- It’s not as though Brett Yang and Eddy Chen planned to turn their act, @twosetviolin, into a global disruptor of classical music.
They barely had a plan at all.
But when they threw in their coveted jobs as violinists with two of Australia’s leading orchestras in late 2016, they knew they wanted to do classical music differently.
Blending their impressive performance talents with comedy, the pair began to make videos for UA-cam, inspired by their experiences of the highs and lows of life as a musician.
They’ve now amassed millions of social media fans, are playing sellout concerts around the world and bringing new audiences to classical music.

Where do you get the mad idea that UA-cam is their "career"? It's just something they do among the many other things they do. And they are very good at it - just as they are good at being talented and serious musicians. THAT is their true career.
@@quaver1239 yeah it was overstating it to say they "risked it all" for their youtube career. becasue they did NOT quit University, they spent yrs developing their skills in the traditional paths of practice and competitions and youth orchestras, and if youtbe channel failed they could go back to teaching or playing in an orchestra

@@LinhChi93 ok, but it was really like going rorm one paid gig to another, they didnt quit before youTube had started building up, so I just think it was overstated to say they "risked everything". whihc to be fair it wasnt them saying it it was somone talking about them on the Tv episode. Plus they were probably still living at home so expenses were less than if they were married or with kids or something. I dont know what their video schedule is but even if it was once per week they couldnt done it one the side while still doing their regualr job, so maybe they were already making good money and/or doing multiple videos per week when they quit the orchestra. Additionally if they returned to the orchestra in 5 yrs it would boost the prifile of the orchestra so I think the risk was being overstated for dramatic effect. Van Damme moving to USA, or Arnold moving to USA was more of a risk and big leap than two guys who stayed in Aust until youtube got big . But I think ive said enough so I wish them well :)
@courtwatchaustralia they did it as side gig and half a hobby, and after, they did it with a neck-breaking 5 vids per week, from a permanent stable job to another domain entirely, even based on their existant expertise. As someone who moved abroad alone at 18, i still found that risky enough 😬

@seann You've completely missed the point. The two guys are opening peoples eyes (and ears) to the origins of most music. Music evolves and 2set have introduced people to music that they otherwise may have never ever heard.

I am very tired of observing the dumb-down of everything, and specially of classical music to make it appealing to a larger audience, and I would rather have it restricted to a knowledgeable audience than what we're experiencing today...

Unfortunately you seem to want to keep gatekeep classical music so uneducated, non-professional and untrained folk like me don’t spoil it for you. I nevertheless love music and have been introduced to a broader range of composers and pieces just through watching Two Set’s videos. I have never felt that they were dumbing down classical music - rather they explain and make it more accessible to people like me.
Hilary hit the nail on the head on why Eddy and Brett are able to connect with their audience. You can't break the rules if you don't have a complete understanding of the fundamentals. They are both so naturally funny, sometimes you forget that they are both so extremely talented. Twoset's dedication and passion for classical music is just incredible. As a kid who played piano, my love of classical music has been fully reignited in part by Brett and Eddy. I can't thank the two of them enough.
Yeah, they're very able to connect to the mediocre general public. But Hilary actually knows how to play the violin.
@@seannyandme I mean, I think even Brett and Eddy would agree that Hilary is on another level. (Just look at the look on Brett's face at 21:43!) But she's also on another level (IMO) compared to 90% of the serious professional soloists out there. When I hear most other violinists play Paganini's transcription of Erlkönig, I hear virtuosity; when I hear her play it, I hear _music._
The musicians who have built large, impassioned fanbases have always been the ones who have had the audience appeal to go with their musicianship. That's why Paganini and Liszt displayed not only the virtuosity of Haifetz, but also the showmanship of Taylor Swift or Blackpink.

Just recalling the time when Hillary played a Handel's violin concerto in the church across Curtis and Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia when she was just a kid! Makes me feel I'm old. But more impressed that she nailed the connection with Two Set Violin. Bravi tutti!

