Merry Christmas Sam and to your Daughters. I have been blessed by the holy Ghost leading me to your posts. Praying GODS grace carries your family forever. Amen
I was thinking closely to what you are teaching Sam. Not to confuse anyone... This was my own assumption... I thought the beginning of The Last Days was when Jesus Died on The Cross and Rose Again... Once again, this was my assumption... Not arguing for my assumption... I'm here to learn
That is how the Apostles were to make disciples. Baptism is the Christian initiation. Followed by the hands-on reception of the Holy Spirit, in emulation of Christ and John the Baptist at the Jordan river. See also Paul's teaching in Acts 19:1-7.
@HAL9000-su1mz Thank you for your response. Appreciate it. I asked this question because Sam was teaching about The Apostles Baptizing in The Name of Jesus.
@@JosephShelton-q5q Matthew 28:19 and Acts 19:1-7 answers that, but remember that back then, there was some confusion, as both John's baptism and Jesus' baptism were contemporary, even though they are not the same. However, a baptism in the name of Jesus only is not valid, as Christ specified the Trinitarian formula (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) for baptism.
@HAL9000-su1mz Ok... I understand The Baptism of John The Baptist was a Confession of Sin, Water only, and turning to God vs Jesus and Disciples included Baptism of Holy Spirit
@@JosephShelton-q5q John's was a baptism of repentance, a turning from sin, and a preparation for the greater baptism soon to arrive. Christ's saving baptism is the "washing of regeneration" (1 Peter 3:21, Titus 3:5) which remits all sin - original and personal, and is adoption into the mystical Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12-13). It leaves an indelible mark upon the soul.

Question...Why did Jesus... before His Ascension... Said to Go into all of the earth Baptizing in The Name of The Father The Son and The Holy Spirit?
