big batches here sometims.. Some big houses can have separate kitchens like this and they have a basic kitchen to cook non messy and basic stuff inside their house.
OMG 😳 that’s my hometown in the Philippines!🇵🇭. Thank you for showing this. I truly miss that place. I used to live in front of Central Elementary School and in front of the monument. ❤
Wow Josh, so nice to see you already being "part of the family". Nothing beats home-cooked food... Sauteed mung beans happen to be one of my favorites and perfectly match fried fish or even a crispy fried Porkchop. I wonder where you guys gonna be spending your Christmas Eve and Christmas Day... hopefully in another Filipino family home...
YT. Recommended your channel. You only have 1 upload when i visited ur channel. Im happy that i watched it grow and now im ur fan. 😅 ♥️ i like this raw vlog thing unlike others ur the best!!! So natural not cringy at all.
You're lucky to meet kind local that will invited you to their hometown to experience their culture. And that is the hospitality of a Filipino" That is really how we do it, when we are going on a vacation from manila to Provice we often bring "pasalubong" and do stop over to places we go to before because its gives us the vibe of "nostalgia"
its nice to see d foreign doing a "mano po" traditions coz some of new gen today is so shy doing it, but instead their are doing a beso beso (cheek to cheek) greetings...
Merry christmas josh, enjoy your chirstmas in my country.. it is the best among all countries. Hope thay i can find places here in nottingham to celebrate my christmas 😂
Fried bangus and ginisang monggo with fried tofu and dahon ng ampalaya - perfect! Taob ang kaldero ng kanin! Adobo and sinigang are popular with foreigners but fried bangus or galunggong and ginisang monggo is way more delicious, for me! You guys are lucky for being invited in a Bulakenyo home. Bulakenyos are kind, respectful and hospitable people!
You’re probably the only vlogger I subscribe to that doesn’t have their GoPro set to Wide, and I THANK YOU FOR IT lol. Much more pleasant to watch without the fish eye effect you get when using Wide. Great video!
Wow Bro, Nueva Ecija is my Province in the Philippines. I love to see yout channel grow! You both deserve all the love because of the interest you show for Filipino Culture.
Love watching your video in the Philippines. Glad you’re enjoying your journey in Asia. Just started watching your video last week and kind of like it. Awesome places you’ve been to.❤️🇸🇽 from Vegas
Merry Christmas Josh and Connor and thank you to the Bilakeño family who invited you I hope you guys are in journey up north and see the beautiful city of pines Baguio ❤
Milkfish or bangus is the national fish of the Philippines. Doing the "mano", hand gesture of getting the hand and putting on one's forehead for blessing is usually done to the elders. The younger ones would prefer "beso" or placing your cheeks together with theirs as a sign of greeting.
@@TheJourneyofJosh haha...can sense the struggle you had to finished all the food. Can't wait that you and Connor will try the Eat all you Can at Vikings or Spiral!! And silog meals for breakfast!😊😉

Yeah I agree, you can really feel this all over the country.. even in Manila which you wouldn’t really expect from a capital city
Highly appreciate the constant use of Filipino words and phrases. 👏 👏 👏 when the lady said you were her adopted children, we Filipinos mean that.
Just shows your characters, when a family invites you in like that you've struck a chord with Filipinos. Well done lads.
I hope so, that really means a lot! Treat others as you wish to be treated 🫡

Dirty kitchen is a term Pinoys use for their 2nd kitchen, usually at the back of the house or outside , for stir frying, barbecue, etc. Merry Xmas!
Oh really? That makes sense now haha, I thought she was just being modest! 😅 Thanks for the info, Merry Xmas Archie!