How beautiful. I have followed Brett and Eddy for years and I am so pleased that the ABC featured them in Australian story. Both of them have had health setbacks and we fans have supported them through this. May they prosper and we will continue to hunger for their brilliance. Well done, two Lovely Australian Boys. I pity those who don't know of them and followed them from early days. I grew up laughing my head off with Victor Borge. He's smiling on the guys from above and would have made a great UA-camr 😇🥰🎻The boys' story of overcoming health setbacks and re-defining own careers as they bring hilarity and brilliant music to all (and great comfort to millions of musicians 🤣)

@@victrola2007 We 7 children grew up with Victor Borge, Anna Russell and Mother conducting rehearsals of G&S opettas in our lounge room. Her concert pianist career led us all to warmly appreciate all manner of music.
My partner and I were watching ABC when the promo for Australian Story came on, and my partner went, "Oh, look! ABC are featuring your mates!"
Indeed, they are my mates! Even though I don't really know them in real life. I felt so happy for them, but also somehow so proud of myself for being "mates" with them.
Same. They got me through the worst of the COVID days.
Love the route they took. Amazing to see folks with the love of music from childhood, into the academics of music, into the entertainment of music, and bringing such a variety of aspects to music that anyone can enjoy.
Even academics can break into the real world and show more people other than their peers, professors, and families how much they love music.
Notice...I didn't say they are showing how brilliant they are or how grandiose they are in an only insular, siloed academic reach. That's the usual typical direction. Which is okay for them. But they are great for me. Let the lowly old little non musician me see more players. From the amateur to the professional to the academic to the typical classical musician to the UA-camr....bring it on.
More exposure to this music to everyone the more musicians you can inspire to continue their practice.
There will always be hobbyists, amateurs, professionals, and academics. Seeing the music world mix the different levels gives me hope that folks are more open minded to share their talents politely and with compassion.
More learning can be done this way...not less.
I had a close friend who played the piano incessantly and made up his own music and people sought to hear him play. He made up songs in his head that would make you weep and get emotional.
Another friend, in highschool, already in the symphony orchestra, and helping teachers teach music in highschool, and already in the school of music sat and listened to this "so called, less academic, pianist" and was overwhelmed with emotion as he listened to him play. This is a guy who was born in an musically academic family and didn't have the arrogance of all of that destroying his ear for talent amongst so called amateurs or hobbyists. He understood that some folks can make wonderful music by studying it all on their own and with the help of high school teachers at the time.
He immediately wanted to take his work and make the best of creating musical scores of his work. But my friend declined. The pressure to play solo piano at concerts in highschool was already killing him. He broke forever.
One man born in an musically academic family studied hard and played with the professionals. And learned to adapt to the pressures, likely with the HELP of family.
The other man was so talented and could make up music out of his head that was passionate and beautiful and was forced to play in front of others at a young age. That force destroyed him. He wasn't ready for all of that pressure.
I wonder where they are now!?
So many directions art and music can take you.
Glad these guys carved their own path to promoting music as fun and professional. Maybe not the best academic musicians on the planet but amazing. They clearly know their place in the music world. I think it's funny that folks argue over whose best or think, why do they bother.

As someone who has always had friends who were serious musicians, I think the appeal of Eddie and Brett is that they don’t hide their goofy personalities! They show a reality that’s not typically on display when classical music is performed. So millions of people view them as friends rather than just performers.
So I guess it's great that they're 'contributing' to taking art and classical music EVEN less seriously than before. Lets all praise mediocrity. What a world we're living in...
@@seannyandmeI take classical music and the arts *More* seriously since I started watching TwoSet, and even began learning to play violin myself. Now I am the definition of mediocrity when playing. But I'm not playing for anyone so it's okay. 😂 I don't have to be great. I am paying people to teach me so they are getting money.
I'm listening to more classical music than I ever have in my life. I actually want to go to an orchestra performance where I had little interest in doing so before TwoSet. I'm researching how music works, and developing a taste in different composers and learning the history. TwoSet has opened the door for me ,and many like me, to a world that I thought was an "old people thing". If you find them mediocre, that's fine. Everything isn't going to be to everyone's taste. But they encourage people to learn and to listen to people who are great so I fail to see how that can be a bad thing.

@@seannyandme We all start somewhere. From TwoSet, I was able to move on to other, more "serious" options and learn other things. Accessibility doesn't mean we stop at TwoSet. It means that we realize that there's a world that we can go to, and we learn to be where you are.
Also, I don't know if you've actually watched their stuff, but most of it's not dumbed down. I grew up in academia. I know how frustrating it can be trying to decipher something when you don't really grasp the basics. A lot of their content, while technically comedy, is used to break down and explain complicated information in a way that many people can understand. Once they can understand it as a broken down concept, they can build on that to be more understanding of the complicated concepts with less breakdown. That's literally how learning works. Everything needs to be broken down to brass tacks in order to build up. They explain things well, just in a less serious fashion. I can understand how that can be frustrating for you. I do. This is your world and environment too and maybe it feels a bit like mockery. I don't know you and can't speak for you. But that is the impression I'm getting here. I promise you, TwoSet preaches respect. Respect for the performance and performers. The history. They encourage us to go learn and build and grow. They find humor, but keep a foundation of respect for their art. I don't know if that helps. But I hope that your concerns are eased over time and that we can prove you wrong and be the kinds of people that do classical music, and the arts, proud. ❤️

I’ve read many comments on here, especially from the person to whom you were responding, and many people seem to feel that only perfect musicians and serious people can listen to symphonic music. Most of the composers would be appalled by such gatekeepers. Music is meant to be enjoyed. If they can bring more people in, they are successful. If you are snobby and elitist, listen to your perfect performers but don’t downgrade anyone who shares music with others. As Hilary Hahn herself said, the videos bring people to music and that’s great. I’m not sure why people have decided that these boys are worthless if she doesn’t believe them to be. They don’t think they are on her level but they can obviously play which is what most people are able to see. I really don’t see how gate keeping helps music.
This was so nice to see. I’m 75 years old and only found classical music because of 2Set videos. I just fell in love with Violin Concertos. I saw Hillary Hahn on UA-cam with those two guys and I found Hillary such a pleasant person I searched UA-cam for her videos. Then I also found Janine Jansen. Classical music is part of my daily life. I’m basically bedridden and listen to Audiobooks. Hillary Hahn came to St Louis this year 2023. Checked that off my bucket list. I don’t watch TV or sports anymore. But all things SpaceX, Classical Music and Podcasts fill my day. Thanks to Eddy and Brett I love you guys. What lovely families you have. For decades I heard the same old mantra from the music industry: You can't get young people interested in classical music. Finally, Brett and Eddy came along. The rest is history. Bravo. PS: For those musicians out there offended by this post: I am well aware that Brett and Eddy are good, well trained and educated orchestra musicians but not on the exalted level of Hilary Hahn. They know it too. But they treat classical music with respect without being pretentious or condescending. That is what sets them apart from most classical music "popularizers".

Agree. I worked for a symphony orchestra in the late '80s, and their idea of a "youthful" concert was something to attract the 35-50 set. Even when we brought in young artists, like Joshua Bell when he was first breaking, the concerts were geared for a senior audience. You couldn't do anything different because there was this sense that it was "improper" or "too radical." (I remember the same thing said about Seiji Ozawa wearing turtlenecks and love beads under his tux when he took over the BSO lol.) Obviously, those people were wrong.
@@patriciasalem3606 Andrew Reiu brings in young and less 'trad classical' fans, 3 tenors made opera popular to mainstream about 30yrs ago, so too 2 Cellos guys (im not sure if 2cellos started on UA-cam before 2setviolin but they are similar) . There is always a need for some Big Name ppl to bring extra hype to classical to get big crowds to attend, they use to hype up soloists and conductors, now its youtubers as the 'star' drawcard
You just have to have young people that you relate to show you why they love it, then you can relate to it too.

It seems a bit fickle that ppl get excited about classical only after two comedy musicians play & discuss it. Loved the "not enough eye contact" story. It goes to show a lot of the "rules" of success are random - the richest person isn't always the smartest, the most successful performer isn't always the best, and so on. Good on Brett and Eddy on forging their own path.
I've seen this in screenwriting contests too. Like, if you use a flashback in the first act, the judge will automatically toss your entry. It's ridiculous. You have to wonder how many talented creatives miss opportunities because of people in power with these rigid beliefs.
Eye contact with your accompanist is extremely important for more than one reason.

Are there blind people, sure but then the accompanying person has to really adapt to the other person needs which is not normal.
Its less effort and globaly applied to communicate through eyes and head movement to save a lot of time practicing right timing and saving time is saving money.
I still find the Blackpink situation ridiculous. As a kpop fan who is also a violinist I find the Paganini video amazing and hilarious, appreciating both music cultures in a comedic is perfectly fine! TwoSet´s videos with Hilary are one of the reasons I decided to major in music, so finally knowing the whole story is somehow healing < 3

We can't confirm that and I'm pretty sure they didn’t mind cuz they are way too busy to care about a disstrack of their own song when there has like thousands of other disstracks about them. But blackpink die hard fans like to claim false information to argue.
Brett and Eddy always joke about just being “okay” violinists, but despite that they truly are magnificent and skilled musicians. But what’s even more of an amazing feat is the impact they have on the classical music community. I have heard so many times that classical music would eventually die as the younger generations wouldn’t care abt it. But Twoset is honestly one of the prominent figures who keep classical music alive among the youth. And it fills me w so much joy knowing lots of ppl got into classical music despite not being musicians because of them. That, for me, is somewhat even greater than simply being a great musician.
Exactly! I’m finishing high school next year, and ever since I was 10 they’ve been entertaining me and have kept me going with practicing. I’ve really enjoyed watching them expand their audiences and grow through the years, not just with the TwoSet Team, but as musicians as well. They’ve had multiple world tours with so many eager fans ready to meet them and watch them play, they have met up with many well known and highly talented soloists, and they’ve reached such milestones on UA-cam that one could only dream of. I’d say they’re quite magnificent.
They can barely play, that's why they turned Art into bread and circus - their success relies on society craving that over real Art, discipline or talent.

I was overjoyed, impressed and proud for Brett and Eddy to see an Australian Story episode about TwoSet Violin. These two men have worked so hard; it has been so very cool to watch their youtube journey, how they resonate with so many people all over the world.and their impact on bringing classical music out of the shadows for so many folk. Thanks for making this documentary!! This means a lot to us fans, and I believe to them as well. It's so nice to know a bit more about Brett and Eddy, not just through their own videos, but through the eyes of people who knew them well! Thank God they met each other and overcame all those hard times, and thank god they are surrounded by awesome people who love them. Their love and passion towards classical music really never changes after all these years (and it's contagious and touching!), and I believe that's their motivation to what they are doing now. I hope Twoset Violin can be a brand that lasts for a long time and let more young generations know the awesomeness of classical music. Thanks for bringing me back to classical music guys!

They’ve worked all their lives to make this happen, combing fun to violin, while playing seriously at the same time, and inspiring millions of people.
We are in no place to talk, yet discriminate their art as bread and circus.

I wish I had role models like twoset when I was learning the violin as a child, I would have continued my violin lessons. But since 3 years ago that I bumped into their videos on youtube, I have picked up my voilin after 20 years, and I have also signed up for piano lessons at the age of 35. thank you twoset and im so happy that your work is being recgonized!!!

What a great documentary! They've worked so hard, and I especially love the relationship Brett and Eddy have forged with Hilary; she's such a sweet woman.
And as they said, Twoset bring people into the world of classical music. Without them I might not have know who Hilary Hahn was, or I might have been very intimidated by her, but they do interviews and games with her that shows that she's fun and human too.
I love Hilary as a violinist before she's on 2set. Now I love her more as a person and collect every album of hers. I'll say her records sales probably increase ever since bc of people like me.

So making videos is hard work nowadays? I guess practising 10 hours a day to actually become a great musician was out of the question for these comedians...
I teared up when they shared the stage with Hilary Hahn. That was unbelievable and really show that dreams you've given up sometimes come back to you in surprising ways.
A mother saying to her son: „you have to practice at least 30 minutes if you want to eat“ is harsh, I prefer what Rob Landes‘ mother used to say: „it is totally up to you. You only need to practice on the days you want to eat!“ Doesn‘t that sound nicer? 😂
I didn’t know my respect for them could grow any more, but knowing they spent 5 days busking and sleeping outside for their kickstarter was just another level of dedication.

I've been watching Brett and Eddy for years. They've done more to popularise classical music than any other living musician. Multiple generations have discovered a love for classical music that would not have done otherwise. Their genius has opened windows onto music, composers, and the dedication and love of musicians of all genres.
I became a fan of TwoSet Violin around the same time I began to draw every day. I had stopped focusing on art since childhood and picked it up upon leaving a job, in 2020. I felt daily practice was a massive help, and I loved TwoSet's very funny yet extremely legitimate urging of us all to practice. I could see, quite quickly, the rewards of doing something with discipline and rigor, no excuses, and to devote time to it. I began to draw for up to two hours a day, which felt like 40 hours a day! I have never stopped drawing each day, and I am a 2023 National Emerging Art Prize finalist, having only picked up my pencil again in 2020. I owe a lot to Brett and Eddy's message: go practise!
I have some wild theory. Taiwan + Australia + violin = world success. Look at Choliang Lin and Ray Chen and TwoSet. I don't know why, this combination just works every once in a while.

I accidentally tripped over this ABC Australian series and Brett and Eddy's video and now I must go find all the two set videos cause they sound wonderful. Technically, there already was a world that existed like it a 100 year ago. You know what I really want to see is classical music get to back to the point we get to see new composer to cement themselves in pop culture alongside Mozart, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, etc. Now that would be cool.
I discovered Brett and Eddy 2 years ago and decided to start learning the violin since then. I am an electronic music producer and dj and they‘ve opened the doors for classical music for me and it gives me so much pleasure and joy to widen my musical perspectives and just having fun practising. I am glad that Eddy's neurological condition really was psychosomatic. I was having increasing pain and disjunction as a young music student at university, too. Not in a wheelchair then, though. I was also told it was psychosomatic. That"s what doctors say when they can't see anything physical. I have fibromyalgia and CFS/ M.E.
My point is that no matter your mental health, it is still possible to have a physical condition that is not 'all in your head' as doctors are more likely to think. 'Invisible chronic illnesses' are real. I wish I knew this years ago, instead of blaming my brain and punishing myself for making my symptoms up, to stop me playing music.
I don't want other people watching this thinking that the symptoms are always due to stress. Sometimes, yes, they are psychosomatic, but sometimes stress can exacerbate an underlying undiagnosed condition. It's important to figure out each individual's case.
I have fibromyalgia too (started at age 28) and I felt every single word of your comment in my bones...

When I heard him describe that, I immediately thought, uh oh, repetition injury… happened to my sister (a harpist) in her year 12 practicing for her performances. She ‘retired’ and only went back after five years (travelling from Sydney to Frankfurt, learning from an Aussie teacher!). She still lives in Germany, teaching and doing random cool gigs in Apple orchards and kirkes, hope your journey to health is positive!
Why did I have to turn 64 first before I found these two guys? Never mind, it was well worth the wait. Eddie and Brett are probably the most likable guys I ever met. Thank you for just being there and doing what you do so well: playing wonderful music and spreading humorous vibes when they are needed mostly.
22:36 This was the first concert I'd been to in about 20 years, and for my best friend, it was her first classical concert ever. We'd both been watching TwoSet for a few months, which was a huge part of why I rediscovered my love for classical music, and decided to get us tickets for this concert. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole concert, and would have been very satisfied with an evening well spent.
But the surprise of Brett and Eddy walking on stage and performing that encore made it an absolutely unforgettable experience.
I didn't expect to see their parents appear in the documentary! Their parents are so supportive 💕! Lucky Brett and lucky Eddy!!

I'm half Vietnamese, and I imagine there was more conflict in the past than the documentary shows. However, it is good they are supportive in the present day and hopefully this will help children of other Asian families be able to forge their own path.

'Just one more then I'll go to bed' got repeated through the night after I subbed them 3+ yrs ago and binge watched their vids... and there were 1200 back then!! They changed my life in so many ways and now I'm learning the violin!

They have definitely achieved iconic statuses in their own rights for their generation.
Wonderful little documentary. Brett and Eddy reveal a lot of depth, not just slapstick humour. As a violinist still raised on the serious diet of masterclasses with Kremer and Zukerman, I am not young enough to fully get into their version of comedic expression, but thoroughly admire what they do. Their energy is great, and I am also delighted they got Hilary's support. Taking on the K-Pop world was extra-gutsy and deserves special applause :).

I don't think you need to be young to enjoy what these boys do (but having kids a bit younger than them helps with understanding some of the jokes 😉). Agree taking on K-pop was brave - and the result was brilliant!

The funny thing about Eddy's final point is that avoiding that highly competitive stream they were originally in led them to succeed in an even more unlikely stream. It's possibly one where fewer people will ever see their level of success.
True. Though I wish people are more supportive well still being realistic for youth's dreams. Like "Go for your dream. Because in the worst-case scenario, you can still get a business degree or basic trade job in your 30s. Yes, it is lame for years of hard work to go to waste. But the experience, friendship, and memories won't be. And ending up as basic middle class is honestly still a good life." I don't understand why people believe if you don't succeed in your dreams, you end up as deadbeat. When that is literally not true. Though I can agree there is a difference between dreaming, goofing off, or being delusional. Though it would be delusional to try to be an Opera singer when you can't sing. It is not delusional to major in business management and music and go work at Opera House as the event coordinator. You be surprised where life can take you if you are willing to work hard, be willing to be flexible, and willing to accept when a path has ended and you have to go another way.
New fan here! I'm not related to music at all, more an academic. But I gravitated towards them and their channel because it was so genuine, it was fun and relatable. Now after just knowing and watching the for a short time I'm actually considering learning an instrument in the future! Thank you Brett and Eddy for bringing music to someone like me! I considered it too (and I'm, a shall we say, mature lady! My kidz would say ancient!) and went for it... Took up the violin (which I rent for now). No regrets. It's super challenging but super rewarding as well. These guys have changed my life in so many ways that I never would have thought possible a few years ago!
welcome to the club. had 0 interest in learning an instrument before watching two set. after watching for a while i went and bought a violin, found it next to impossible to progress without a teacher. being im an adult its much harder to find someone who will take you as a student. so after i had a sit down with myself i gave up the violin, but have been playing classical guitar for over a year with good progress. there will never be a time in your life you will regret knowing how to play an instrument. find something you vibe with and get to practice.

I've been watching Two-Step Violin for a number of years now; their videos are truly addictive. I even introduced my grandson to their videos and now he plays the violin too! Just love Brett and Eddy! They're so fun, interesting and play so beautifully.

Hmm, seeing Eddy giving serious reflections made me realize that he has a way with words and can be a good writer, lyricist/poet.
Man, I love hearing Eddy nerding out. Brett described him as someone who has a lot of depth, and it truly shows.
Or a Script writer for videos. Which shows how much talent they have. I always find the true talent in becoming a famous UA-camr, is to have the talent to speak. Pair with any subject or talent to go alongside with it. Another great example is Ants Canada. Seriously, a whole channel dedicated to Ants farms. But Like Two Set Violin, blow up to a huge scale. Making very entertaining and educational videos.

I remember watching the Kpop drama unfold. I knew Kpop fans were obsessive but that really took me aback. To have so many threats and then trying to get their concert canceled. It was unreal.

So good - this documentary put a big smile on my face. The only thing I would add: what strikes me as truly special and unique about Twoset's collection of videos is that while yes there are goofy videos that use classical music in a purely fun, silly way, and yes there is the more serious side where there are performance videos that showcase Twoset's talent, as well as guest performers like Ray Chen and Hilary Hahn.. But also there is this in-between element in which their videos really show an APPRECIATION for classical music, talking about what makes a particular performance remarkable, what makes a piece challenging, discussing the dedication and practice required to master an instrument, what emotions are stirred by particular music/composers. And yes they do this using humor, using their knowledge and skill, and most important, an absolutely sincere and evident understanding, love and RESPECT for the music itself that is completely compelling to watch, whether or not you are already a musician or fan of classical music. I think for an audience there is nothing quite so rewarding as seeing someone do what they truly love, a joyful and generous expression of what is in their soul. Bravo to Twoset, thank you for including us in the amazing journey you are on together!

I used to watch pianist comedian Victor Borge on tv. Brett and Eddy are also making classical music accessible to non musicians and people who don’t listen to this genre of music, in a very amusing way.
This documentary made me tear up, I'm so happy for them and to see them succeed. Been following them for years, I saw Hilary Hahn live because I discovered her through their channel. Learned so much about classical music from them, they're such a blessing for the platform

While growing up, my parents always had classical music playing. I heard a lot of pieces I liked, but didn't think anything of it. TwoSet brought me back to classical music and gave me some understanding about classical music, and now I chose to listen to classical music and enjoy it. I can now hear and appreciate classical music, understanding a little bit that the music appreciation class was trying to teach us in elementary school. I've always known I like piano, and the knowledge behind the violinist Brett and Eddy have shown us has brought me to more enjoyment and appreciation. They have also introduced me to other artists, such as Hilary Hahn, and now I have discovered others through traveling UA-cam. Great work Brett and Eddy bringing fun and knowledge. You brought back into the fold of listeners.

I love seeing the respect between the boys and Hillary. They share the love for violin but their craft is also very different. All three are very talented and dedicated musicians who bring their own skills. These collabs are the best! Fantastic documentary! It was so lovely to see Brett and Eddy through the eyes of their family for the first time. And the old footage, wow! I had the privilege of seeing them in London this year, they were astounding. Not to be missed!
Btw, thanks for @twosetviolin, my playlist of classical music has grown more like 1000%, almost without any exaggeration (have always liked classical music, but I didn't go so deeply into it before finding their channel), and today I know around 20-30 composers (at least by name) instead of merely those 5-7 most popular ones.
I’ve been following 274 years, and I’m so excited that their breathing new life in the classical music and bringing a new audience in! I’m an old school rock ‘n’ roll her. I played in punk bands an old rock bands, but when I’m not out playing in bars, I am listening to Paganini and Mozart, and of course Two Set.

As an amateur pianist, I came late to following Two Set just this past year and so this documentary was a wonderful introduction and summary of their success so far.
They should make a tutorial on "How to become 'succesful' being a mediocre violinist" or "How to demean Art by turning it into bread and circus", right? What a world we live in...
I've been a casual viewer of TwoSet Violin on UA-cam and I knew they did concerts, but I had no idea there was so much depth to what they have been doing. I had planned to fast-forward through this video but ended up watching it all. Great job to Brett and Eddy, and to all those who made this documentary.

I don't think it's an understatement to say, they have brought in an entire new generation of young people to sustain the field of classical music, aspiring musicians and an interested, invested community alike. For something that's been steadily "dying out", their success is on par with a miracle.
